IPad Calendar Scroll

Hi
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with this strange issue with the Calendar App on my iPad:
Basically, it no longer scrolls forward reliably in Week view:
• A right to left swipe forward through time is ignored – unless it happens in the 'header' section of the week, where the dates and all day events are. Swipes in the 'middle' of the page don't register.
• Swipes backward through time - left to right - do work, anywhere on the page.
• It seems to be intermittent; mostly it's a problem in landscape orientation. Portrait usually works reliably backwards and forwards, and up and down (the left-right axis in landscape mode, of course)
• Other apps are not affected - the BBC News app, for example, which allows R>L scrolling through stories, or Photos, which also allows R>L scrolling through pictures.
I've tried resetting my iPad - though I restored again from my last backup (possibly stupid of me…). I also deleted a Calendar event I entered last night, before the problem emerged - I wondered if this was corrupt in some way.
Anyone come across this issue? Could it be related to Daylight Saving (which is still a couple of weeks off)? Any clues would be appreciated!
iPad 3, iOS 7.1.

hello Same annoying bug. The scrolling from right to left on landscape mode. to make it work you have to go right once an then left from anywhere on the page. Another solution that works fine for me is to scroll with the finger precisely from top the "Day" line (Monday, tuesday...) after a while I got used to it.
But for me the major problem with iPad calendar -which I hope is a bug- is not to be able to open a specific day from the month view by a single tap on the date of the day. Has anyone this problem too ? To go to the day, you have to tap on week and it opens on a random week which obliges you to scroll again to the day you want. Am I clear ? PLEASE APPLE FIX THAT ISSUE. it used to work great on iOS 6 !!!!!!

  • IPad Calendar Scrolling Issues

    Hello,
I'm having difficulties with the Calendar app on my iPad.
I have my hotmail account calendar, my university account calendar, and of course iCloud account calendar. These usually work well together, but today I have been unable to scroll on week view, unable to see scheduled events before 11:00.
I am also unable to move events, unable to create events.
Overall, it has become very 'laggy'. I've tried turning off the calendars and restarting the iPad, then turning the calendars back on. The problem remains.
Extremely jittery, and unresponsive when touching on events to see further details.

  • TS3999 Yesterday my iphone and Ipad calendars stopped syncing.

Yesterday I noticed that my Iphone and Ipad calendars stopped syncing. I tried running an iCloud backup on both devices but nothing changed.

    1) Settings>iCloud>Calendar>ON.
    2) Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>scroll to Calendars section>Default Calendar>iCloud.
    3) Open Calendar app> tap the "Calendars" button (upleft corner)>tap "Show All Calendars".

  • What is the iPad calendar?

Why is there an iPad calendar? and what is it?  I wanted just my calendar from my Outlook calendar, so this just makes redundancies and I'm not sure where it came from

    Hello Nancy
The iPad calendar you see is a default calendar that is there when the iPad was first set up. If you do not want it there, click on Calendars located on the bottom middle when in the App. Tap Edit and select the calendar, then scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Calendar.

  • Unsynking Facebook birthdays from ipad calendar?

All my Facebook contacts´ birthdays show up in my ipad calendar. ( I have not synked the ipad to Facebook).
How can I get rid of all this birthday info which is cluttering up my calendar?

    @phil1992
Open settings and then choose 'Facebook'.
Then under "Allow These Apps to Use Your Account" turn Calendar off. Birthdays will be gone but so will your events.
    Alternative:
Just disable both Calender and Contacts
    1: Settings
    2:Notifications
    3:scroll down to Facebook
4:Turn Badge App Icon switch to 'Off'

  • Accepting Invitations inside iPad Calendar app

I hope to see the possibility in the upcoming Firmware 4.0 to accept or decline event invitations inside the iPad calendar application. It would also be nice if the iPad could (like the Mac with Mail.app and iCal.app) automatically add an event invitations i got per mail (including .ics files) to the ipad calendar.
I've to use iCal on my Mac to accept an invitation and have to wait till mobileme syncs this info back to my ipad.
btw.: dont forget to add "iPhone OS 3.2" to the dropdown menue here in the forum.

I agree this is most needed, but also for the iPhone & iPod touch devices. They should also allow changing what day is the start of the week (instead of being stuck with Sunday). iCal actually allows you to have the week view scroll by day, so you are always looking at the next 7 days, versus some dates in the past.

  • Microsoft exchange removed from Ipad (Calendar events problem)

I have taken off Microsoft exchange account from Ipad.
now all the emails & contacts with taken off auto as well beside calendar events.
How can i removed all my calendar events as well?
    Thanks,

If I may reply to my own question, I have found the solution.
In Settings "Mail, Conacts, Calendars", if you scroll down the the bottom, there are some Calendar settings, one of which is "Sync".
This sync setting allows one to restrict the syncing of previous events from 2 weeks ago through 6 months ago to All Events.
Changing this setting to "All Events" made no immediate difference to my iPad calendar but after I deleted my Exchange account and then recreating it, all my events back to 2001 reappeared in my iPad calendar.
I guess that this sync setting has a default in iOS 5 to that in iOS 4./

  • Invitees on iPad calendar

How do I get the function of invitees on my calendar for my iPad. It is on my iPhone but not iPad.

I had the same problem and I've worked it out.
    Go to Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendar
    Scroll down to Calendars
    Default Calendar
    Change to iCloud

  • IPhone iPad calendars suddenly not syncing

My iPhone 4S and ipad2 calendars suddenly stopped syncing. Checked the settings both are set to sync to cloud. Read all the help and think I have tried everything from rebooting, removing cookies etc. I am completely baffled as to why and how to fix. Please help

I actually asked you to go to icloud.com website, that is not available for ipad/iphone, you can do that on pc.
You kind of answered my question inderectly by that sentence "I have discovered that if i make or change something on the iCloud calendar in PC  it will sync with both iOS devices."
Now what I think will fix your problem is going to calendars (on both ipad and iphone)
    1. click calendars button in top left
2, uncheck all other calendars but icloud.
    3. go to settings - mail/contacts/calendars- scroll down to calendars -last line default account - change or verify it is icloud.

  • How can I Sync my android phone calendar to my iPad calendar

Trying to find out is there an easy way to get my android phone calendar to sync with my iPad calendar.

Assuming you can sync your android calendar over the air with a Gmail account, you can do the same with a Gmail account on an iPad that is created as an Exchange account. The same for syncing Google contacts.

  • How can I sync my ipad calendar to my g5?

I am new with Mac G5 and I want to sync my ipad calendar to my icalendar, I tried through itune but no luck, I don't get it, it works with my ipod 2nd generation. On my laptop pc it works great but it seems more complicate on Mac...I tried to install iCloud but G5 doesn's support so I am stuck, any help would be appreciated.
    TKS,

I don't get it, it works with my ipod 2nd generation.
That iPod is older and has less stringent system requirements than an iPad. They worked with older Macs and lower levels OS versions. You need a minimum of OS 10.5.8 to work a 2011/12 vintage iDevice. And, as you've discovered, iCloud requires OS 10.7
If you include your approximate geographic location in your profile, perhaps someone can offers suggestions for a vendor close to you. Apple no longer sells OS10.5 so you'll have to hit the murky third-party market for find it.

  • Since Mavericks update my iPhone and iPad calendars are NOT syncing with the calendar on my MacBook Pro

Since Mavericks update my iPhone and iPad calendars
are NOT syncing with the calendar on my MacBook Pro.
I used to use iTunes but don't see the options now.
Does anyone know how to set up a sync.?

I have temporarily solved the sync problem by using an older MBAir running snow leopard, I exported
both calendar and contacts and imported them in the MBA and synced normally.
Since I'm not about to send my data on the cloud, or setup a server to just sync my iphone,
I think this is a good workaround ! BTW I stopped updating my contacts and calendar on the MB, I only
update the iphone until a permanent solution is found !
And they better come up with one soon, because I'll just switch to an Android phone and Ubuntu linux for my MBP, Apple should make our lives easier, not harder !
I'm sure Samsung is having a ball ever since the sync issue was made public !
Hopefully Apple is listening and will make things right again !

  • How do I set the first day of the week as Monday in the iPad calendar?

I must be missing something - simply want Monday to show up first in week view in the iPad calendars. I've seen suggestions of changing from US to UK region settings but I don't want to change formats for numbers, etc globally.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

At the moment I don't think that it's possible apart from via the Region Format which you don't want to change. You can try leaving feedback and maybe it'll get changed in a future release of iOS : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Ipad calendar does not sync to PC or Iphone

I make an entry on my calendar on my PC using Outlook.  The entry goes to my IPhone Calendar but does not go to my IPad calendar  Under Settings on the IPad and IPhone both show Not Connected..

Verify Settings that Sync is active as well as Account login to iCloud or other providers (Yahoo!, Goggle or Hotmail) all support Calendar's to PC Oulook.

  • IPad-Calendar I cannot view the month March 2013

In iPad-Calendar I cannot view the month March 2013, the calendar crashes. To view the week or the day, no problem, but the month is not working.
iPad III, latest updates on iOS installed.

Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving.
