Why a calendar entry made into my Ipad 2 does not sync with my Mac, if i do it from the Mac no problem?

Welcome to the Apple Community.
First check that all your settings are correct, that calendar syncing is checked on all devices (system preferences > iCloud on a mac and settings > iCloud on a iPhone, iPad or iPod).
Make sure the calendars you are using are in your 'iCloud' account and not an 'On My Mac', 'On My Phone' or other non iCloud account (you can do this by clicking/tapping the calendar button in the top left corner of the application ), non iCloud calendars will not sync.
If you are sure that everything is set up correctly and your calendars are in the iCloud account, you might try unchecking calendar syncing in the iCloud settings, restarting your device and then re-enabling calendar syncing settings.

IPad Calendar sync problem

Hello. I have a strange problem that has come up within the past few weeks.
When I create a new event in the calendar app on my iPad2 (ver 6.1.3), it doesn't sync with my other devices or iCloud. But, when I create a new event on any other device, my iPad will sync and the event will appear in the calendar.
So far I've tried going to settings>iCloud and turning Calendars OFF, then turning it back on. No luck there.
Any other suggestions? Thank you!

IPad Calendar sync with Microsoft Exchange problem

I use Microsoft Exchange to sync my Google Calendars with my iPad & iPhone. I have a work, personal & business calendar. On my iPhone it sync all three calendars, but on my iPad it only sync my personal calendar. What can I do to fix this, if anything or does there need to be a software update?

Go to m.google.com/sync and set which calendars you wish to show up. Nothing broken.

IPad calendar syncs with Exchange 2007, except for meetings attachments

Calendar app in iPad 3.2.2 and iPhone 4.1 both sync fine with corporate Exchange 2007 server, except that meeting attachments do not show. These meeting attachments do show in OS X 10.6.5/iCal 4.0.4
A work-around on iPad/iPhone is to access Outlook Web Access (OWA) on Exchange 2007 via Safari to access calendar, in which case attachments do show.
However Calendar app in iPad/iPhone gives no indication which meetings might have attachments, so it's not easy to know when one must use OWA to download meeting attachments.
Can anyone else confirm meeting attachments not showing up in iPad/iPhone? Or is this a config problem on our corporate Exchange 2007 server?

TS3999 iPad calendar syncing problem

I recently purchased an iPad. My Mobile Me calendar will not transfer to iCloud so that it can then sync onto my iPad. I am able to see my Mobile Me calendar just fine on my Macbook and on my iPhone. What do I need to do to make that work.

Help! iPad calendar sync issues with Exchange server

Hello, I've googled this issue and haven't come across with any definitive answer so I'll put it up here to see if anyone have any idea(s).
iPad 3G/Wifi working fine for over a month (firmware 3.2.1) synching with MS Exchange server (only Mail account on the device), over the weekend, calendar entries have disappeared. I've deleted the mail profile and reset it up again, here's what happens, email starts to pull down, same with contacts and Calendar entries, then while Calendar App is open on Month view I can see that the appointments are also being sync then after about a minute, all the entries will just disappear, if I wait a few more minutes, the appointments will start to repopulate again then disappear again after about a minute! Email and contacts are fine, just this Calendar issue.
More background data: User is using an iMac with Entourage 2008, his EA has full email rights to his mailbox and have his email profile on Outlook 2003, both are showing correct Calendar entries on desktop, have also checked the account on OWA and it looks fine there as well.
I'm guessing a corrupt calendar entry (possibly re-occuring appointment)... Does any one have any other thoughts?

I have been having very similar issues to those described by Imola. The calendar appears to try to load, and a few appointments may show up, but then they will all (or almost all) dissapear. My company uses Exchange 2003.
Occassionally, deleting a large attachement has helped. But not always. Several times in the past, I have exported all my calendar entries as a .csv file, deleted all the calendar entries in Outlook, and then re-imported the .csv file. While this always works to re-populate my calendar, it also strips functionality (like recurring appointments).
This is very frustrating, and results in me havinging to rely on my Blackberry while traveling, when I would like to just trust the data in the iPad. A web search clearly shows that many people have this issue, but I have not yet seen any direct responses from Apple. I hope this is addressed soon.

Since a few weeks (I feel since the update is available iOS7) calendar synchronization between my iPad and iCloud does not work ... Note that I do not wish to update iOS7 .. I hope Apple does not cause the malfunctioning to force me to do the update ...

Need to sync my new iphone5 calendar to my ipad calendar

Here is what I hope is enough detail to assist in helping me sync my iphone5 calendar to my ipad calendar.
I have an ipad2 which is set up under my general family email address. I recently purchased my wife an iphone4S
and used the same email address to set up my wife's iphone.   The calendar on her iphone and the ipad calendar
sync fine when updated from either device.
I just purchased an iphone5.   The sales rep suggested that I set up a new user email login to prevent contacts from
being sychronized and mixed between my phone and my wife's phone.
I have two calendars set up on the ipad2 under the one email ID.     Home calendar and work calendar.
However, I can not seem to get my iphone5 to sync with either the home or work calendar on the ipad2. I suspect
it is because I used one email ID to set up the ipad2, and a different email address ID to set up my iphone5.
Is there a way that I can sync my iphone5 with the family's ipad2 without using the same email ID to set up my iphone5?
I do not want our address books to be intermixed from the two iphones.

Okay.....I didn't wait long enough...typed "Test" in the calander app on the NEW iPad...it showed up on the old iPad and finally on the old iPhone....not on the New iPhone5....
After looking further into the iPhone5, I noticed there is no place, that I can find, for me to pick "from iPad". The choices that I have on new iPhone5 is "from my PC", "Exchange", and my email address. My new iPad isn't listed as a choice..... IDEAS????

I was wrong...it showed up on my new iphone, but not the old one...but the rest of the appointments that I have in my new iphone and old ipad are still not showing up on the NEW iPad....

Calendar sync ios 6

I updated to IOS 6.
The calendar (Google-account) has synced some appointments in the calendar, but some are not synced. It looks very random, cant find a pattern. It worked before the update. VERY frustrating. All appointments have been double-checked to see that they are in the same calendar and so forth.
Any solution to this?

Still struggling with this! From my iPhone (on iOs6) the calendar syncs just fine, also back to calendar in laptop.
In iPad calendar sync stopped happening yesterday some time. Tried many of the suggestions around, culminating in deleting Gmail account and re adding.
I notice that if I just add it with mail it works fine.
If I try to add with calendar or notes it will not work. Further, if I try to add calendar or notes AFTER adding account with just mail, it sits there saying "turning on calendars/notes" for ever. Nothing happens.
I can access all Google capabilities with Google iPad app, but that rather negates the benefit of having your calendar accessible in iPad when offline!
This is clearly an iOS6 and (quite likely iPad specific) issue.

Major problems with iPhone 4 & iPad 2 both 5.1.1. - Outlook Calendar sync

Folks, really need some help here, being forced to revert to Blackberry Bold 9000 because of issues with Outlook Calendar sync since 5.1.1 upgrade on both my iPhone & iPad. Our company Enterprise Active Sync server is 2003 (please don't mention upgrade - already a seperate conversation byt all costs).
email sync's fine on both devices, plus i can continue to use both iCloud accounts, and BT yahoo mail etc !
national holidays set up in Outlook calendar come across, as does some calendar items, but then falls into a resync mode with nothing staying in the device, i can also see and read calendar invites, but once accepted, they disappear !
Searching the internet suggests I'm not alone with this issue - any ideas welcome, seems not to be a problem on os 4 !!! but A) I don't know how to regress and B) why should I ?

Finally, I've been using the devices without issue for nearly 2 years - so again it's linked to 5.1.1. upgrade !

Firstly, apologies for the slow response to your very quick reply !
I've checked back, we're using Exchange 2007.
We've actually got a ticket open with Apple at present, so anticipate that a patch may be available.
It is still curious though that out of a 200 user community trialling our internal iPhone & iPad pilot, we only have 2 issues (mine and a colleagues), however anticipate that there will be more issues as nearly entire community is on 5.1.1.
On a second point, any ideas how one can rollback to 4.3.3 on an iPhone or iPad ? I can't find anything that implies a self rollback without jail breaking the device ?

I've done all of these things, and nothing is working. I understand how the cloud is supposed to work, and I understand how to sync via itunes. For some reason, the calendar is the only thing that isn't syncing.
I have support on the phone now. We've figured out that if I make a calendar entry on icloud from my PC, it follows through on my phone and ipad. Same if I make the entry on my iphone - it follows to icloud on my PC and ipad. But when I make the entry on the ipad, it doesn't follow through to my iphone or icloud on my PC.
I've had a tech walking me through all of this for about a half hour now. Can't figure it out. He's checking with his senior tech, has me on hold right now. It's looking like I may have to make a trip to my nearest Apple store, 45 minutes away.

Assuming you can sync your android calendar over the air with a Gmail account, you can do the same with a Gmail account on an iPad that is created as an Exchange account. The same for syncing Google contacts.

How can I sync my ipad calendar to my g5?

I am new with Mac G5 and I want to sync my ipad calendar to my icalendar, I tried through itune but no luck, I don't get it, it works with my ipod 2nd generation. On my laptop pc it works great but it seems more complicate on Mac...I tried to install iCloud but G5 doesn's support so I am stuck, any help would be appreciated.

I don't get it, it works with my ipod 2nd generation.
That iPod is older and has less stringent system requirements than an iPad. They worked with older Macs and lower levels OS versions. You need a minimum of OS 10.5.8 to work a 2011/12 vintage iDevice. And, as you've discovered, iCloud requires OS 10.7
If you include your approximate geographic location in your profile, perhaps someone can offers suggestions for a vendor close to you. Apple no longer sells OS10.5 so you'll have to hit the murky third-party market for find it.

I have temporarily solved the sync problem by using an older MBAir running snow leopard, I exported
both calendar and contacts and imported them in the MBA and synced normally.
Since I'm not about to send my data on the cloud, or setup a server to just sync my iphone,
I think this is a good workaround ! BTW I stopped updating my contacts and calendar on the MB, I only
update the iphone until a permanent solution is found !
And they better come up with one soon, because I'll just switch to an Android phone and Ubuntu linux for my MBP, Apple should make our lives easier, not harder !
I'm sure Samsung is having a ball ever since the sync issue was made public !
Hopefully Apple is listening and will make things right again !

Calendar On Ipad not Syncing to Iphone Icloud

Hi I recently had an i pad mini for christmas.
When i tried to sync my calendar from my iphone, only certain events from the past few weeks would sync not all of the year.
I have gone into settings and made sure that i have the option for everything to be synced and have identical settings on both devices.
I have also noticed that when i try and add an event on my i pad not only does it not sync but sometimes it doesent show up at all not even on the ipad i just created the event on.
I would also like to point out that every event i create on my iphone shows up on icloud but does not always show up on i pad

Please make sure that you create new events in an iCloud calendar (open the event and check field calendar) and not in local calendar or in a calendar from another service that you also set up on one of your devices.
If you would like to see all the events of the year, then please make sure that you choose the option in "Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > (section Calendar) > Sync > All Events".
