Ipad can't connect to wifi
Why won't my ipad2 connect with wifi. MacBook Pro and PC work, original iPad works and iphone3G recognizes it, although not very strong.
I tried Powering Off and Reset Network Settings but still not connecting. The iPad2 recognizes the wifi with fill strength, when I go into settings
and choose it there are no codes or numbers in IP,Router, DNS, etc., where as on the original iPad those fields are all full, I can not manually enter any.
It worked in the past OK but the signal was really poor in some areas of the house, we tried another router which did not work for other reasons and hooked this one back up, and now I have nothing. What do I try next.
I don't know how it answer or get some details, maybe some guidance will help.
This is what I can tell you :
We have DLink DIR625, not sure how to find out what version or firmware level
We do not have a password on the system (we are in the country with no neighbours to interfere)
Can I find the answers for these questions asked somewhere on my computer?
My iPad2 does work on other networks
In System Preferences under Networks on my MacBook Pro, I have the following info:
Configure IPv4 : Using DHCP
IP Address : 192.168.0.127
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Router : 192.168.0.1
DNS Server: 192.168.0.1
Search Domain: sympatico.ca
On iPad - original older version
IP Address : 192.168.0.167
all the rest of the details are the same
On iPhone 3GS
IP Address : 192.168.0.117
all the rest of the details are the same
These 3 items all are currently working fine
I can not access my husbands PC, so do not know what those codes are on his.
On my iPad2 all these feilds are blank and I can only manually enter in the
DNS Server and Search Domain sections
Any other guidance would be greatly appreciated

My Ipad can't connect to WiFi. I tried to reset and connect to the wifi network, it will divert me to the IOS page...could you please help? Thanks.
Try a soft reset or turn the device completely off then turn it back on again. Also you can toggle Airplane mode on for about 10 seconds and then turn it off. Sometimes that resets the radio signal inside the device.
A soft reset is basically holding onto the power button and the home button simultaneously together for about 10 seconds or until you see the screen flash and it should go completely black. Afterwards, tun the device back on like normally and see if that fixes the problem. -

My new Ipad 3 cannot connect to WIFI even it has a full bar of reception. In the same location, my Windows 7 PC and Andorid Smart phone can connect to the same WIFI without any issues. How can I fix it? Without WIFI, the WIFI only IPAD is nearly useless. If it cannot be fixed, can I get a replacement for IPad 2?
Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation. If defective, you'll get a replacement.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

My ipad has stopped connecting to wifi, a reset hasn't worked, what else can I try? (the wifi is fine as other apple products connect ok)
Have you tried a 'hard reset'. You do not lose any of your data on the iPad.
Here are the steps:
Press the Power Buton and the Home button simultaneously.
Continue to hold down both buttons until the iPad shuts off
Release the buttons when the Apple Logo appears.
Also, make sure your iPad is not in airplane mode. Settings, Airplane mode is the first option under settings,
Hope this helps. -

Can't connect to wifi in hotels in Ireland with iPhone 5
Can't connect to wifi in hotels in Ireland with my iPhone 5. My iPad 3 works fine. When I enter the wifi password for the network I always get the error message "Incorrect password for XYZ". No problem with iPad 3.
Returned home only to find the same situation with my home network. Much time on chat support with Apple. Short story long: Must have been corrupted software. Had to restore original original software then add back apps and music. Couldn't back up before doing the restore so I lost a bunch of pics, but at least the phone is working once again.
