Ipad cannot connect to email server
Since I updated my iPad to ios 6.1 last Thursday I have been unable to access my email. It appears that it cannot find the email server. My wi-fi is working fine. I have looked at all my settings and am mystified. My iPhone update worked fine and I am getting mail on my iPhone. Is it possible my iPad is "locked out"?
I was able to fix it by deleting the account and setting it back up again.

IPad cannot connect to exchange server
I keep getting an error message when I try to retrieve email from my exchange account.
Cannot get mail. The connection to the server failed.
My safari internet works perfectly. I have checked my mail settings and they seem to be correct. What are some steps that I should take to troubleshoot this issue? Is this most likely an issue on the mail server?
I was reading a post where the user stated their fix was: "The fix was that my IT department had to explicitly add my iPad serial number as an authorized device against my exchange account."
Is this something that has to be done? How would I go about adding my iPad serial number as an authorized device against my exchange account? Exchange ActiveSync?
Any and all information would be helpful.

Apple ipad 'Cannot connect to the server'
When using Mail, iPad says ' Cannot connect to server'
it's an icloud mail account.
The original ipad has internet connectivity.
I've set up the same account on a different ipad and no probelms.
I've tried deleting the acocunt and reinstalling but still the problem persists
Any ideas?I haven't updated yet. Apple's download servers have been too busy. Did you know you can update via wifi instead of connection to your computer?

Updated to lollipop yesterday. Now I cannot access email server (POP3) on wifi, only over 4G. This is happening on native email app and third party apps such as K9. Any help appreciated.
We're terribly sorry to hear about the email issues. Let's get this resolved immediately. Since the update, have you tried to delete and re add the email account?

Cannot connect my email server to Mail.
Hey... so I'm trying to connect my yahoo mail account on apple mail, but when I try to send something a message always comes up saying:
"The server “plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk” cannot be contacted on the default ports. Select a different outgoing mail server from the list below or click Try Later to leave the message in your Outbox until it can be sent."
So does anyone know how to correctly connect a yahoo account? There's a bunch of funny abbreviations like POP & SMTP, I don't know what those mean... Can anyone help?
ThanksA couple of questions to clarify things:
1. Your profile shows you are in Vancouver, WA (USA); yet you are saying that the yahoo mail server you are referring to is in England?
2. You need to check your settings in Mail and tell us if you have a POP or IMAP account with your ISP (Internet Service Provider). My guess - if you are in Vancouver - you have Comcast? Which would mean it's POP, but we need to make sure.
You can see that information in your Preferences -> Accounts.
3. If you are in the US, Yahoo does not offer automatic forwarding of emails unless you are willing to upgrade to and pay for the Yahoo Plus (I believe they still offer it free in some parts of Europe, but not in the US).
SMTP simply means "outgoing mail server" and, if you are on Comcast, it would read "smtp.comcast.net"; that information would also be available in the Accounts pane.
Without getting more in-depth information, we can only guess at this point. If you'd be able to set up Yahoo, you would have to follow Yahoo's instructions on server name and port numbers. That information is available from Yahoo. -
Cannot connect to email server over wifi
After updating to ios 6.0.1 on ipad I am unable to connect to exchange 2003 server while connected to internal office wireless.

I was reading some of the other posts here and found on that did the trick !!!!
All I had to do was "reboot" the iPad by "Hold down the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time until it shutsdown, then keep holding it until the Apple logo appear." I didn't even have to delete the mail account

Update: It connected and downloaded new mail .... but just tried to send an email and got an error that it could not send . I'll try removing the email account,shut down and try to reload the account. Will update what I find out . -

I cannot get emails through hot mail, on my ipad 4, every time I try it keeps coming up cannot connect to the server. Every thing looks correct

Error message received submitting form via email - "Acrobat cannot connect to the server"
Some of my users are unable to submit form data. The forms are set up to be submitted via email and only a few of the users are effected. They have installed the latest versions of both Acrobat and Adobe Reader.
"Acrobat cannot connect to the server, but will automatically submit your form once the server is online. You can check tracker for the status of this submission."
"You have already submitted the data on this form and it is waiting to be sent. Further changes are not allowed until the prior data is sent."
I know that this question has been asked before, but there has not been a response. This is very frustrating.

Only sporatic users get the error, and I've been unable to duplicate it from my machine. I am on Adobe Reader v 10.1.2.
Actually I can get around the error if I were to downgrade to Adobe v9, but that is a bandaid fix - not really a secure answer. -
I have two iPads and one is connected to the internet but my other iPad was connected then was not and since then I have not been able to add my internet back onto my iPad it only says cannot connect to the server any help would be great thanks
If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPad. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
First, test your iPad on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
If your iPad does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPad is bad.
If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured. -

After the internet was back up and running, I could no longer send outgoing mail from my Mac Mail 5.3 application. I didn't change any settings or update any software, yet the IT person i was talking to (the same who corrected my internet issue) was saying it was a Mail problem.
I disagree considering it was working 1/2 hour before we started our conversation!
Any insight would be helpful.

Ipad 2 keeps saying cannot connect to the server when i put in my facebook password
All the new updates made my ipad 2 not work well and hesitate so I cleared off all content and reset all settings and then downloaded all current updates. I now get a message every time I open my ipad 2 that says Log into Facebook. I do that with the correct password under settings and then get the ERROR: "CANNOT CONNECT TO THE SERVER" All is good on both my iphone and Mac book Air

Have you tried rebooting your router - unplug it for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again - or temporarily disabling your firewall or anti virus software?
Restart or reset the iPad?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
