IPad case...HELP!!

Just got an iPad for my bday from my husband!!! Super stoked, but I'm bummed that I can't find the right case for it...and so I don't let her leave the house :(
There are so many case options out there, it's head-spinning.
My requirements seeem simple:
1. Folio style with front and back coverage
2. Integral stand (wone that orks well and won't slip down when typing)
3. Low profile clips to hold iPad in place
4. Not Black! (I really want something that is a bit more stylish /unique and less business-looking)
5. Stylus holder
6. Magnetic sleep/wake
Is this too much to ask? I've scoured the Internet for several days non stop!
Please, any advice would be so appreciated!

If you want a carrying case, I bought one of these and it is super! There are pockets for your phone, small camera, a net for your charging cable, extra pockets for airline boarding passes, and probably a small sandwich. I bought the red one as it matches my roll aboard. Incidentally, I am male and it does somewhat resemble a small purse, but at my age that makes no difference! This is great when traveling as it will fit under any airline seat.

Can anyone recommend an iPad case that will protect my iPad when carrying it around in a rucsack -- or a site that will give me some reviews of cases?
I can find lots of cases in the shops, but nowhere giving me advice about what type I need.

Three options:
1. Keep your Smart Cover, and purchase an INCASE neoprene iPad sleeve. They are very protective, and H20 resistant.

Notice the trend?...KEEP YOUR SMART COVER...it is with out a doubt the most practical accessory for the iPad. I cannot comment on folios, or other cases of that genre as bulky cases are not my cup of tea. If you want simplicity, yet refinement choose one of the options I listed. [HELP] New iPad case greasy. How can I clean this?

I Got a new targus iPad case and I guess my hand had vaseline on it or something and I touched the case. I
tried cleaning it with water and soap and it made it kind of worse.
Any ideas to clean it?

Found the solution at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1692.
In my case, resetting the sync history and disabling the add-ins fixed the problem.

Best iPad case for hospital/ER use?

Hi all,
I'm an ER doc and our department just received new iPads as we move into the electronic medical records age.
I need a strong yet practical (lightweight) iPad case.
We will carry it from patient room to room and use it for documenting histories and charts.
I've read other threads about practical sanitation of iPads but that's not that big of deal since I'd rather just take it out of the case to clean it or just wipe the whole thing in its entirety with our sanitation wipes.
I'm mainly looking for something that can protect against drops, spills/blood/fluids but not weigh like a brick.
Our documentation program is also compatible with a stylus.
Are the hard screen protectors on most cases OK for stylus use in terms of accuracy and details?
Any input and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

My company Alphyn Industries just developed a scrub that holds your iPad for you on your chest with our LEDGE system. It frees both your hands and the iPad is suspended perpendicular to your chest when needed.

IPad case recommendation for UK

Hi,
I am looking for an iPad case for a xmas pressie and was looking at a dodo, portenzo style etc, but was wondering if anybody has anything similar in the UK? The shipping costs are so high to get these from the states.
I did a bit of research and found one that looks very similar www.patsoncase.com
Has anybody got one of these or heard anything about them? I can't find much on the Internet but they seem to sell on Etsy too and have good feedback. Works out quite a bit cheaper when you take shipping into account, but want to make the right decision!

I returned mine..I exchanged it for a belkin silicone case (clear)
First off before you buy a case ask yourself these questions
Do i need a case that will help me type?
Do i need a case that does not hide the ipads curves?
Do i need a case and a small bag for travel?
Do i need a case that can also cover the screen?
Do i have the time to clean at least once a week the case and e screen?
Do i need a case that fits perfectly?
Do i like to pimp up my ipad like putting skins ?
1. If you want a case that will help you type, the apple ipad case has different functions and you can use it to that advantage especially on a flat surface unlike the belkin silicone case
But when it comes to typing when you are on a coach or on your bed i can say that both apple case and belkin are at par
2. The apple case is black and it covers everything the ipad has ( a nice silver finish at the back, curves etc.)
While the belkin silicone clear case shows it off
Its like choosing a classic black dress over bikini vice versa
3. Some people brings there ipad when travelling and i tell you, you STILL need a good netbook bag/sleeve for your ipad even if it is in a apple case. The apple case is not that durable for the to be safe in your bag
4. Yes the apple case covers the screen BUT it still cant protect your ipad from your fingers and that also goes to the belkin case
Solution? Get a screen protector
5. One of the main reason why i returned the apple case coz it gets dirty FAST and very hard to remove i dont have the time to clean the screen of my ipad better yet the case, so i returned it.
6. Apple ipad case fits okay but not that great compared to the belkin silicone case
7. One of the best features of a belkin clear case is that you can buy a wide variety of skins for your ipad like in gelaskin or musicskin and you can still put the ipad on your silicone case. Really eye catchy when your using your ipad on a public place and it adds personality too

IPad Case/Cover

Does anyone know of an iPad case/cover that protects the back and sides of the iPad and covers all of the buttons including the home button? I have searched the internet and haven't found any. We would like to have this cover so our users can't exit out of our company's application we are building. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The application would have to be internal. As of right now I don't believe there are any cases that prevent access to the home button. If the application is going to be internal you could poke around some APIs and see if there is a way to disable the home button from use.

My iPad air does not have an lock on/off toggle for the smart cover ipad cases.

Last week I received my new at&t 64gb iPad air. (This is my 3rd iPad. 2nd that, I assume, can use a smart cover style ipad case.) Although I have not purchased a new cover for it yet. I could not help but notice that in the Settings/general there is no "Lock" on/off toggle for the magnetic cover as ther is on my iPad3. does anyone know if there is supposed to be one on the ipad air or did apple do away with the toggle altogether?

Settings > General > Lock/Unlock shoud still appear.
You must be running iOS 7 (which you presumably are doing on an iPad Air). And you should be using a Smart Cover or Smart Case made by Apple. Third party covers/cases may well not function.

The iPad Case Thread

With the iPad out less than a month, it's surprising to see how many cases are out there. Unfortunately, most cases are not available in stores, so it's hard to get a read on them. iLounge.com did a great review of many of the cases. I thought an iPad case thread would give us an opportunity to share out thoughts with the cases we have purchased, what we like, what we dislike.
I'll go first:
I decided that I didn't want a portfolio type...I prefer my iPad "naked" in my hands. To protect it, I used the Bodyguardz front/back/sides protector. The back give me just enough grip to reduce the slipperyness of the iPad. For a case, bought the Waterfield Designs Slip Case (sfbags.com). It is a snug fit, nicely lined with a plastic "shield" built in to prevent damage to the screen. If provides great protection and can slip into a brief case, shoulder bag, etc. I'm very happy with it...it's well made and great customer service. In addition, their site shows videos of each bag so you can seen them in action.
Anyone else buy a case they like/dislike? Let's hear it....

I think the problem with the iPad accessories in general is A) the lack of hands -n availability of the cases and B) Not knowing how to treat the iPad and C) the size of the unit requires more raw material and thus higher prices and probably less profit margin. Its not a phone, not a touch, not a notebook, not a tablet pc.......its a hybrid of its own. I don't even think the manufacturers of these cases are hip to what the case should be like. Thats going to take some time in my opinion.

I tried the "Gelli" Case from Case-Mate for $39.99 with free shipping from case-mate.com. Its one of the most attractive case I have seen but it didnt improve the feel of the iPad in my hands. It was almost an extension of the slippery feel of the naked iPad. I kept it for 3 weeks to really make sure I didnt like it. And its not so much that I didnt like it, but I also didnt love it. I have returned it for a refund. Again, its a well made and attractive case, its just not for me. I WISH they would make a Barely-There line for the iPad as I have them for my iPod Touch.

I also ordered a leather folio from HD ACCESSORY.com for $29.95 plsu $8.00 shipping. My hopes were to have a leather carry case for meetings and the like. I looked at the apple case, the other cases from incase and the like, but each one had a "fatal flaw" of one kind or another for me. So I ordered the leather folio from HDA as mentioned above. It arrived last weekend and was a disappointment. The "straps" wouldnt hold the iPad in place, and there was glue on the inside "suede" lining, very unprofessional. I have since shipped it back and am hoping for a full refund.

Last weekend I was at Best Buy and found a Belkin "Grip Swell" (cute name) and purchased it for $49.99 + tax (yikes!). Its soft and "grippy" , perhaps not quite as "grippy" as I would prefer, but I still like the case. It improves the experience of the iPad as a case should. I have opted to keep it despite the high cost of the unit.

I just bought a Scrabble game but it doesn't sit right in my IPad case. It's vertical not horizontal. I'd like to know how to fix or get a different one that sits horizontally.

I have tried clicking all around and I cannot get to the contact manager at all anymore. Now when I click to it I go to My Verizon Online Sign In - Verizon Wireless (not sure if that link works here) and the web site says:

If the shows are in fact still on the pad, they will be found in the videos app, not the music or I tunes app. Look there and see if they are still there.
If you don't see them there, go to the searchlight screen ( farthest left home page) and type in the name of one of the shows. If it is on the pad, hiding somewhere, this will find it.
If they are not there, they should not be using up space.
To get them back onto your pad, plug in and sync again. Make sure you transfer purchases first. Before you sync, take a look at the video tab in your I tunes, and check what you want and don't want synced.

Oh - I see that you have that article linked to your post above. Read the entire paragraph in item #1. It tells you what to do if it is asking for a passcode.
