IPad Case Recommendations

Hi all,
I'm looking for an iPad case that will alow me to prop up the iPad for use in the kitchen, family room, etc. I don't intend to transport it outside, so hardcase options like the Otterbox aren't necessary. I also read several somewhat negative reviews about Apple's iPad case, so I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who can recommend some decent options. Thanks, Don

Personally, I think the iPad case is ugly. My problem is with the exterior finish. It's like a suede finish and, as such, really shows blemishes, smudge marks, etc. I bought my iPad about a month ago and took a close look at the Apple case - owned by several friends - before deciding to go looking elsewhere.
After looking at dozens I settled on the Cyber Acoustics IC-1000BK. It's very nice looking, made of black leather with a smooth, matte exterior finish that does not show smudges and cleans easily (they also have the same case in red leather).
I like the way it holds the iPad very securely with soft plastic tabs at the four corners and then leaves the rest of the edges and all controls accessible. It has two small elastic straps at corners that can be used to keep the case securely closed - a feature I rarely use, but something you may want to employ during periods when the iPad is not being used. It also has an internal, wide elastic strap to put your hand through while holding the iPad in portrait mode - another feature I don't choose to use.
I found this for sale at a number of internet sites, but ended up buying directly from Cyber Acoustics. Since they ship for free, their price + shipping was as good as any.

IPad case recommendation for UK

Hi,
I am looking for an iPad case for a xmas pressie and was looking at a dodo, portenzo style etc, but was wondering if anybody has anything similar in the UK? The shipping costs are so high to get these from the states.
I did a bit of research and found one that looks very similar www.patsoncase.com
Has anybody got one of these or heard anything about them? I can't find much on the Internet but they seem to sell on Etsy too and have good feedback. Works out quite a bit cheaper when you take shipping into account, but want to make the right decision!

Recommendations for waterproof ipad case?

I'm looking for a waterproof case to take my iPad to the beach. I've seen some but reviews are sketchy. Would love some feedback/recommendations. Thanks!

I have to agree with PogoPossum about readability but if you are under an umbrella, it ain't so bad. I suggest that you search the web for waterproof iPad case, there are a few good enclosures available that are not plastic bags, I own a company that sells a cost effective one but we are not allowed to post advertisement here...

Can anyone help me find a suitable iPad case?

Can anyone recommend an iPad case that will protect my iPad when carrying it around in a rucsack -- or a site that will give me some reviews of cases?
I can find lots of cases in the shops, but nowhere giving me advice about what type I need.
I'd like one tough enough to keep it safe in a bag and which has received good reviews.

Three options:
1. Keep your Smart Cover, and purchase an INCASE neoprene iPad sleeve. They are very protective, and H20 resistant.
2. Keep your Smart Cover, and purchase an INCASE magnetic snap back. They prevent scratches, and enhance the functionality of the Smart Cover.
3. Keep your Smart Cover, and purchase an INCIPIO smart feather. They also prevent scratches, and enhance the security of the the Smart Cover.
Notice the trend?...KEEP YOUR SMART COVER...it is with out a doubt the most practical accessory for the iPad. I cannot comment on folios, or other cases of that genre as bulky cases are not my cup of tea. If you want simplicity, yet refinement choose one of the options I listed. Looking for a case recommendation - special requirements

I just moved up to an i4 from an i3G, and I'm looking for a decent case to protect the entire phone. I really need something for a rugged environment, and it has to have a belt clip. I have a very active job so this isn't going to be a pocket phone or sitting in the center console of a Rolls Royce. I have a Speck Tough Case on my 3G, and besides the extreme shock protection, it completely covers everything on the face except for the display. Spec makes a "Tough Skin" for the i4 but it doesn't cover the upper area of the faceplate like their Tough Case did for the 3G.
Any recommendations?

Best iPad case for hospital/ER use?

Hi all,
I'm an ER doc and our department just received new iPads as we move into the electronic medical records age.
I need a strong yet practical (lightweight) iPad case.
We will carry it from patient room to room and use it for documenting histories and charts.
I've read other threads about practical sanitation of iPads but that's not that big of deal since I'd rather just take it out of the case to clean it or just wipe the whole thing in its entirety with our sanitation wipes.
I'm mainly looking for something that can protect against drops, spills/blood/fluids but not weigh like a brick.
Our documentation program is also compatible with a stylus.
Are the hard screen protectors on most cases OK for stylus use in terms of accuracy and details?
Any input and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

My company Alphyn Industries just developed a scrub that holds your iPad for you on your chest with our LEDGE system. It frees both your hands and the iPad is suspended perpendicular to your chest when needed.
To put the iPad away, the pocket flap is simply zipped up. We have not launched is commercially yet, and we are looking for doctors who want to work with us and help us make it mainstream.
We aree also working on a disposable film pack to keep the screen sanitary in the OR.

I just bought a Scrabble game but it doesn't sit right in my IPad case. It's vertical not horizontal. I'd like to know how to fix or get a different one that sits horizontally.

I Just bought a scrabble game but it doesn't sit well in my IPad cars. It diets vertically so I can't recharge my ipad while I'm playing and it won't sit up in my IPad case, it refers when my iAd is sitting horizontally. D like to either be given instruction on how to turn or I'd like to exchange for a different Sctabble game that will sit the right way, for my IPad.

I have tried clicking all around and I cannot get to the contact manager at all anymore. Now when I click to it I go to My Verizon Online Sign In - Verizon Wireless (not sure if that link works here) and the web site says:

As snug as the case is, once an iPad is in Apple's iPad case, I can't seem to get it out of the case! Is there a simple trick to getting the iPad out of Apple's case?

First open the flap holding it in.
Then, with the front cover open and away from you (iPad is face up and the right edge is toward you) pull the edge of the case that is facing you toward you about 1/4 inch until it drops over the edge of the iPad.

Advice Needed: Cleaning iPad Case

I'm looking for tips on how to best clean Apple's official iPad case. I don't use it very much if at all, but it's REALLY dirty and I'm unsure about how to clean it. I'd like to get it looking halfway decent again.

I use a terry wash cloth dipped in warm water then wrung out. Scrub the case thoroughly, then dry it with a dry terry towel. It gets 95% of the gunk out of the cover. Certainly improves its appearance.

Why is ios 7 control center inaccesable with ipad case?

My iPad case is cloth and in Landscape, which is how I use it, the ios 7 control center is completely inaccessible. I have to actually bend back the cover and stick my finger down in between the iPad and the cover in order to swipe, and it still only works occasionally. Not to mention the damage to the case. Why doesn't Apple provide another option or raise the swipe point a few centimeters? It is very frustrating as I rely on quick access to the brightness control and suddenly my work is negatively effected.

None of the screen itself ifs covered. Just the black border. So there is no obstruction. But to swipe ones finger must have a sort of head start I guess. It is a ridiculous problem. There should be a shortcut or another option

No, it will be too large.

The air is different dimensions from other iPads, so look for cases made specifically for it. I know that Targus has some, so does Zagg and i'm sure other manufacturers do as well.

Marware iPad Case - Does the "hand sleeve" get loose?

I was looking at a video on the Marware iPad case. Its not the ONE I want (I like the Eco-Vue), but it has the same little elastic sleeve for your hand. Looks loose out of the box on this video. I wanted to know if anyone had one of these in their posession that could comment?
I like the little flip stand for typing. Thats really the reason I like this case, I havent seen another case that does it this well. The incase jacket seems a little too elevated for typing, and it appears it would bounce when touched.

I have the Eco vue case and I am thinking about returning it for the reason you mentioned. The iPad slides around in the case and in my opinion could FALL OUT. I have the now hard to find Apple case and I like it. I am looking for a case like that one that offers more protection. The Marware also does add some bulk. I pre-ordered the quirky cloak case but it will be at least a month before they ship but it looks like it may be the one.
