IPad connection port problem

My iPad connection port will not recognize the usb connection to charge or sync. I charged and sync'd the ipad 1 time but then it stopped recognizing the connection.
I have tried different usb connections and cables (via iphone usb cable and also a friend's 10w power adapter) so I know it is not a faulty cable.
I have also reset the iPad but still experiencing the problem.

I would look at the receptacle on the iPad and look for abnormalities like bent contacts. An appointment at the Genius Bar of your local Apple store is probably in order.

    Are you connected to the Internet? Have you checked to be sure by using Safari or another browser or app that needs connectivity to work? Does your email work?

  • C7 USB Connection Port problem

    Hi,
    This may not be a software problem but i experienced it after Anna update.
    I usually don't connect via use. But one time that i had connected my devise using usb, i noticed that touch screen doesn't respond, i didn't care and continued my work. After finishing my work i disconnected the device, and the touch screen wouldn't work. I restarted but except the menu buttons the screen wasn't working. After a while accidently i reconnected the device to computer via usb and manipulating the devices usb entry i saw it started to work again.
    Lasers for second time after the incident the same problem occurred. But thank God it was solved the same way. I was so worried because the warranty card of my device has a problem.
    I will not use usb again, i think the device's port is faulty.
    If any of u had faced the problem or know a solution for it, let me know plz.
    By the way there is no real nokia care center here and i don't want to take my 3 month old device to improper hands.

    Thanks for the fast reply,
    my problem got solved though. The problem was with the 16pin connector to the daq. There wasn't good enough contact with the daq pins so when I connected a multimeter to check the output voltage when I turned those channels high it wasn't outputting high. As soon as I switched out the connector everything was fine.

    - Have you reset your iPod:
    Reset iPod touch:  Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home

  • New Ipad 2 having problems connecting to Wifi - Tried Everything

    Tried to set up my new ipad this morning and connected to Wifi fine. Played on it for 10 mins and then it dropped the Wifi connection. Tried everthing to get it going rebooting, restoring network setting etc etc. After 30mins of trying the wifi section in settings went grey and you could not click on it anymore.
    Did a complete restore through itunes and managed to get the wifi connection working again but the same thing happened again after 10 mins.
    We have looked at all the different channels on the router and selected the highest signal strength which made no difference.
    Very fustrating day, both out blackberrys work on UMA through router,mums and brother iphones both connect to router ok, mac connects ok and my pc connects fine. Please could someone help me before i have a nervous breakdown. Have spent all day trying to get it work and still seem to be a million miles off getting it to work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • USB port problem on Mid 2011 iMac (27")?

    I have a Mid 2011 27" iMac running Lion. The USB ports seem to be resetting so that my external TimeMachinne drive disappears. I get the "disk not properly ejected" errors, but no other indicators of a problem. I tried a different usb port, same result. This doesn't seem to affect my wired keyboard, or my iPod/iPad connections (when in use).

    Please do a SMC Reset. 
    Shut down the computer. 
    Unplug the computer's power cord. 
    Wait fifteen seconds. 
    Attach the computer's power cord. 
    Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.

    I have an iPhone 4S and use the group texting feature ALL THE TIME. I recently updated my iPad to the latest software and made the colossal mistake of continuing my group messaging from my iPad while connected to wifi. Doing this has successfully screwed but every group text thread I am in, to the point where its very hard for those involved in the thread to keep up. When I initially messaged those I was already engaged in text threads with it created a new thread in their phones replacing my name in their phones with my email. At first this was not a big deal but ever since then the people I am messaging have become increasingly frustrated with how my messages come through. If I am messaged in a group text and respond to it, sometimes when I respond it will create an entirely different thread in my recipients phones. So at that point they have to switch threads in order to read what I wrote. The new thread that my phone creates will send the message under my email not my name (related to the contact they have me saved as in their phones). The worst part about it is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why or when my phone will send the message as normal or under my email like it did with my iPad. I haven’t messaged from my iPad since these problems immediately began a month ago but the issues still continue. I have tried everything to get this to stop, I’ve turned off my wifi, I’ve had my friends delete the threads that my messages create in their phones. I’ve had them delete my email in their contact lists and nothing has worked. Can you help me? Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
    Note: My phone message no different whatsoever. All the threads have remained the same. The issue is what it is doing to the people that I am messaging.

    I have this identical problem.  For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad.  Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something.  Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads.  I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time)  Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc.  There still hasn't been a solution.
