Hi iCare,
Thanks for helping ... All that configuration is already done. I am able to surf the web from my computer using my iPhone's hotspot.
When I want to send an email from my computer, I get a message asking me to select the the SMTP server. Then I select my usual ISP server, but the message comes back telling me it does not work.
Is there any other configuration to do ?

Csoud1 is correct. But if you still want to keep your iTunes Match subscribed and did not want to sync with your iOS devices, do the following:
On you iOS devices, just go to Setting > Music > disable iTunes Match

My ipad disconnects from the wifi link

Try #5 below.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

• IPhone Hot Spot outgoing email

Is iPhone Hot Spot outgoing email possible without using a 3rd party Relay service like Unified Email ? It was not with the phone card.

Should not need no relay since the E-mail is not going to go to the phone it is just going to pass through and not be relayed. The computer should see the phone as a wirless access point. I use it with outlook on my laptop with no issues to my Exchange server.

Is there a downside to using my iphone hot spot?

Agreed with Deggie here,
It will massively drained your battery, also bear in mine the temperature, make sure your phone does not get to hot (especially in hotter region, such as Bali)

• Disconnected from iPhone repeatedly

Hi.
The Apple Watch remains connected to my iPhone for most of the day when I am at work at my desk, or walking around.
However, it frequently disconnects itself when I am exercising outdoors. I cycle 30mins to work. When I start, I turn on Workout > Outdoor Cycle. As I cycle to work, I keep my iPhone in my jacket pocket. This morning, for example, I must have had to re-connect my Apple Watch to my iPhone at least 5-6 times. I'd cycle for a bit, check watch: connected. cycle for a bit, check watch: disconnected. I toggle Airplane Mode to reconnect to phone. check watch: disconnected. Repeat.
It's really annoying. While cycle time tracks while disconnected, distance travelled and calories etc does not.
I'm using:
- Apple Watch Sport 42mm Space Grey
- iPhone5s iOS8.2
Anyone know what us causing the Apple Watch to frequently disconnect from iPhone?
Tim..

I have been having a "disconnect" problem since receiving the watch. I have tried all of the instructions in the manual to reconnect as well as calling tech support. Nothing seems to work except pushing "reset" on the watch. This deletes any credit cards that were authorized for Apple Pay and requires that you re-enter the card info and obtain re-authorization from the credit card company. It also deletes any info collected in the Activity App and probably other things as well. It is not a solution that I want to continue to use and the cause of this "disconnect" has not been determined.
Please tell me how to do the "reboot" that you mention for the phone and the watch. I will try that next. Thanks very much.

• IPad, iPhon, hot spot.

I have an iPad WiFi, and use the hot spot from my iPhone to connect to the internet. This works very well. Can the iPad also share the GPS information from the iPhone, when using maps?

Please update this thread with information on the longevity of this fix over the next few days. I have been having this issue since iOS 6 came out with both of my iPhones. Simply restarting the phone fixes the issue, but only temporarily. Every time I try to reconnect (not immediately, but if I wait several hours or the next day) I have to restart the phone again. It always appears to be working. The phone lights up the blue bar telling me that there is a connection, but the ipad never gets an ip from my phone. I have subsequently tried the suggestion here, resetting everything, etc., but no change. After the restart, everything works. The next day, I have to restart again. This happens on both my and my wife's iPhone, both were updated OTA to iOS 6, so it is unlikely they both got a corrupted iOS 6 update. The connection issue is also not only on my iPads, as my MacBook Air also will not connect, until after the restart. If your solution continues to work, then I guess I'll be heading to Apple, but I don't want to do that, as the closest store to me is almost 2 hours away. I upgraded to AT&T 10GB data share so we could use our 2 iPads, the Air, an iPod touch, and my kids' 3 ipad minis while on the road, but since the ios6 update, this is no longer possible for me.
Sorry to hijack your thread, but after hours of googling, you are the only person I've found with the exact same problem.

• TS2756 does it matter if you have att iphone hot spot but verizon ipad for wifi connection

does it matter if you have att iphone hotspot but verizon ipad for wifi connection

If you are wanting to use the Verizon iPad as the hotspot you will need a Verizon plan.
If you are going to connect your Verizon iPad to your iPhone AT&T hotspot via WiFi it makes no difference at all.
