Ipad - Display more than 8 columns in OWL

Hi All,
Currently iPad player will only display the first six columns of the OWL in portrait mode and the first eight columns in landscape mode. Can we display more than 8 column(s) in the OWL either in Potrait or Landscape mode ?

I really doubt this is possible. This is just how the player renders it out.

    Define a work area say
    wa_layout type slis_layout_alv.
    then fill this work area as
    wa_layout-zebra = X
    wa_layout-colwidth_optimize = X.
    wa_layout-max_linesize = 300.
    Then in FM 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
    EXPORTING
    is_layout = wa_layout
    etc.
    you provided this for the field which is displayed in alv grid will have more than 128 characters.

    Won't you have more than 10 records in your data file ? If you are going to have only 10 items then you may be able to use position() function to limit it to 3 each..

    just for the record. Here's the code to create a table with 10000 columns, in this example all of type vendor. It could be modified a little to create any dynamic table. Without any visible limits and can be displayed in SALV.

    This will give you two columns of photos.
    To reduce the number of photos to select from one can select only Unplaced Photos to be displayed in the tray.

    You could always do the concatenation on the client. ie: "select action1, action2 from tableX" and then create a boilerplate object with text that references both of these columns. (eg: "&<action1> &<action2>"). This should give you the concatenation you're after.
    Another alternative is to return a "long" column instead. The 4000 is probably down to the varchar datatype restriction.

    Hi Martin,
    have a look at the page with the SQL query. There is a field labeled "Data Point Limit" or "Maximum Rows"
    which is defaulted to 15. Just increase this number ...

    Hai tripathy,
    when the output of a report contains columns extending more than 255 characters in length.  In such cases, this set of ALV functions can help choose selected columns and arrange the different columns from a report output and also save different variants for report display. This is a very efficient tool for dynamically sorting and arranging the columns from a report output. The report output can contain upto 90 columns in the display with the wide array of display options.
    The commonly used ALV functions used for this purpose are;
    1.REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_DEFAULT_GET
    2.REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_F4
    3.REUSE_ALV_VARIANT_EXISTENCE
    4.REUSE_ALV_EVENTS_GET

    The WebI Report cannot display more than 16 significant digit numbers from an Oracle data type field.
    This occurs for both an ODBC and native driver connection to Oracle.
    The data is defined by Number Data Type in Oracle, and view correctly in Universe, but display incorrectly in WebI report which created by InfoView.
    I know BOE XIR2 has this behavior, but it seems that XI3.0 and XI3.1 also have this problem.
    If this behavior in XI3.0 and XI3.1 perform by design? or it's a bug? and Why?

    Precision limitation of a Web Intelligence filter constant :
    In an Oracle database, a Number field type can store up to 38 digits. When creating a Web Intelligence report in the Java Panel, a condition is specified for this field (that is represented in the universe as a number), and a constant number is entered for its value, only up to 15 digits of precision are retained.
    For example, if 1234567890123456789 is entered, the value becomes 1234567890123460000.
    Or, if you have a column in database which has a number like 123.123456789012345678 it will display only 123.123456789012.
    Cause
    The reason for this limitation is that Java Panel represents a number internally as a Double field type with only 15 digits precision. This is by design.
    Resolution
    The only workaround is to change the field type to a Character field; however, doing so means losing the ability to perform calculations and/or sorting on the field.
    This issue has been raised as an Enhancement Request and given Track ID # ADAPT00908702.

    Yeah Omni Portlet Can display more than 5 Fields. Edit OmniPortlet's Provider.xml and add the following information. For adding the following information, search for "DataFieldDefinition" in provider.xml. Add the following statements as last one in DataFieldDefinitions. This statment will add the 6th field to OmniPortlet. if you want one more then add the same again, but do change the Field name to Field7.

    iCal has always had a nice feature that allowed me to display little, what I call, mini-month calendars while in the day-view.  This allowed me to quickly jump to a day two or three (or more) months ahead (or behind) to check appointments on that day or set an appointment, without switching out of the day-view.
    The mini-month was a small clickable calendar that looked something like this:

    15 16 17 18 19 20 21
    22 23 24 25 26 27 28
    There was also a forward and backward arrow box [ < ][ > ] that allowed me to quickly scroll to the mini-month to find the day I wanted to click into.  And, if I wanted to give it more room by adjusting the frame, I could display up to three months at a time within my day view.
    Since upgrading iCal to 5.0 with the Lion upgrade, I can no longer display more than the current mini-month calendar on the day view.
    This is REALLY inconvenient.  Now, there is no way (that I know of) for me to stay in the day view and be able to jump ahead to a specific day two or three months out, or even to a day in the NEXT month without either going to the year view (a big waste of time) or click on the last day of the current month and then clicking the ">" day arrow to get to the next day which then shows that month's mini-calendar.
    How do I display more than the current month's mini-month calendar in the day view on Lion?

    Unfortunately you can't do what you want. Many people have complained to Apple about this. I suggest you provide Apple feedback directly at http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html. They will not provide a direct response but hopefully if enough people provide feedback Apple will fix this.

    The default history length of a chart is 1024. To make it longer is a right click option.
