Ipad does not discover other devices in bluetooth

my iphone 4s is giving name an error message that says " this single user account ID does not match your computer" it isnt allowing me to connect via wifi. but, when i use my wifi in other locations it does work even if it is a new wifi location. also my iphone is not discovering any other devices in bluetooth. my ipad isnt discovering anything in bluetooth either. what do i need to do ??? please help

Does a little box come up seeing the iPad as a camera? That doesn't impact iTunes as much as it confirms that your computer sees the device. If your computer doesn't see it then iTunes doesn't know it's there.
If you're plugged into a hub or extender, try plugging it directly into the box or main part of your computer.
If you're using an extension, stop and just use the included sync cable.
Try using a different USB port.
After you installed iTunes, did you restart your computer?
Usually what's needed is the 'apple device driver' which installs automatically, you just need to sometimes trigger the install, using different ports helps with that.
If the simple trouble shooting doesn't help then you can search on the Apple Device Driver and there's more detailed trouble shooting on the site.

I also have problems with Facebook on my iPad 2. I don't do a lot with Facebook and generally only post on my feed page. Sometimes hitting return on the keyboard enters the comment, sometimes not. Sometimes the comment will show on my iPad but if I revisit that page I find that the comment has disappeared. So I'd say that Facebook and my iPad are not totally compatible with each other.
I looked into Friendly and was about to purchase this free ap. But before I did I went to the Friendly web page for more info. There I found a page with users comments. One after another users complained about bugs with Friendly. The developers claimed a fix was coming but the user comments complained about the lack of response and support. One of the fixes suggested by the developers was to log out of Friendly then log back in. One user complained that doing this three times in ten minutes was not very helpful. Because of this I decided to avoid Friendly.
I did find a Facebook developed ap but it was for the iPhone. I presume that iPhone aps will work on the iPad but I'll wait until Facebook releases an iPad compatible ap. If there is an ap developed by Facebook for the iPad that I missed please let me know.

My iPad does not appear under "devices" in iTunes

When I connect my iPad 2 to my PC (Windows 7), it does not appear under "Devices". I have tried all the steps described in "Trouble-shooting". It does, however, recognize and show my iPod nano, when I connect that through the same USB. I have already deleted and reloaded iTunes 10.4 three times. Incidentally, I had no problem when I was using previous version of iTunes before I updated it 5 days back.

Finally what worked? I removed all the Apple software files from my PC. Rebooted my PC. Downloaded iTunes afresh, saved and run it. Ah..ah.. my iPad was under the devices this time and it synchronised well. I am happy. Thanks

When I connect iPad to laptop it does not appear in the iTunes devices list. I have tried all the recommended Apple support actions reinstalling iTunes etc but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your tip. It didn't work in quite the way you outlined but it did help me to get my IPad recognised by ITunes. When I did what you suggested ITunes came back with something like ' can't connect to your IPad because the driver is missing, delete and reinstall ITunes to resolve this problem' . When I did that the IPad appeared in the Devices list.
I assume from this that the device driver was defective. Many thanks.

I have a new iPad. I am trying to connect it to my iTunes and set up with my Apple account.
I connect to my computer. The PC recognizes it as I am asked if I want to copy over the photos taken on the iPad.
I launch iTunes and it does not show up in the Devices list.

I have tried everything and still iTunes will not recognize the iPad. From the other complaints it seems this is a big problem for many of us.
My problems started when the iTunes v10 was introduced. I still use 9.2.1. I am waiting because I have an AppleTV1 and wanted to see how it effects others with the first version. I really like my older AppleTV and have many items loaded.

Brand New iPhone 5c; iOS 7.1; Does not recognize any devices over Bluetooth

I want to pair my Plantronics bluetooth (Pro HD) headset, to my iPhone 5c (running iOS 7.1, updated). Unfortunately the device is not being discovered, in fact all bluetooth devices are not detected in the search.
I didn't have any problem with my iPhone 4. I tested another Plantronics headset, and it didn't scan properly either (put it pairs with other phones). The iPhone 5c is in a search loop (for lack of a better word).
Are there any tricks? I already turned Bluetooth on then turned it on again. I turned the phone off and on again. Neither helped any bit.

Mid 2010 Macbook Pro does not see other devices in airdrop

I am able to turn on airdrop. There are no restrictions preventing me seeing other devices or them seeing me. I am unable to connect with my iPhone 5 or IPad air 2 in airdrop. Any suggestions to resolve this issue?

Windows Media Player does not recognize my device in bluetooth mode.

Windows Media Player recognizes my device when connected with a USB cable but not when connected via bluetooth in Windows 7. The WMDC recognizes my device in bluetooth mode without any problem. I would like to synchronize my device with Windows Media Player while in bluetooth mode. How can I get Windows Media to recognize my device in bluetooth mode.

I bought the hdmi adapter for my new ipad (ipad3), it was working fine for about a month. Then suddenly one fine day, a message pop out on my new ipad saying that ipad does not support the device. What is going on?

The hdmi adapter no longer works, and I tried it on different tv, different hdmi cables, apple's adapter still don't work. My iOS is 5.1 by the way. HDMI cables work fine for other devices, connect it to my computer, works fine, connect it to dvd player works fine. So what is going APPLE? I splashed out SGD59 for this handy adapter, and it no longer works after a month!!!
