IPad doesn't load, constantly restarts, and doesn't restore after iOS 8.1 update attempt.
Hello all.
I have an iPad Air 16gb with 4g Verizon Card. My iPad was working perfect until I attempted to update to iOS 8.1. It went through the normal update routine but when it restarted that's where all my problems began. It would go almost to where the iOS would kick on but I got the Apple blue screen of death for about 2 seconds and then it would restart. It's been going through these motions ever since never going into iOS. After doing some research, I finally found out how to emergency restore the iPad by turning it off and turning it back on holding the home button until the itunes/lightning plug symbols come on the screen. Plugged it into my computer, loaded itunes, and attempted to restore. I downloaded a fresh iOS 8.1 update and the iPad would turn off and turn back on with the update bar below the apple symbol. After the bar appeared, the bar remained unchanged so nothing even loaded. Then a few minutes later, I received "itunes could not connect to this iphone. an unknown error occured (0xE8000084)." and then got the "iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (4013)." Not really sure why it's saying iPhone either. I tried this three times getting the same result. I just tried restarting the computer and doing it again and yet I get the same result. Does anyone have any clue why this is happening and how to fix this? This is very frustrating because I'm in the military stationed in Italy but I'm about 3 hours away from the nearest Apple store and, not to imply anything, but they may not even speak English and having to take the train risking nothing getting solved. Any other ideas or help would be appreciated.
Hi rsa12985,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know that errors with iTunes errors and issues with your iPad not turning on can both be very frustrating and concerning. In this situation, with the unknown error 4013, I would suggest following the steps located in the attached article.
iOS: Restore errors 4005, 4013, and 4014 - Apple Support

Safari doesn't work after iOS 8.3 update
After the iOS 8.3 update, Safari is completely useless. I am unable to open any URLs or search. Nothing happens when I type and return in the search bar. Sometimes even the go button doesn't highlight/activate.
I tried removing cache and disabling iCloud, but nothing worked.
Does anyone have a solution?Replying to my own message. I actually looked at the device logs again there is a bunch of mobile safari issues. Most of which apple would have to symbolicate against their source to figure out the actual bug.
Looks like some deadlock issues, which explains what I am seeing.

Music doesn't launch after iOS 8.3 update
On iPod Touch 5th, I can't launch the Music App since I've updated the iPod. My musics do appear then 2 seconds later, the music app is closed.
How can I solve that ?
Thank you for your help !Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -
2 ipads and neither will charge after ios 8.02 update
We have an iPad 2 and an iPad 3 and updated them both from whatever version of 7 we were running to 8.02 last night. Now neither will charge. I've done hard restarts on both of them. I've tried both Apple chargers and different outlets. I've tried connecting it to the PC. Nothing. The 3 is nearly dead now and the 2 is dwindling rapidly. Both were charging just fine yesterday before we updated them. Any ideas?
For device connectivity issues see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, and TS4062: iTunes 10.5 and later: Troubleshooting iTunes Wi-Fi syncing.

Touch ID doesn't work after iOS 7.1 Update
After installing iOS 7.1 Touch ID stopped working. When I put my finger on the sensor nothing happens.
I already tried rebooting and switching Touch ID on and off. None of that seemed to work. Is there anyone else experiencing similar problems?
Update: Right now I'm trying to set up a new fingerbrint but it doesnt even start scanning when I put my finger on. It just doesnt do anything. I have a feeling that the sensor might be broken...Same problem, after upgrading to 7.1 touch ID stopped working and will not let me enter new fingers, acts like I am not touching the sensor.
Additional info:
The company I work for requires passwords to be on to access mail, when I am at work I will try deleting that mail account and turning off password requirements. It is an Microsoft Exchange mail server.
Additional info2:
In Xcode there are no messages in the console for the iPhone that are related. Unrelated messages do pop up confirming the log is active.
Is there a setting I can make to turn on more logging?

Wake up doesn't work After IOS 7 with my Philips clock radio AJ3270D!
The other function is OK(listen music like an Ipod or charge)
Can you help me?Apple did update their help section on the app. I found this trying to figure out why my Find Friends wasn't working after the update to iOS 7.
"Find My Friends is turned on in Background App Refresh (in Settings > General in iOS 7). When Background App Refresh is turned off, Find My Friends can’t use Location Services in the background. If Background App Refresh is turned on, but you quit Find My Friends via the multitasking interface, location updates won’t be sent to your friends until you open the app again."
Hopefully Apple will update this as it was not this way prior to iOS 7. Killing the app didn't prevent your location from updating in iOS 6 as I constantly killed the apps running in the background and never had this problem till the update. Hope this helps! Just make sure to not kill the app as of now and to tell everyone you follow not to kill their app and locations will continue to refresh. Otherwise it won't update locations till the app is opened again. -
IPad 2 switched off and not charging after iOS 7.1 update

Hello, 92.romil.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would make sure you are using an Apple branded cable with your iPad. If you are, the troubleshooting steps in the article below may help. The steps listed below for the iPhone and iPod still apply to your iPad.
Resolving issues
If your battery doesn't charge, or if your device shows a low-battery image, black screen, or "accessory not supported" alert, follow these steps.
Inspect the connector at the bottom of the phone:
Make sure that there are no bent pins in the connector.
Make sure that the connector is free from debris.
If there are bent pins or debris, please contact Apple Support.
Otherwise, continue troubleshooting.
Make sure that the outlet you're using works.
Make sure that the Apple USB cable and Apple USB power adapter work.
Plug the device in to power and let it charge for up to 30 minutes. If you don't have an Apple USB power adapter, try connecting to a computer's high-power USB 2.0 port (not a keyboard). The computer must be on.
If the device still exhibits an issue, try turning your device off and then on again while connected to power.
If the issue is persists, please contact Apple Support.

Touch id doesn't work after ios 7.1.1 update..
Why????After IOS update, you first have to use passcode.
Passcode is needed when
After restarting your iPhone 5s
When more than 48 hours have elapsed from the last time you unlocked your iPhone 5s
To enter the Touch ID & Passcode setting -

Throws error saying
"Unable to Verify Update"
iOS 6.1.2 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet

Can anybody please respondTry this and see if it resolves the issue.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
Then try again. -

My iPhone 4S doesn't work again after iOS 6 recent update
Hi.
There was another upadate of the iOS and here I am again. That's the third not the second time actually and it always happend after iOS update. Today I decided to upgrade my iOS 6.1 to 6.1.1. and my iPhone got stuck. Recently, after some 10 hours of trying to follow all the procedures from the Apple web site - I got it fixed. But this time - it's been already more than 30 hrs. I have tried everything so I am angry, tired and frustrated. Any advices? What exactly have you tried?
What happens when you try those things?
What is the exact wording of any error messages received? -
Iphone 5 issues after IOS 8.2 update: all the iphones in the house receive the same phone calls ONLY while we are at home. Any ideas on how to fix this?
That is a new "feature" described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off -
After a recent iTunes update attempt iTunes no longer functions and the airport extreme base station is not accessable on our computer. We still have wifi but cannot access the base station software.
Thanks for the reply. I appreciate the response. I tried that approach this evening and it didn't work for me. (Technically it worked for me, when I was hardwired into my base station, but would not work for me wirelessly, which is my main issue.)
Again, using the approach you recommended works only if I have my ethernet cable attached to the LAN port so my computer is communicating directly to the base station through the hard wire. I am able to scan for my base station and make setting adjustments normally this way too.
As soon as I disconnect from the LAN port and try to go wireless is where I run into problems. The Base Station's wireless network I created is available to choose in the top right corner of the monitor with all of the other available wireless devices/networks -- but the network I created does not have access to the internet. I am also unable to configure my Base Station wirelessly. When my Airport Utility tries to scan for the Base Station and Network, it cannot find any Apple Wireless Device. It's like the Wireless Network in my base station is not sending out a signal.
Is there a way to resolve this issue? -
Problems after iOS 6.0 update with iMessage and FaceTime
After iOS 6.0 update i had problems to used iMessage and FaceTime
Messages will almost send but stop right before completion. FaceTime will go through only after multiple attempts. After that iMessage will work for a little while. Have talked with folks at apple support but they did not have a solution. Have tried both closing out the programs as well as turning the iPod off and back on. Neither has solved the problem. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks for your help.
