My ipad doesn't recognize my email account.  When I delete the account and reenter it, it still doesn't work.  What should I do?

Close All Open Apps...  Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

My iPad doesn't recognize my printer.  It did until I upgraded the printer (HP 5510) to recognize Windows8 on my computer.  Any suggestions?

    Good Morning sylvia261,
The resource below explains all of the steps to take when you change your Apple ID.  You may need to restart your iPad; sign out of iCloud and iTunes in the Settings app and then sign in with your revised Apple ID.
Change your Apple ID - Apple Support
    http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202667
    Change your Apple ID
Learn how to change the email address that you use as your Apple ID.
In most cases, your Apple ID is also the primary email address of your Apple ID account. You can change your Apple ID to any other email address you control, as long as it's not already in use as an Apple ID. If your email address ends with @icloud.com, @me.com, or @mac.com, it's already an Apple ID.
Use these steps to reset your Apple ID:
Sign out of iCloud, the iTunes Store, App Store, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Find My iPhone, and iMessage on each device that uses your current Apple ID for these services.
    Go to My Apple ID.
Select Manage your Apple ID and sign in. Forgot your password?
Select Edit next to Apple ID and Primary Email Address.
Enter the email address that you want to use as your Apple ID, then select Save Changes. Apple will send a verification email to that address.
Open the email from Apple, then click Verify Now. Didn't receive the email?
When the My Apple ID page opens, sign in with your new Apple ID email address and password. When you see a message that verification is complete, you can start using your updated Apple ID.
Update the features and services that you use with Apple ID, so that each one is using your updated Apple ID.
If you need to change the Apple ID that's signed in to your iOS device, use these steps to sign out, then back in with a different Apple ID.

MS exchange account on my iPhone and iPad doesn't capture sent mail when sent from iPhone or iPad! Everyting else seems to work fine. Can someone pleasse help?

iPhone and iPad use a different way of accessing the server.
I don't know the exact details, but we are using Zarafa instead of Exchange and have the same problem:
iPhone and the likes can connect to Zarafas z-push interface, which is some identical interface to the native Exchange interface, while the desktop e-mail application tries to interface with the web front end (via http) of the server.
These are completely different setups and it depends on the actual installation of the server to get this going.
So, you will most likely need different access parameters for the desktop - and the web mail feature has to be enabled on the Exchange server.
In my opinion using the web mail interface is just silly. On the other hand, the native protocol has less features comparedto the web front end, so you are somehow stuck with sins of the past.
    Good luck!

  • I'm receiving sound notifications on my iPad when I get junk mail. How do I stop this?

I'm receiving sound notifications on my iPad when I get junk mail. How do I stop this?

settings > notification center- from there you can change how it notifies you of a new email
also the mute switch- Flip the switch, no sounds from the iPad.

  • Mail doesn't keep junk mail filtering and rules

I noticed that all over sudden whenever I close mail the rules and junk mail setting in mails prefs are not kept anymore so that
I have to enable each rule and junk mail filtering whenever I open mail again.
    Used to work fine.
    Any idea / remedy ?

Open Disk Utility and Repair disk permissions on the First Aid tab.
Then, Restart and boot into Recovery Mode by holding down cmd-r on restart until you see a gray screen. When the Mac boots, you will be presented with some options. Choose Disk Utility and select your Hard drive volume (Macintosh HD is the default name). Then, on the First Aid tab, click Repair Disk (not permissions).
If that doesn't help, you could try installing the 10.8.2 combo updater from the Apple Downloads site:

  • IPad doesn't recognize MacBook on network

Good morning. I use my iPad through Airport as a Verizon Wireless hotspot to use my MacBook Pro to work online.  This morning, howver, the iPad doesn't show up in the network list (although other, unassociated networks do) even when it's plugged directly into the MacBook with the USB cord. I have been able to connect with Bluetooth, but I really prefer using the Airport because the iPad drains the battery so rapidly unless it's plugged into an a/c outlet. (Story for another day.)
I've rebooted everything several times, but no joy.
I have a support request into Verizon as well, but I get into a panic when I can't work, and the iPad's battery is draining rapidly.
    Suggestions?

The Verizon Wireless rep replied quickly and connected me on a phone conference with their Apple staff. I was embarrassed that I hadn't figured this out for myself, not having spent enough time exploring the iPad and not being brave enough to push a "start from scratch" button. It required only going to "reset" under "General" and resetting network settings. Presto.

  • IPad doesn't recognize PayPal

I bought apps from the Apps Store on my iPad2 for 2 or 3 days and then it suddenly began refusing to download even free apps.  The error message states that my iPad2 doesn't recognize PayPal.  I tried setting up a credit card as my iTunes payment option (PayPal wasn't listed as an option) and then I canceled my iTunes subscription with PayPal- still nothing.  Now I'm stuck.  Any ideas?  I'd really prefer the PayPal option if possible.  Thanks.

I'm afraid that you'll probably have to use either a credit card or one of Apple's approved payment methods. Please click here for more information. Hope this helps

  • Client doesn't activate junk mail handling

    Hi All
This started in the GWIA forum, but there we found out that this was not the GWIA not doing things correctly.
I have a spam filter set up in front of the GWIA (ScrollOut F1).
That together with GWIA tags mails as spam, but when it arrives in the client the properties shows
    Junk Mail Handling Evaluation Results
Message is eligible for Junk Mail handling
x-spam-flag was set for this message
So it seems that the GWIA does it correctly, and marks the mail.
    Then below I see this:
Junk Mail settings when this message was delivered
Junk Mail handling disabled by User
    Junk List is not enabled
Junk Mail using personal address books is not enabled
Junk iCal Mail using personal address books is not enabled
    Block List is not enabled
If I look in the Administration Console Client Options I see this:
    Enable Junk Mail Handling (X)
Enable Junk Mail using Junk Mail Lists ( )
Enable Junk Mail using Personal Address Book ( )
Enable Junk Calendaring using Personal Address Book ( )
    Auto-Delete after: (31) days (X)
Enable Blocked Mail using Block Mail Lists ( )
The client is version 14.0.1 13-11-2014. PO GroupWise Agent Build Version 14.0.1 -118418, GroupWise Agent Build Date 11-12-14, GroupWise Resource Build Date 04-07-14.
I've also tried locking the settings on domain and on user in client settings, but that didn't help.

    Hi,
Are you in a position to open a Service Request with Novell Technical Support?
I have picked up that this "bug" has been reported previously to Novell, but I can't see the details of it. I'm going to ask around in the backrooms to see if I can get this tested for you. I'll let you know if I get any information back from the kind folk that I'm asking.
In the interim, test with "Enable Junk Mail using Junk Mail Lists" and see if it makes any difference. I know that in the GWIA thread I asked you to turn this off, but I was just testing something.
Keep us up to date with your testing progress.
    Cheers,

  • My iPad doesn't recognize my laptop

My laptop recognizes my iPad, but My iPad wont charge when connected to my laptop, and I cant sync my iTunes on my laptop with my iTunes on my iPad. I turn my iPad off and restarted it like one of the other forums said about charging it, but it didnt work. How can I fix this?

There have been some reports that iTunes may not be compatible with Windows 8. If so, I assume that Apple is working on a fix. That said, look at this link. http://www.technipages.com/itunes-fix-iphone-or-ipod-not-detected-in-windows-8.h tml

  • IPad doesn't recognize wifi connection

I am connected to my home wifi but ipad2 says not connected to the internet. If I switch to cellular data I can connect. I tried resetting my network settings but no change.

You may not really be connected to your WiFi network.
Your router may not have given your iPad a valid IP address. Go to Settings > Wifi > your network name and touch the "i" to the right to see the network details. If the IP address starts with 169 or is blank then your router didn't provide an IP address and you won't be able to access the Internet.
Sometimes the fix can be as simple as restarting your router (remove power for 30 seconds and restart). Next, reset network settings on your iPad (Settings > General > Reset > Reset network settings) and then attempt to connect. In other cases it might be necessary to update the router's firmware with the latest from the manufacturer's support web pages.
If you need more help please give more details on your network, i.e., your router make, model and version, the wifi security being used (WEP, WPA, WPA2), etc.

  • IPad doesn't recognize iTune password

The issue occur again when I tried to update my iPad with iOS 8. I thought upgrading bu connection to laptop would solve this but after completed it seems to get worst now cause I couldn't change my password or restore my device via iTune anymore. I hope this is just a temparary hick-up of apple and there is a solutions out there. Please guide me through this. Thank you!

I'm not that I understand what you are saying. What does the iTunes password mean or have to do with this problem anyway? If you are saying that the iPad will not accept your Apple ID password and you cannot activate it because of that issue, try resetting the password.

So my iPad is not resetting but is nearly dead. USB ports won't be recognized and even 10 seconds of pushing start etc won't help. I'm in a really need of help. Who can help my Ipad to life again. Thanks very much in advance. Henk

What do you mean - not resetting? It will not turn on? Is the battery low and need a charge?
USB ports won't be recognized and even 10 seconds of pushing start etc won't help.
iTunes is not recognizing the iPad when you plug it in to your computer? You tried holding the sleep and the home buttons down at the same time for about 10-15 seconds - or maybe even a little longer - until the Apple logo appeared?
