How can I download adobe flash player on my iPad

You can't. The Apple CEO (Steve Jobs) has stated that Apple does not allow Flash. Here is an excerpt from his speech in April of last year (the italics are, of course, mine):
"Besides the fact that Flash is closed and proprietary, has major technical drawbacks, and doesn’t support touch based devices, +there is an even more important reason we do not allow Flash on iPhones, iPods and iPads.+"

I would be happier if Apple did allow Flash on the iPad. Fortunately, I can go to my Mac when I need content supplied by Flash. If the Mac also didn't support it, I'd have to go out and buy a Windoze machine to fill in the gap.

My excursion through the search engine has produced the idea of adding #page = requesting page to the URL but I have not had time to try it perhaps without the = sign.

YES, exactly.... I do NEED a small light weight device (smaller and cheaper than a Mac laptop) to carry around with me every day to download software to that I can download to use on my home computer.
The Palm TX was such a device that served such purpose... Somewhat over priced for for its small storage capacity and no longer available but a good product idea.
Except for the once a month NEED to download large applications (mostly version updates), I don't really have a NEED for cable broadband @ $49.99 per month ($599.88 per year) or DSL @ $39.99 per month (479.88) per year.
My email, shopping, banking and such only NEEDS dial-up @ $99.00 a year, which is what I have.
The fact people feed their WANTS instead of choosing only to feed their NEEDS is why many people are in debt often over their heads.
I haven't had any built up debt for decades. I try very hard to only take care of my NEEDS and not squander money on things I only WANT but don't really NEED.
I LOVE the Mac OS, it's one of the best OSs out there (priced good too)..... Next to Xerox's "Small Talk" (in-house R&D only) and Unix. But Apple's pricing of computers may drive me to the Dark Side or the Gray Side.. Linux .
And I'm also hoping that USB 3 will be soon on Macs so I don't have to pay the extra freight for Firewire as USB 3 will serve my NEED for faster than USB 2 speeds to the external devices I NEED to use.

It is not compatible with the iPad, only with the iPhone - it needs full phone capability which the iPad hasn't got. Their support site states (http://www.whatsapp.com/faq/) :
We support all iPhone devices no matter how old or new, as long they are running iPhone OS 3.1 and up. Sorry, but there is no iPod or iPad support at the moment.

No you will not have to set up the iPad all over again. Resetting the iPad is like rebooting your computer. You will lose no apps, data, settings .... Nothing at all. I like to use the expression that it's like "clearing out the cobwebs" on the iPad's memory.
The reason I am suggesting this is that there are some other sort of bizarre issues that occur in the mail app and the reset seems to clear up those issues. So I think it is worth a try.
On the other hand, if you have restored the iPad to factory settings, I don't know that it will help. If nothing else works, try going to your web mail using a browser and see if you can't deal with this in there.

If by downloads you mean applications that run on the iPad, then the answer is no because the iPad and and MacBook have two very different operating system and an application file that will run on one will not run on the other (although some software developers have separate and similar versions for each).
If you don't mean applications then reply with some more detail about what type of download you are asking about.

They were initially setup with the smae Apple ID but when you delete the iCloud account from the phone you disassociate iCloud items on your phone.
If you want to rid the device of the Apple ID completely you will need to sign out in seceral places:
Settings > iCloud > Delete Account
Settings > Messages > Turn off iMessage
Setings > FaceTime > Turn off FaceTime
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Apple ID > Sign out
Settings > Game Center > Apple ID > Sign out
Note: You can keep the iTunes & App Stores sign in to share purchases without any effect on anything else
You should consider getting your own Apple ID.

IPad downloading enormous amount of data

We set my folks up with an iPad2 a few months ago, and it has been using extraordinary amounts of data. They live in the country and broadband and dsl are not available, so we have them set up on a cellular hotspot for internet access, which the iPad views as wi-fi. All was fine with a desktop and a netbook. Once we added an iPad to the mix, their data use has skyrocketed. Recent monitoring is showing approximately 1G per day. They are retired and are only doing facebook, email and an occasional view of a website for shopping. Have turned off auto-play of videos on facebook and shut down everything I can think of that might be using data. Yesterday's activity still showed just over 1G of data downloaded and about 100M uploaded.
One note - my mother has Parkinson's, and is the primary user of the iPad. Due to the tremors from PD, she tends to tap the screen repeatedly while using. Is it possible that each tap is causing a refresh and downloading everything all over again? Would that result in the enormous download figures?
I've also seen threads where there were issues with iPhones on AT&T using large amounts of data. Any chance there is a similar problem with an iPad on cellular hotspot? Provider is US Cellular, not AT&T, but makes me curious.

Poke around in the settings. Background app refresh can chew data - that's where the iPad reaches out and constantly updates the weather and other apps so that you have fresh data at any point in time....which you don't really need. If you only check the weather once a day you don't need it refreshed every 15 minutes.
Not a way to find it but maybe a way to control it, put the iPad in airline mode unless you're actively using it. That turns off the antennas and keeps it from accessing data.

I am having problems updating ios3 to ios4 on my ipad. download happens then i get an error message saying that network connection timed out and to check settings. any advice. also get error message 3259. is this related to my problem?

i cannot upgrade to ios4 on my ipad. upgrade seems to download then when "processing file" i get a message telling me that the network timed out. today error 3259 llagged up. i am assuming this is related to the problem i have. can anyone help. does network mean itunes?

switch off all the firewalls and try again
in your network settings add apple itunes in the exception list

IPad downloads and delete

I am just about ready to biff this IPad ! I bought a tv series and it keeps telling me I didn't have enough storage .... Finally figured out how to delete a previous series I bought and it looks as tho it goes to iCloud ? This is great ! However ... I am still getting the pop up telling me I don't have enough storage ... So I broke down and bought the highest storage I could ... And still I get the pop up ! I shut the iPad down and plugged it in for a bit ... That did'nt help .... When I went back I realized the whole series is trying to download rather then one episode.... There is no edit button ... I don't know how to stop this from happening ....I tried everything I could think of ... If this resonates with anyone out there I'd be so appreciative of your input ... Thanks in advance

iCloud space is for backup only.
You need more local storage; free up space on iPad:
Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Delete what is not needed to free up space on iPad.

I have a User that was accidently deleted from their Groupwise Post Office.
The User was recovered from a recent backup backup and retained the same FID.
Now the only thing that appears on the ipad are his Grouwise folders.
No mail ever appears.
I deleted the DataSync account
I deleted the email account on the iPad.
Recreated both of them and the folders downloaded but still no email.
Ran GWCheck on the users Post Office and his individual user account
Not sure what to do next. Can anyone give me some direction?
