IPad email not refreshing

My new iPad has started to not refresh my email.
My email was refreshing with no problems for the first few days. Now when I refresh it shows it is downloading 1 of 25 messages but then it stops and says it is updated, with no new e-mails showing. I have tried again and again with no success.
Any help would be great!

- Have you tried the standard of resetting your iPad:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Next would be to delete the account and them recreate it on the ipad.

IMAP email not refreshing on iPhone4s

I use IMAP email for a secondary email account (Groupwise) both on my MacBook Pro and my iPhone4S. Recently the iPhone has done something odd:
It stopped displaying new mail on attempt to refresh. The only way I was able to solve the problem was by viewing "1000 most recent messages" via mail settings. I never had to do this in the past and if I revert to a lower number, say 50 most recent messagess, the mail client just shows me some arbitrary 50 messages from a few months back. I could search the server for recent mail manually as well.
I use the same IMAP settings on both the computer and the phone, with no problems on the computer.
Any ideas of what this could be?

Yes - it does not.
I installed emoze just a two days ago on my E72 and since then I have been drowned in frustration. Not with emoze itself, but with the mess it has left me in with my homescreen and other apps.
The first hint at something going on was when my phone did not display the usual text notification on the homescreen when someone had texted me. I had to 'stumble' across it in my inbox.
Then, my gmail that was still running by itself, couldn't open either from the homescreen.
Uninstall emoze. Message notifications are back. Gmail is still messed up.
Uninstall gmail. Can't reinstall gmail.
Had to manually reinstall gmail as per IMAP settings provided here:

Yeah, skip emoze. E72 does not like it.

IPad email not sending

Hello all,
I just composed an email on my iPad, tapped [Send], and it disappeared. Permanently, by the looks of things. The Drafts, Outbox, Sent Messages and Sent folders are all empty. There is no record of my composed outgoing message.
Here's my only clue: When I check all the places said email should be residing, all the folders are hung up in "Connecting" status.
Outgoing mail server settings: fine.
Internet connection: fine.
I can receive mail.
I asked the guy next to me to check his work mail (coxmail) from his Mac Book Air...fine.
Do I need help? or just a beer? what am I missing?

Were you sending via a MobileMe SMTP Server? You may find the following chat session with MobileMe amusing and it may explain the problem either from the IPAD Mail program or MobileMe or other "online servers" such as Google, Hotmail etc.

BT Yahoo email not refreshing properly

On my Firefox (v 22.0) when BT Yahoo mail automatically refreshes, it shows the number of new emails next to inbox but the section showing the subjects doesn't refresh.
The only way seems to be to click on another folder and click back on inbox again.
Anyone else having this problem?

I'm not too sure what is meant by "refreshing", but I'd like to know why my birthday reminders keep showing in my e mails, days after the event has passed. I keep editting to remove the reminder, and even deleting it, but ithey still reappear.
I just wish they had not changed to the new e mail format. The old one was much more efficient. I can't even send a complaint e mail to ask BT how to stop the event reminders.

IPad email not synching fully

My ipad synchs some of my gmail but not all of it. It was working fine but recently stopped for a subset of emails I have been receiving, such that if I read the email from a browser on a different machine, the email will not be marked as 'read' on my iPad. Any ideas?

Its possible that you need to recheck the Gmail settings on your other device to ensure its set correctly - to mark emails as read on all devices - updates can change these settings without your knowledge sadly

Why is my iPad 2's email not updating?

The other day I was on my iPad checking my email and nothing came in, even after I manually refreshed it multiple times,I took out my iPhone and its email was updating and had multi emails that should have come in on the iPad a long time ago, then I also checked my iPod touch, emails were updated and the same emails on the iPhone were also updated on the iPod touch.
I did not know why the iPad was not downloading/updating so I tried closing email, ending it in multitasking and re-launching it but still it did not update.
I tried disconnecting wi-fi and re-connecting but still noting happened.
then I tried turned off the iPad and then turned it back on and finally the emails came in.
On another day on a different wi-fi network the same thing happened, but rebooting did fix it.
This happened a total of 4 times on different wi-fi networks.
Why is it doing this?
I am worried something is wrong with the iPad and I need to find out so I can bring the iPad to Apple for repair/exchange.

In my email account only one device can be signed in at a time. If I run Mail and it is still Clive I cannot use safari to check my mail through webmail. The cure is to stop Mail from running when I need to access the account from another app or device. To stop Mail I double click the home button to bring up the line of recently used apps. The tap Mail and hold until it wiggles. Tap the minus sign. Then tap the Home button.
Mail will stop on its own if you move onto using another app but it takes several minutes before it actually quits.
Maybe your system has the same symptom.

Deleted the SMTP setting
Recreated the SMTP using the same settings

Before my PC had iTunes, I loaded Aps from store onto my daughter's PC with iPad connected. I indicated my email address and Apple password. Now I want to upgrade to next iPad but Aps in my iPad are not on my PC iTunes. Do I have to buy again to keep them

I'm a new user of an iPad. Before my PC had iTunes (it does now), I loaded Aps from from the iStore using my daughter's PC with my iPad cable-connected. I indicated my email address and Apple password--not hers and paid for these Aps--receipts arrived via my email. Now I want to upgrade to 5.1 but the Aps now loaded on my iPad do not show up on my PC iTunes library. When I click 'Upgrade' I get a warning message that says all Aps currently on the iPad will be obliterated in the process which of course I don't want to have happen because they're not showing up on my PC which presumably means my PC is not aware of what's on my iPad. Do I have to buy these same Aps again to keep them if I'm going to upgrade to 5.1, and how do I get my iTunes on my PC to back up the Aps currently loaded onto my iPad?

You should be able to copy the apps (and any other iTunes purchases) over to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. If you are already on iOS 5+ on your iPad then you should be able to update the iPad directly on the iPad via Settings > General > Software Update .

I set up my emails coming in on my computer so they would appear on my ipad, the only problem I am having is that sometimes my emails are only coming in on my ipad and not on my computer. Until I open them on my ipad they will not appear on my computer.

I set up my emails so when they arrive on my computer, they would also arrive on my Ipad. The problem I'm having is there are times when an email arrives on my Ipad but not on my computer. Unless I open the email on my Ipad, it will not open on my computer. How can I have the two divices work in unison where the emails arrive on both at the same time?

Both libraries would need to have been setup to use home sharing with the same Apple ID in order for that to work.

I checked all the settings, the wireless router in my house and at work.
I have completed a hard reset of the device.
I had our IT guy at work look at it.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. POP: yahoo, aol, comcast/time warnder/road runner
Imap: google, hotmail, and more including icloud.
If you want to use multiple devices - move to imap, I would even say "exchange", but Google does not support free exchange anymore, since January of that year. So Ironically Icloud or Hotmail would be my choices right now.
