IPad email questions

Hi. I use the default mail on my iPad but having an issue with the outgoing mail address.
I have my gmail account and now my @ me.com. Trouble is I only want to use and others to see my gmail address and not the me.com address.
How can I have only the gmail account and not even fool with the me.com account?
As it is now, my default outgoing email address is always me.com.
I really want to change that.
How can I have more control of my email accounts?

Turn off iCloud: Settings>iCloud>Mail>Switch off.
Add G-Mail: Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>Sign In!

From my experience, the iPad will, by default, first download mail to a respective mail box. Then, each mail box will show emails, from most recent to oldest.
However, the Mail box will reflect the behavior of your computer's current setting. In Mail, you can sort email by Attachment, Date...Flags, Ascending, Descending. What is the setting of your current Mail client?

Welcome to the Apple community.
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.

Where's the best place to rant about iPad eMail app?
Using either iPhone or iPod Touch with its smaller display, once finished reading, button back to inbox.
With the larger display the open email does not close; although, switching to others only on side bar frame.
I find it more an annoyance than useful to have partial view rather than full screen for inbox reviewing.

IPad email has been hacked

My iPad email seems to have been hacked. I have searched for other cases where this has happened, but I only see items where the respondent has said that the iPad cannot be hacked... So I will explain why I think mine really has been hacked.
- 2 days ago at 6.15 am when I was asleep and my iPad was safely locked up at home an email was sent via my yahoo email account.
- the email was address to myself and 3 contacts I know.
- I saw the email later in the day because, of course, it landed in my inbox (I actually saw it first on another device)
- over the years I have seen plenty of spam and spoofed email, but this looked different
- firstly, one of the addressee emails was actually wrong and I also had a bounce email to say that yahoo had failed to deliver the message
- so my first thought was that someone had hacked my yahoo account and sent the email from there. I therefore changed the password, hoping this would put a stop to the problem
- in retrospect I checked the sent items box online in my yahoo mail account. The offending message was indeed there, so no doubt that it had been sent via the account. At that point I thought it likely that the hack had been via the online email service and not from any of my devices.
- however, still curious I started checking all my devices (all Apple: 2 macs, 2 iPhones and finally the iPad)
- all the devices showed no suspicious sent item except my iPad which showed the rogue email in the sent items folder under my email account details
So, the questions now are:
- how did this happen?
- how do I stop this happening again?
Ps. The rogue email contained a link to the following URL

Unless the iPad was out of your sight long enough for someone to send the email it was not hacked. Its just not physcally possible to hack an iPad and then remotely send the email.
What happened is that since your iPad is synced to your Yahoo mail, any activity on your account is mirrored on the iPad. so when the email was sent thorugh your Yahoo account, the sent mail is put in your Sent folder which is mirrored to your iPad.

Actually, you can email up to 5 at a time from the Photos app. Select any more and the email share option will not appear.
If you explain why you need to email large numbers of photos, we might be able to offer an alternative.

I usually record hockey games in Landscape mode with the Home Button of the iPhone on the left side with the screen facing me. That is the mov file IMG_0063.MOV
Apple's QuickTime Player displays it correctly, while the VLC player, which ignores exif flags plays it upside down. So does the Plex Media streamer ignore the flag, so does the thunderbird mail app ignore the flag, and so on. Adobe looks at the exif flags so they get it right.
My movies are of four Post It Notes, each one describing the location of the Home Button. Take a series of four pictures oriented like my test MOV files , then take 4 short MOV files of the same iPhone orientation. If the results are "misoriented" then the software you are using to look at them is ignoring the orientation flages.

My email consistently is seen by my recipients in a long line, without word wrap. How can I change this? I'm using Yahoo, but it doesn't happen with any other mail client beyond my ipad.

Yes, and here we are 7 months later still looking totally stupid when we send emails with lines that don't wrap to fit the window (like it just did here). I saw this happen with a friends iPad and we spent hours looking to turn on word wrap, which has been a minimum standard since the 1980's. I assumed this would have been fixed by the time I bought this iPad2 but NO. It is truly an UGLY fact that Apple can produce elegant devices that don't have the basic minimum programming to make them work properly. I am so angry that I bought an Android phone instead because it word wraps emails beautifully and instantly reformists to wide or narrow screen. Conversely, if I type an iPad email and the line continues beyond the edge of the window the type is made smaller and smaller the longer the line gets. The reply to my email showed that my type size was about 2 points in height and looked like unreadable ants on the screen. Wake up Apple, Linux is going to Eat Your Lunch if some Smart programming isn't applied to your devices!

It calls both the ipad and iphone when calling the associated email address for the ipad. However, when I call the iphone it does not call the IPAD.

Restore from iTunes. It is hard to say if you want to backup or rather revert to an old backup. I would recommend to save the previous backups to a safe place and then backup the current state and later test the backups incase your iPhone comes back to proper life.

IPad Email Client Truncates URLs

I receive emails from a service, Dell Message One. The emails contain a URL to respond via the browser. The iPad email client truncates the URLs improperly, which prevents the iPad browser from going to the proper website and page. An example is below:

The URL is truncated after the equal sign in the link. This behavior was corrected in the iPhone at version 4. I have updated my iPad to version 3.2.1 to no avail. Anyone have a solution?

Since you said the phone iOS had it before version 4, I would expect the same problem on the iPad to be solved when iOS4 for the iPad is released this fall.
