IPad email setup with iPhone

Can I set up my gmail, .edu, and other email accounts on both the iPad and iPhone? Will I receive notifications on both the iPad and iPhone? Just wondering what will happen if I have the same email account on both.

Depends on the protocol used for each account and how you have notifications configured.
You didn't specify what kind of accounts they all are (IMAP, POP, Exchange) so nobody can say for sure.

When changing account settings to use Verizon's new secure email settings, my iPhone keeps giving error " Can not get Mail, the mail server incoming.verizon.net is not responding.
I am using port 995 with SSL as instructed. Switching back to the standard port 110 with no SSL works fine.
Outgoing works fine with port 465 and SSL.
Also, same secure settings on Outlook 2010 work perfectly fine.
Anyone having this issue?

A few other people have posted that after making the changes they had to reboot their iPhone/iPad in order for it to connect again. Have you tried restarting?

New apps purchased on ipad not synching with iphone 4S. This a new problem. No problem in the past

Purchased new apps on ipad. Purchases did not synch with iphone 4. Purchases are listed in my itunes account and on my ipad, however, they are mot listed as purchased on iphone 4s. this is a new problem. I did not have any probelms in the past wit apps synching with iphone 4.

It does, but I use the SoundNote App because it records audio and allows me to draw diagrams in the document. Any thoughts on syncing the SoundNote files to the mini? I am sure it can be done with a wire, but I have a disability which makes it difficult to plug and unplug cords, so the more I can do wirelessly or through the Cloud the better. Thanks for your help! Using iMessage with iPods/iPads and SMS with iPhones

I prefer using SMSs to text other people with iPhones but I still want to use iMessage to chat with people who own an iPad and an iPod. What do I do? I don't want to desactivate iMessage.

The only way I know to do what you want is to disable/enable your iMessage account as needed.
Of course, every time you disable and then re-enable iMessage in message settings, you may have a "pause" while it re-activates your iMessage account.
Out of curiosity, why do you even want to do this? The integration of iMessage is intended to be seemless - if the devices at each end can use, it will be used, but if not a regular SMS is sent. You can force it as you wish, but it will be a pain in the rear to do, if you ask me.

Exchange Server 2003 Email setup on IPHONE and IPOD Touch

Hi we have Exchange Server 2003 (SP2) on Windows Standard Server 2003 and we can access OWA from any browser and also am able to setup Exchange server Emails on Blackberry device without any problem but when I try to setup on IPHONE or IPOD touch I get error message saying Can not connet to server. I tried to get the answer on google and seems like it should work but seems like I need to some other settings on exchange server to setup exchange server email on Iphone or Ipod. Any idea what could be the issue.

Sorry I forgot to tell you that I tried without Exchange also.
I tested my activsync Connectivity test from https://testexchangeconnectivity.com/ and it fails at SSL. (Port 80 and 443 shows open and passed) In our server we bought SSL scertificate last year from godaddy and installed as I thought it requires but later on I removed as I was not able to setup iphone. So I don't know what could be the exact problem.

Nikon D4s/WT-5: controlling camera works with iPad but not with iPhone 5s

The iPad is too big to use in the planned project, the iPhone is small enough.
The iPad and iPhone both connect to the ad hoc net created by the D4s/WT-5.
With iPad I can view and control the camera using Safari browser, which shows the control window.
With iPhone I get the same window, but it is inactive, the buttons are dead, no live view either.
The Nikon Wireless Mobile Utility does not support then D4s.
Advice ??

Can Outlook 2013 Email sync with iPhone 4s via iCloud?

Hi.
I am hoping to sync my iPhone 4s with my email in Outlook 2013. I thought I had found a link online earlier today to do this via the iCloud but my system rebooted and I lost the link. Can this be done?
When I try to setup my email using iCloud on my laptop I get the following error "Setup can't continue because Outlook isn't configured to have a default profile. Check your Outlook settings and try again."
I have not made any changes in Outlook for fear that I will mess it up.
Looking for any help I can get!

Email is not synced from phone to computer. both devices should be setup to send and recive from the same account. So setup your iCloud mail on your phone. then set it up on your computer in Outlook. if you are having issues with Outlook then ask on a Microsfot forum, as at this point the issue is not realted to your phone.

How do I sync 3 email accounts with iPhone

I have 3 email accounts all currently appearing on iMac (using entourage). I tried mobileme and couldn't seem to get all 3 to work. Had a chat with apple support and they say I can't use mobileme for more than 1 email address.
What is the best was to set up my iPhone to get the 3 email accounts to appear?

IPad Email issues with the new iOs4

Well I guess downloading and being the first one to use these software rollouts is not a great idea. I have an iPad with WiFi and 3G. I rely heavily on my iPad for email. Here are the issues that I can concur with other users:
1. Main email account sometimes sends email and sometimes gets hung up. If I switch off the wifi and turn it back on or 3G it will send out. If I cc a copy to myself it sometimes winds up in a spam folder. This is a Yahoo email account.
The solution: open the Yahoo email account in Safari and view as a web page. To send emails shut the wifi off and turn it on see if that "reboots" the email.
Apple must come up with an email fix to this ASAP -- it is possible there is a compatibility issue with Yahoo and the new iOS4 or the Mobile Me that I downloaded
2. Email in the "drafts" folder cannot be sent or moved to the "inbox" to resend when ready
3. Emails being sent to my Yahoo account are received

Response to hils26, 11/25/10: I am having ongoing issues of a similar nature. For lack of a better word, I would describe it as "leeching". Before upgrading to ios4, my drafts were being readdressed to an addressee in the next saved draft; sometimes the subject line was changed as well (subject of the next saved draft). Before I noticed, I had sent several personal emails to an unintended addressee.
Now I find that the subjects are being changed in my inbox emails. I cannot even describe the strange emails I find in my yahoo inbox and sent folders...they appear to be spam offers sent to myself and several others from my address book.
This is not only potentially embarrassing; the security breach can affect business conducted via email...which is the primary use for my iPad.
Is this happening to anyone else?

Calendar on ipad not sync with iPhone

In recent days I have put appointments into calendar on both my iPhone 4 s and my ipad2 and neither has synced with the other. Any thoughts or suggestions. Up until a few days ago, this was not a problem.

Hi David, thanks. Yes, it is the same accounts all devices and was working fine until last week. I put an appointment in my iPhone on Friday and it still hasn't appeared only iPad calendar yet. I didn't realise until I went to put a different appointment in my ipad this morning. This has not appeared on my phone. As it was working perfectly well before it seems to suggest it is an iCloud problem

Why can't I email photos with iPhone 4s?

I've had no problems sending photos to email on my iPad 2, but can't figure out why I can't from iPhone 4s. Suggestions?

I did all of those steps. I select the photo, press the arrow, select email, type in email address, select photo size and then nothing happens. I've tried selecting different sized photos and different email accounts and nothing happens. I compared the settings on my iPhone and my iPad and didn't see any difference. Not sure what to do next.

RV180 Remote Logging Configuration - Email Setup With Google Apps Email

Hello,
Trying to setup email logs to be sent from a RV180 using Google Apps email. Have successfully set up email logs to be sent in both a UC320W, and an RV016, but the RV180 seems to be giving me some trouble.
Current RV180 Firmware: 1.0.1.9
Have tried the following settings:
     EMail Logs: Enable
     EMail Server Address: smtp.gmail.com (also tried ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM which seems to work for the RV016 surprisingly)
     SMTP Port: Have tried 25, 587, and 465 with both Email server addresses
     Return to EMail Address: My email address, also tried 2 alternate addresses
     Send to Email: My email address, also tried an alternative address
     Authentication with SMTP server: Login Plain
     Username: Tried using the Return Email address account info
     Password: Tried using the Return Email address account info
Will this feature work using Google Apps email? Any direction is greatly appreciated.

Ipad doesnt pair with iphone

My Ipad recognizes my Iphone but than gives me an error message that it cannot pair with the Iphone. With any other phone, the same negative result.
Of course both devices are visible and ready to be found....

An iPad can't pair via BT to a phone except to an iPhone for tethering if you have purchased the tethering plan. It can also pair to another iDevice via an app that supports it. The apps are generally peer-to-peer gaming apps. See:
