Ipad email virus
my wife opened an email she thought was from me. It said it was from me but was not. The subject line said VCBG or something like that. When she opened it, the screen went into garbled broken code. She closed that email and every email she opened after that did the same. Is this a virus?
It is not a virus, as there is no malware that can affect an iPad, unless it has been jailbroken.
Try resetting the iPad, by holding down the home and sleep/wake buttons for about ten seconds. Ignore the power off slider, just wait for the screen to go black. When that happens, release the buttons, then press and hold the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears. When the iPad starts up again, see if the problem is gone.

I received an email infected titled 'Good Evening' from a friend last night. unfortunately, i opened the link which took me to an ad like website. I believe this is a virus known as the 'good evening' email virus. I am surprised this was not detected/intercepted d by my Ipad. Is there a risk that my iPad may have been now affected as a result? Would random emails in my contacts list be receiving the same message from me now? Is there anything I should do to 'scan' or 'clean' my iPad? I would very much welcome advice please.You might want to let your friend know about this. Tell him to contact his e-mail provider. Make sure she/he changes his/her password. Your friend might have no idea. I've been there. Happily, my friends know me well enough that I would not send the e-mails I supposedly sent. I've also received them. Again, have him/her change password.

You can purchase an email attachment virus checker from the app store, but there is no means for an attachment you receive to infect your iPad. If you decide to by the app I refenced be sure to closely read the app description and some reviews.

I have an iCloud email and Yahoo email on my iPhone that is now old as hacked and unused. I can't access anything as it asks for that account info and I don't remember the password etc. How do I delete and replace it with my new iPad email? ! Help..

If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan. -
How do I select and email a whole lot of photos on my iPad from my iPad emails? It seems I have to go into Email and then insert one photo at a time? Isn't there a way to select all in the photos and then email the batch.?
Actually, you can email up to 5 at a time from the Photos app. Select any more and the email share option will not appear.
If you explain why you need to email large numbers of photos, we might be able to offer an alternative. -

I usually record hockey games in Landscape mode with the Home Button of the iPhone on the left side with the screen facing me. That is the mov file IMG_0063.MOV
Apple's QuickTime Player displays it correctly, while the VLC player, which ignores exif flags plays it upside down. So does the Plex Media streamer ignore the flag, so does the thunderbird mail app ignore the flag, and so on. Adobe looks at the exif flags so they get it right.
My movies are of four Post It Notes, each one describing the location of the Home Button. Take a series of four pictures oriented like my test MOV files , then take 4 short MOV files of the same iPhone orientation. If the results are "misoriented" then the software you are using to look at them is ignoring the orientation flages.

Many newer digital cameras (both dSLR and Point & Shoot digicams) have a built-in orientation sensor. Virtually all Canon and Nikon digital cameras have an orientation sensor. The output of this sensor is used to set the EXIF orientation flag in the image file's metatdata to reflect the positioning of the camera with respect to the ground. Canon calls their sensor the "Intelligent Orientation" sensor. It is presumably a 2-axis tilt sensor, allowing 4 possible orientations to be detected (shown in the left side of the diagram in the link above). -
My email consistently is seen by my recipients in a long line, without word wrap. How can I change this? I'm using Yahoo, but it doesn't happen with any other mail client beyond my ipad.
Yes, and here we are 7 months later still looking totally stupid when we send emails with lines that don't wrap to fit the window (like it just did here). I saw this happen with a friends iPad and we spent hours looking to turn on word wrap, which has been a minimum standard since the 1980's. I assumed this would have been fixed by the time I bought this iPad2 but NO. It is truly an UGLY fact that Apple can produce elegant devices that don't have the basic minimum programming to make them work properly. I am so angry that I bought an Android phone instead because it word wraps emails beautifully and instantly reformists to wide or narrow screen. Conversely, if I type an iPad email and the line continues beyond the edge of the window the type is made smaller and smaller the longer the line gets. The reply to my email showed that my type size was about 2 points in height and looked like unreadable ants on the screen. Wake up Apple, Linux is going to Eat Your Lunch if some Smart programming isn't applied to your devices!

When I facetime the ipad (email address) it calls my phone. The accounts are completely separate. How can I get this to only call the ipad and not my phone as well?
It calls both the ipad and iphone when calling the associated email address for the ipad. However, when I call the iphone it does not call the IPAD.

Help. My iPad email screen went blank. I have rebooted, reset and deleted and reinstalled my email accounts to no avail. Any other suggestions?
Restore from iTunes. It is hard to say if you want to backup or rather revert to an old backup. I would recommend to save the previous backups to a safe place and then backup the current state and later test the backups incase your iPhone comes back to proper life.

I can not get my email to send through my iPad email. The email works for all other options. The error says I need to enter a password in setting, but I have entered the password numerous times to no avail. Any ideas?

IPad Email Client Truncates URLs
I receive emails from a service, Dell Message One. The emails contain a URL to respond via the browser. The iPad email client truncates the URLs improperly, which prevents the iPad browser from going to the proper website and page. An example is below:

The URL is truncated after the equal sign in the link. This behavior was corrected in the iPhone at version 4. I have updated my iPad to version 3.2.1 to no avail. Anyone have a solution?Since you said the phone iOS had it before version 4, I would expect the same problem on the iPad to be solved when iOS4 for the iPad is released this fall.

iOS is a sandboxed environment, the only place (unless you are developing or testing an app) to download programs onto it is the app store (App Store on your iPad, and the app store on your computer's iTunes) -
