IPad / exchange email issue.

My exchange email on my iPad constantly says I have three unread emails.  There are no unread emails on my iphone or iMac outlook mail systems.  Any thoughts how to fix this would be welcome.

Since your mail is tied to the Exchange server and probably an IMAP account there is no way to do this in Airplane mode and remain in sync.

been trying to setup my exchange email on my new iphone 4. I got all the details from my IT department. Setup is complet, it sync'd the following:
    - calendar (all up do date)
    - contacs (all up to date)
    - email folders (all up to date)
but no emails in the folders; it only shows emails in the deleted folder! I keep getting "can't get mail, the connection to the server failed".
    Need help please.

I think the iPhone (with latest software) provides slickness with newfound maturity, while Windows Mobile wins for compability. The Pre's webOS will come into its own over time, but remember, you are evaluating a 1.0 OS.

  • Upgraded to iOS6 on iPhone 4 iPad2 "Exchange" email issues

After upgrading to iOS6 on both of my devices, I downloaded all my emails (I have a lot) from my exchange email account.  Was extremely slow.  When opening an email, takes a long time to display email.  Tried reboot, did not fix problem, in fact it erased all the emails that I had downloaded from the exchange server and I had to download them all again.  Help!

Same exact problem here with my 3GS.  SMTP or IMAP email will not update since upgrade to iOS6, but can send email and attach photos via phone email.  When I ask it to update email, it does the little spinny circle thing, but never stops.  Can access gmail account via Safari on the phone & see current messages.  Have tried restarting phone & turning off & on the account with settings.  I only have one account that all my messages feed through, so there's not a lot to go wrong.

  • Ipad exchange calendar issues.

    Afternoon all.
I'm having some trouble with the Exchange calendar on both my iPad Air and iPhone 5S.
I Can create calendar entries and invite attendees no problem.
the issue comes when those attendees accept or decline the invitation.
I receive an email stating which option they have closed but in the calendar entry itself the invitee is still listed under "No Response"
Has anyone else had this issue?
    Thanks in advance.

I have been having very similar issues to those described by Imola.  The calendar appears to try to load, and a few appointments may show up, but then they will all (or almost all) dissapear.  My company uses Exchange 2003.
Occassionally, deleting a large attachement has helped.  But not always.  Several times in the past, I have exported all my calendar entries as a .csv file, deleted all the calendar entries in Outlook, and then re-imported the .csv file.  While this always works to re-populate my calendar, it also strips functionality (like recurring appointments).
This is very frustrating, and results in me havinging to rely on my Blackberry while traveling, when I would like to just trust the data in the iPad.  A web search clearly shows that many people have this issue, but I have not yet seen any direct responses from Apple.  I hope this is addressed soon.

  • Exchange email issues (remote search and deleted items folder)

I use an exchange account on my Q10 and there is two huge problems about it. - the remote search will find email that are at most 60 days old, anything older can't be found on the Q10. I have added the same exchange account to my iPad and iPhone 5 where I can search for several year old email. - the "deleted items" folder won't sync on the Q10. So whenever I delete an email on any device (including the Q10) it gets moved to deleted items. But the Q10 where the folder is empty because it does not sync. (Issue has been confirmed from several people on crackberry forums)

I'm currently experience the same situations with my Q10. It seems like doesn't sync the folder immediately even if you select the refresh option.yoomy wrote:

  • Corporate Exchange email issue

I am having serious issues here. I use outlook from our corp. exchange server and before this phone i accesses it on my windows mobile phone using Outlook Web Access. My issues with the Pre are as follows: Whenever I reply to all or just reply to a multi-threaded email with multiple recipients, my message and email signature is able to be viewed by the others in the chain but all the previous emails and email signatures of everyone else who reply to the email lose all formatting. The rest of the thread appears single spaced with line after line with no spaces or formating. This makes it impossible for others to follow the email chain because my email from the pre destroys the formatting of the email chain.
Please help as I have to make a decision about this phone and send a review to my employees and associates in our company. We are looking to move from either windows mobile and the iPhone to the Pre but if this capability is not there, the phone will be of no use for us.

  • IPad Air email issues

I have an iPad Air and a Hotmail account. I have issues sending emails with attachments bigger than 500KB?! Sometimes emails with only text are an issue. Why is this??

Can you explain what you mean by "heat issues"? If your iPad Air is overheating under normal use, something is wrong with it. Make an appointment at your local Apple Store.
    Best of luck.

  • BIS and MS Exchange email issue

    Hello everyone,
I own a Blackberry Pearl 8110 with BIS and have it setup for two email accounts; my gmail and work accounts.  I have no problems with the gmail account only the MS Exchange account.  I've been searching google and theses forums and I'm having trouble defining the problem to a few key words so I've not had any luck finding answers. Anyway, here is how I replicate the issue.
Using the web I login to my gmail account, then using Outlook I login to my Exchange account.  I send an email from gmail to exchange and my phone will buzz telling me I have a new email in my Exchange account.  All is good so far.  Then using Outlook I reply to the email I sent.  Then my phone buzzes twice.  I get one message from gmail saying I got a new email at my gmail account AND I get another message from my exchange account saying I have a new email from my gmail account.  The new email is the email that I replied to without my reply. It's important to note that this mystery email does not show up in my Outlook.
This gets very annoying as it looks like I sent myself a duplicate email or, in a real case, it looks like people are sending me the exact same email after I reply to them.  This happens every time I reply to an email from my Exchange account.
Both Gmail and Exchange are setup for IMAP.
If anyone has some insight as to why this might be happening I would greatly appreciate it.  Also, if I've left out some info just let me know.
    Thank you for your help.

I don't think that is the question that the user was asking (and if so, then I apologize for being assumptive).
I believe the issue is that same one that I am having, in that if I respond to an email through Outlook (work email) that I also have added to by blackberry via BIS, I receive the ORIGINAL email (without my response).  For example:
Original Email From John Doe: Hi Tiabia
Response Email From Me: Hi John Doe
Original Email that I receive on blackberry: From John Doe: Hi Tiabia
I hope I explained that well enough, LOL.

  • Microsoft Exchange - email issues

There are 5 of us at work that have the Iphone 3G. I was the only one that already had an Itunes account and an apple laptop. After I connected the phone with my powerbook, all worked fine for about 12 hours. At that point my email account went blank (white screen on the Iphone) although my calendar and contacts were still on the phone. The longest I've went is 40 hours before it happened again. The others created Itunes accounts on our work computers and then synced the phone up and all has worked well. I'm the only one that is having a problem.
Yesterday, I downloaded Itunes to my work computer, erased everything on my Iphone and then synced it with my work computer. It worked for a whopping 10 hours before I got the white screen of death again. It has happened again today.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I love the Iphone but it is getting old deleting my account on the phone and then resetting them again. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
    Chris

    Hello Chris.
Is this only happening each and every-time the Exchange account is added?
I know you are in a business and rely on email. But if this is happening with Exchange. Could you possible test the iPhone without the Exchange account for a day and see if it does the same thing?
You state you restored iPhone. Did you restore from backup or as new iPhone? If you chose backup there is a possibility whatever it backed up that has been causing this was since returned.
Thanks for providing any extra info as well.

  • PDF Attachments in Exchange emails opened in iPad

Would like to know how to consistently make a PDF attachement in an Exchange email shown as an icon; not embedded text in the message body.  We use iPad to open PDF attachments in emails sent from multiple employees.  These attachments are all originally made in Word (Office 2010) on desktops, saved and sent in PDF, and opened in iPad Exchange email accounts.  Some attachments are shown as text embedded in the message body but some others are in an icon at the bottom of the message body.  We would like it to show as an icon and open it with other PDF readers on ipad.  How can we make them to show all in that way?
    Thanks

    Hello,
'''Try Firefox Safe Mode''' to see if the problem goes away. Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode, which disables most add-ons.
''(If you're not using it, switch to the Default theme.)''
    * You can open Firefox 4.0+ in Safe Mode by holding the '''Shift''' key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
    * Or open the Help menu and click on the '''Restart with Add-ons Disabled...''' menu item while Firefox is running.
''Once you get the pop-up, just select "'Start in Safe Mode"''
'''''If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode''''', your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to figure out which one. Please follow the [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] article for that.
''To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.''
''When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help other users who have the same problem.''
    Thank you.

  • I set my iPad exchange with same settings from my iPhone. iPad email says it cannot connect to server?

I've tried setting my iPad exchange email with the same settings from my iPhone.  However, iPad keeps saying it cannot verify account.  Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong.  There is a small chance I may have the wrong password but I don't think that's the case.

Update....following a Power cycle the iPad SW was able to be updated and iTunes recognised it!!
Note iTunes SW version is 11.1.4 (62) 64 Bit.
    All cables are OEM.

  • IOS4, MS Exchange Email and Wifi???

None of my MS exchange emails were coming to my iPhone 3GS (with iOS4) yesterday. Today I turned off wifi through Settings (when I was at my office) and now I can receive my MS exchange emails - through 3G and Edge.
Then I turned off 3G in settings and although slower, I did receive MS exchange emails.
Hummmm.... I wonder if this is AT&T or Apple trying to get us to use 3G or Edge exclusively to increase our Data usage?? Since we don't have to pay for wireless Data...... Or could MS exchange be holding out upgrading their software?
Now I will test my bosses' new iPhone 4 to see if I can "fix" her MS exchange email issue by turning off wifi.....

I'm having the same problem. eMail messages are downloaded, I can see that happen. However, the eMail messages are not in my iCloud Inbos. Nor do the eMail messages go to my gmail Inbox. Strangely most, but not all eMails, can be found in gmail folder "Important".
I also had the same problem with Mobile Me, unfortunely at that time I did not have a gmail account. Those missing eMails from the Mobile Me Inbos were never recovered.
