IPad exchange mail different from exchange setup in iMac

I managed to setup my office mail (using "Microsoft exchange") in iPad , but not in iMac
in iPad, there is DOMAIN name that i need to filled, but not in iMac
any solution?

My tech support folks have run this down. There is a known bug in Exchange 2003 that interacts with Entourage 2004 and 2008.
There are details and a work around at <http://blog.entourage.mvps.org/2008/08/useapplescript_to_read_activesync_sent_items_inentourage.html>.
My solution will be to get my mailbox moved to an Exchange server running 2007.

I am currently using Exchange 2007 into three sites in three cities and two of the sites are connected to Internet sending and receiving emails via Edge transport servers.
Now I am planning to upgrade to exchange 2013 CU1. I don't find any documentation on how to establish mail flow between Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013. Will it be automatic or do i need to create specific connectors between them?

Was this question answered. We're in the same situation now as we're upgrading to Exchange 2013 from 2007. The latest CU certainly helped. Initially the test mailboxes on Exchange 2013 couldn't email each other - This was resolved with CU7 and
using "Custom Settings" - manually entered IPs for DNS in the Exchange Admin Center "DNS Lookups".
Issue at the moment Test mailboxes on Exchange 2013 cannot email mailboxes on 2007 or visa-versa and mail from external sources queues on the 2007 box.
Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Question regarding Exchange ActiveSync migration from Exchange 2003

I am a bit confused about info about requirements when migrating Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) from 2003 to 2010. Now this question is related to EAS only, forget about other services, such as OWA or Outlook Anywhere, for a while.
Basically, all migration guides state that you have to configure and setup a legacy url for legacy services for co-existence. Based on that, I have had an understanding that Exchange 2010 CAS cannot proxy EAS users that are still on Exchange 2003, but issues
a redirect command to EAS client.
However, this article shows information that, based on my understanding, states that Exchange 2010 CAS DOES proxy EAS clients that are still on 2003: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2009/12/08/3408985.aspx
For migration from 2007 EAS to 2010 EAS the article shows redirecting, but not with 2003.
So my question is: While talking about only EAS, do I need to configure legacy external url/namespace/name resolution or not?

Transport service does not start automatically after upgrade to exchange 2010 SP2 from Exchange 2010 SP1

Hi,
I am trying to upgrade Exchange 2010 SP2 from SP1, but Transport service does not start automatically.
Tried manually start services, it started successfully but again goes down within few seconds automatically.
Reboot server. but no luck.
Any help.

Hi,
I recommend you use event viewer to check if there are any relate event logs. This may help us to find the cause.
In addition, as Amit mentioned, Exchange 2010 SP2 isn't supported by Microsoft, I think upgrading to SP3 is a much more sensible approach.

Mail Delay from Exchange to Smart Host

I have this POC setup. I have 2 smart host appliances sending and receiving. Exchange 2010 sp3.
Mail flow in/out working fine. I have one send connector with both the hosts in it with IPs.
I notice when ever I send an email from Outlook it take about 15-40 seconds of delay between exchange and Hosts. The delay seems to be on exchange side sending to the host.
Any thoughts? I will do some more tests ...

If I put one host in the connector then there is NO delay at all.
It appears that when there are 2 hosts in the One connector exchange takes its time to figure out that to which host should it send hence causung they delay ranging from 20 to 45 secs.

All contacts gone after deleting old Outlook (exchange) mail account from iphone. How to get contacts back?

I deleted an old company mail account and when doing so it deleted all the contacts on the iphone. How can I get them back? Can I do a restore where I import ONLY the contacts? Or does Restore just overwrite everything?
When I connect my phone with itunes and go to the "Info" tab, it asks me if I want to "Sync Contacts with Outlook" where outlook is a choice from a dropdown menu. The question I have is what contacts are stored on itunes, if any, and which way it will write them ---> phone to itunes or itunes to phone. Since my phone contact folder is empty right now, I want to get these back from itunes. I am hoping those outlook contacts are stored on itunes and can then be downloaded to my phone, but I do not want to do a complete restore as the last time the phone was synced was a long time ago and contacts will be lost. If the sync writes an empty contacts folder onto itunes then the restore will not even be an option. Just want to make sure I do not overwrite any contacts that are stored on itunes.
By the way, icloud for contacts was not on so I do not have that route of recovery.

Exchange contacts exist only on the Exchange server, and are automatically deleted when the account is remove. This is standard security policy of Exchange accounts. They would not have been backed up to iCloud in any event.

Archive rejects mail saved from Exchange account

After my institution upgraded their Exchange servers from 2007 to 2010 I am no longer able to save mail from my Exchange account to my Mail Archive. The Exchange account otherwise works fine. None of the following have helped: Rebooted Mail and rebooted computer; Removed com.apple.mail-shared.plist, com.apple.mail.plist.lockfile, and com.apple.MailMigratorService.plist.

Thank you for the follow-up Linc Davis. I would get an error message saying something to the effect that the there was a problem in executing the requested file transfer. I cannot say exactly because I can no longer generate the problem. It appears to have been associated with syncing the Mail Account with the upgraded Exchange server. In order to do so I had to delete my existing Exchange account entirely and recreate a new one. Because the new Exchange server associated with my institutional email address creates all the relevant info in Mail as part of the creation of the "new" account, I cannot say exactly what changed but to make a long story short, it now works fine. My main concern was not having to use Outlook and that has been achieved.

Exchange Rate in MIRO differs from exchange RATE in MIGO

We use the following procedure:
- Purchase Order currency = USD, goods-receipt-based invoice verification indicator is set in purchase order
- MIGO currency = USD (We have a lot of goods receipts with reference to the same purchase order position at diferent dates, and consequently to different exchange rates).
-MIRO currency = CLP (Chilean pesos)
Invoice verification is made on a different date of all the goods receipts, using different exchange rates. The system use the document date in invoice verification for currency translation. My client needs that the system post the invoice verification using the exchange rate of the date of good receipt for each position.
Is it possible to solve this problem using the standard SAP?. I was thinking to use a user exit to change the values in MIRO screen. Do you konw what user exit may we use?

I tried the flag "Exchange rate fixed", but my client needs to make invoice verification in local currency CLP (Chilean Pesos). Purchase order currency is USD. When we set "Exchange rate fixed", indicator, invoice verification currency must be equal Purchase Order currency. This is nos the solution

Then, user become confuse when doing revaluation, they need to know exactly which BP is FC or which BP is MC.

Cannot forward Exchange Custom Form from Exchange 2010

We have an Exchange Calendar Custom Form that we use for our change control. When we migrate users to Exchange 2010, they are able to view the Public Folder/Events, but when they try to forward the event, there is not attachment with it.

Send time in e-mail differing from pc-ui to gui

Hi together,
if we send an internet mail from sap gui (workplace, activity) it will be send immediately. The job in scot works every minute.
If we send from pc-ui an e-mail it stand in scot with the message "will not be send before HH:hh" and state "waiting for communication service" and this time is two hours later as the sending time. I can't send it at once.
The system time on CRM and J2EE seems to be the same. Also the user and the RFC-User have the same time zone.
Have anybody an idea what the reason can be?

The original iPads used the same 30 pin cable as the original iPhones and iPods.
New ipads are using the Lightning cable as are the iPhone 5s.

I have an (iPad 2) and an iMac (2012). I have one apple ID used for both the itunes and appstore on the iPad, and on the iMac a different apple ID used for the appstore and itunes. What will be the consequences of changing my email ID on the ipad to the one used on the imac? I don't want to delete the iPad apple ID, just never use it again. I just want to work with 1 apple ID over the 2 devices.
I have purchased apps on the iPad and other documents/movies/books etc and if I sync to the iMac will all that be deleted? How can I just use the one apple ID for all? Does it mean that every time I connect my iPad to the iMac that I have to login to itunes using the iPad apple ID? Maybe it is that simple I don't know.
What will be the consequences of doing this and is it possible?

it would be cool if apple could make an app to use the iPad as a second screen to the Mac line up of comps, like how you can have another screen attached to your comp for multitasking,
