IPad footage has come out blurry and with green

I have all this footage stored on my computer (to edit later), shot with a fairly new iPad mini. Since iMovie updated, it's all showing up blurry, corrupted and green like this. I long since deleted the original footage from my iPad to make space to record more, and need to have these videos ready in a week.
Is there any recovering this footage? Why is it all ruined?

Try taking pictures in manual mode with iso setting 100 or 200 (400 or 800 in low light) and check the image quality.
The camera hardware is pretty good, the problem comes with the superior auto mode which tend to use a very high iso value !!!
A high iso value increases the sensor sensitivity which captures more light but also high amount of noise. Hence when the image processor try to remove the noise it create lots of artifact in the image.
However, since at high iso value the sensor is more sensitive to light, the shutter speed is inreased which avoid blurry images. Thats why, when taking pictures with low iso value, you should try to stay still as far as possible.
I usually use iso 200 which give a good balance: low noise and avoid blur. If the image is too dark in the preview just increase the iso.
