IPad forget passcode can't restore

I forget my iPad passcode, so i want to restore from my backup. But when i did it, it prompts "Find My iPad must be turned off before 'xxx' can be restore". Because i can't get into my device. So i go to https://www.icloud.com/#find,  I removed the device from my account. but the error still there. BTW, my ipad cant connect internet by WI-FI right now. Not sure why, it should automatic connect my home wifi as usual.
Thanks for your help.

Try recovery mode, there are steps half-way down this page (it may take a few attempts to successfully get it into recovery mode) : Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

You need to restore via recovery mode according to the instructions in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212 and may need to do so more than once to succeed.

My Ipad 4 shuts off spontaneously, it is either impossible or difficult to restart.  Before I send it in, I need to delete my data.  When I hook it up to my computer, I can see what is on the Ipad, but it won't sync.  It did work so-so last night and I installed IOS 8, today it is dead in the water.  The "apple" icon constantly turns off and on, but the screen never fully loads.   I can't restore my IPad until "find my IPad is off, but like I said, I haven't had an active screen all day so I can't shut it off.  Help?

Does the unit not run on the charger alone? (take the battery out and plug it in.)

  • Forgotten passcode - can't restore iPhone

    Hello.
My iPhone got disabled after I entered passcode wrong several times. It asks to connect the device to iTunes, so I did. I followed steps from the instructions here http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212?viewlocale=en_US ("if you've never synced your device with itunes" since I reinstalled Windows and lost the reserved copy of my iPhone in iTunes). After the first time I put iPhone into recovery mode, iTunes downloaded some updates and restored iPhone but I still had the problem with passcode. The device was still disabled and asked to connect it to iTunes. I put it into recovery mode again but I can't restore it because error 1611 occurred.
How can I restore my iPhone and solve the problem with passcode?
    Thank you.

Click here and follow the instructions.

  • Forgot passcode; Can't restore iPod?

I locked myself out of my iPod, and since this has happened before I just decided to restore it as I usually do. However, iTunes is telling me that I can't restore my iPod until I turn off Find My iPod in the iPod's settings. I can't exactly do that, considering I'm locked out of it. Is there any way to turn it off, or just restore it anyway?
iOS 7 beta 6 on an iPod 5th gen, if that helps at all.

You say you have iOS 7. If you are a developer you have access to the private OS 7 developer's forum

Otherwise you are on your own

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • I deleted some videos from my iPad mini. Can I restore them with my icloud backup

Please help. I deleted some videos I need. If i reset my iPad mini will I be able to restore with my icloud backup.

If they were in your camera roll when you last backed up, restoring the backup should recover them.  The backup will, of course, overwrite any newer data on your iPad so if you want to keep it you'll need to save it before restoring the backup.

  • IPad disabled.  Can't restore even after removed from FindMyPhone.  Still getting message to remove from FindMyPhone when try to restore.  Help!

My iPad indicates that it is disabled.  When I try to backup from my PC, it tells me to disable FindMyPhone.  I removed the device from FindMyPhone (couldn't see how to turn it off in iCloud) but, when I return to iTunes, it continues to tell me to turnoff FindMyPhone.  I've verified the iPad isn't showing on FindMyPhone anymore.  What do I do to get into my iPad?  Please help!

  • TS3274 Lost all sound on iPad. How can I restore it?

There's no sound. Is there a setting I can change to enable sound?

    Hello wgoforth,
I would be concerned too if the sound was not working on my iPad.  I found an article with steps you can take when you are experiencing issues with audio (the article title says it's for an iPhone, but the steps are relevant for an iPad as well):

  • I can't restore my ipad as new

I've forgotten my restrictions passcode on my ipad and as a result I can't access my icloud or accounts settings to switch restrictions off.  Equally I can't turn off 'find my ipad' therefore I can't restore as new in itunes!  Somebody please help, I've been through all manner of potential solutions but I think I'm totally stuck now.
    Thank you in advance....

Did you try erasing the iPad using Find My iPhone in iCloud.com on a computer? You do not have to turn off find my iPhone in order to this, at least according to the instructions here.

  • I lost wi-fi on my iPad 2 and can't get back

I lost wi-fi when connected at home, my iphone was connected fine. I reset the network settings and got it back for a few minutes then lost it again. I have updated my itunes/ipad to latest software, then reset the ipad. I can only restore the ipad from itunes backup as no network to set up as a new one. Now when in settings the wi-fi is grey saying no wi fi so can't even look to connect anywhere. My ipad 2 is 64G wi fi only

Back up the iPad and then restore it to the factory settings.
