Ipad from tmobile finally ariving tomorrow. I kinda want a bigger one now..

I ordered a 16GB from tmobile and it should get here tomorrow. Is there a way I can take the new ipad to the apple store and pay the difference to exchange it for a bigger one? like, maybe the 64GB?

You may be able to return it to a T-Mobile store but they may require you to ship it back to them.
In the future, I recommend buying from a store in person so that you can always make a retuen to that store in person.

Hi, Does anyone know if the Ipad 2 has hand writing recognition? I want to buy one for an aged parent who does not type. Thanks

There are apps that will do handwriting recognition, such as Writepad HD. However, I suspec that such an app would be even more of a challenge to an older person than trying to use a keyboard.

  • How to store data in ipad from computer

please explain me how to store data (music video & pictures) in  ipad from any personal computer...kindly explain me in simple steps...

The iPad can only sync with one computer.  To do this you need to have iTunes installed on the computer and have it associated with your Apple ID.  you can then use iTunes to transfer music, movies and pictures from that computer, and that computer only.

If you need to get files from other computers, you would need a 3rd party App that can handle the formats you wish to transfer, and possibly transfer them either through iTunes file sharing or Wifi transfer depending on what the App supports.

how do i move photos in iPhoto for iPad from album to album ?

If you want to move a photo, then you need to use a PC or a Mac. In iPad, you can copy, but this is just a link to the original. It's something I've been wanting to do for a while...but it looks like it needs another photo program to do it.

How do I remove an iPad from my iCloud account?

If you want to keep the photo stream photos on it, save them to the camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).  Then go to Settings>iCloud and tap Delete Account.  You will then be prompted about whether to keep or delete the iCloud data from your iPad.

How can I set up my contacts so that I do not see all of them on ipad from iCloud? I don't need/want to view contact info for casual contacts on the ipad. (I.e. contacts entered so that I can identify a caller for ID/screening purposes)
Also would like to limit email contacts from yahoo- no need to view emails for every "safe list" address.

  • HT1202 I want to put the songs onto an Ipad from my Itunes??? HELP

I want to put the songs onto my niece's Ipad from my Itunes... but when i plug the ipad into the computer it says I need to select one of the following 'set up as new ipad' or 'resore from this back up :rachels iphone' .. but i dont want to erase anything, i just want to transfer some songs over????

You can't sync with more than one iTunes library. You will have to enable Manually Manage Music and videos in the iTunes settings and then you can drag and drop the songs onto her iPad. This also requires that you turn of auto syncing in iTunes.
Without connecting the iPad launch iTunes and from the menu go to Edit>Preferences>Devices>Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Check that box. Click OK.
Now connect the iPad to the computer and you will have to launch iTunes on your own. Click on the iPad name under the devices heading. If you are using iTunes 11 go to View>Show Sidebar from the iTunes menu and you should see her iPad under the devices heading. Go to the Summary Window on the righ and click on Manually Manage Music and Videos. Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
Now you should be able to drag and drop songs onto her iPad.
You can read more details here.

My USB charger is not supporting while i am connecting from PC to iPad for charging (showing as " Not Charging"), Kindly advice me

    Hi Folks,
I have tried most of what have been said here ( thank you for the great Job) but unforunatally it didn't solve the issue.
However, now the "Not Charging" message in the right corner disappeared and my iPad is charging normally from my laptop.
The reason behind that is using the USB3.0 port in my Dell inspiron N5110. Earlier, I was using the USB 2.0  ports and that is why it was showing that message but as sooon as I pluged it in the eSATA USB 3.0 port , the message disapeared and the iPad started charging normally.
So don't waste ur time here and there try to plug it to USB 3.0 port and it will works, Insha ALLAH.
    Cheers

  • Can I screen share the iPad from my mac?

My 97 year old father is returning the Macbook Pro I bought for him as his ability to continue learning and using it effectivly has finally subsided to that determining point.  He is anxious to buy the upcomiong iPad in hopes of still being able to receive emails and have access to the internet as well as display photos and other limited uses.
My father has always traveled and has, my whole life and for most of his, spent it somewhere else, always moving.  The most wonderful feature for provideing him with learning about his Mac and problem solving when needed in romote locations from my steady location, many miles away,  has been the use of screen sharing.  Every time he had accidentally lost his mail or needed to learn a new feature, I just had to ask him to start up iChat and accept my invite.
THE VERY PROBLEMATIC FEATURE OF MAKING THE ACCEPANCE BUTTON APPREAR REQUIRES A MOUSE-OVER as it is not available at fist.  THIS IS VERY VERY DIFFICULT FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND AND HAS PREVENTED MANY OF MY ELDERLY RELATIVES FROM BEING ABLE TO PARTICIOPATE IN SCREEN SHARING. SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT ALREADY THERE; it seems that elegance is more important than function in this case.
Aside from this difficulty, screen sharing was brilliant.  Now I expect he'll buy an iPad and will immediatly need assistance with it.  Is there any way for me to manage it remotely for him?  Upon initial perusal of this I've found that the other direction is possible, but not controling or sharing an iPad from a Mac.
Does anyone have any suggestions or further information?
    Many thanks in advance.

sorry but no.  apple does not allow screen sharing or remote assitance on iOS devices.

  • How do I load movies into my ipad from itunes?

I'm trying to load movies onto my ipad from itunes, I've already synced my ipad with all the current songs and the movies, but I go to videos on my ipad and do not see it.  So I go to itunes, hit movies and still see nothing but movies for purchase only.  I'm going on a trip on Wednesday and would love to sync all my mp4 movies into my ipad but can't find them on my ipad, can anyone give me some advice?  I've been searching the forums, but nothing seems to work for me.  Appreciate it guys.

    wondershare video converter.
I wouldn't bother with Wondershare. While iSkySoft has some excellent products (e.g. FreeSync), their video converters are generally (sometimes far) slower than HandBrake (check out the benchmarks at http://www.macworld.com/article/1150757/dvdripping_roundup.html and http://www.iphonelife.com/blog/87/benchmark-excellent-multimedia-converter-handb rake-vs-commercial-apps if you want to see some figures). And vastly overpriced, while HandBrake is free and so is its batch companion. Finally, it's really a one-second drag-and-drop to drop the files it creates into iTunes.

    Identify Your iPad
    http://www.ifixit.com/Info/ID-your-iPad
If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 7.0.4. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.
You can no longer update to iOS 6.x, or down grade the iOS.

iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and antivirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.
How to Upgrade to iOS 7
The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
    To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
    Go into the iPad's Settings.
Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
    To upgrade using iTunes:
First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
Now you are ready to begin the process:
If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.
