Ipad Frozen on Back up message!

Hi my screen is stuck with the message that the ipad has not been backed up. I have tried holding the off switch down and the screen underneath the message changes but it does not shut down and reset - I have also tried to linking it to my mac but it does not want to sync. Any suggestions?

Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

My iPad Mini has frozen with a a message that I do not have enough ICloud Storage space. I have freed up nearly 5 GB of space and it is stll frozen.

Try a reset:

6. Tap "Country/Region."
7. Tap "Change Country/Region"

Press and hold the power and home buttons until the device shuts down. After a short while the apple will appear and the device will boot up. Things should work then.

HT4759 my ipad is giving me a message "icloud backup: this ipad hasn't been backed up in 32 wk..." but I cannot get this message to clear off my screen. I'm unable to turn the ipad on/off or do anything else with it.

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.

Apple's download AND activation servers are being stressed today with all the downloads/activations. It might be best to wait and try later.

I keep getting an error message that says the ipad cannot be backed up

I am a new ipad user so perhaps that may be the issue but I have tried to research the message I keep receiving when I try to back up my ipad to the icloud.
The message states " This ipad cannot be backed up because there is not enough icloud storage available."
It says at the bottom display 4.9 GB available of 5.0GB on icloud.
When I go to Manage Storage and there is a list of all apps, etc listed I have turned almost all of them off and still I cannot back up to the icloud.
I am not sure what I am doing incorrectly. Any suggestions I have the new version of the ipad 64G ??

It doesn't sound like you are doing anything incorrectly from what I can see. Have you tried restarting the iPad and then see if you can backup?
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. Release both buttons and await restart.
