Ipad has new message "no simm card"
My ipad inexplicably said "no Sim"
The cellular data which I normally get, is no longer registering.
There has been no change to my Sim card, which remains in place as usual.
My wifi access continues to work, just no cellular data access.
There were no changes made to my ipad.
The sim card appears undamaged.
I suspect though I am not a 100% positive that this has to do with the iPad new cover that locks and unlocks the iPad as soon as the magnetic cover is touching the front display panel. Whenever I put the iPad in my suitcase, where the cover is getting loose due to vibrations, I get the same message. Try to go to the settings - general and disable the lock / unlock option. Hope it helps.

Rudegar is so right, all you do is go the SETTINGS/iTunes & App Store, then select `Apple ID` `Sign Out` then you get the chance to enter your new ID, and it worked a treat!
Good luck with anyone else with this problem, as I spent so long on this, really stupid!

Go to Settings, iCloud, and then Storage and Backup. You will then see a button to backup your iPad. It may be that you have much stuff (i.e. photos, apps) for it to do a full backup but you will be able to tell what the estimated backup should be and what it will consist of so that you can choose to prune down items. If you don't want to backup and get rid of the messages you can just turn backup off from this area as well.

The first back up to iCloud may take some considerable time. Just how long isn't really possible to say without knowing how much is in your back up and your connection speed. -

Hold Sleep and Home buttons for 10 seconds until the device restarts to perform a reset, so you will be able to use your device again -

A reset should help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo reappears, release both buttons and await restart.

Hi, I have a problem with my ipad, it has this message on the screen and will not allow me to do anything at all not even swipe to open. It's very frustrating to say the least, can anyone help me with step by step instructions.
Not backing up should not restrict you from using the iPad (if it did, there would be a lot of people in trouble)
Try restarting the iPad, holding both the home and power button down until you see the Apple Logo and then try to log in. -

Stored text messages on SIMM card
OK, here's a question. Are text messages stored on the phones SIMM card even after they are deleted on the screen? And, if so, how can they either be retrieved or permanently deleted?

You are correct in that the Sim Card in the various smartphones from Verizon only store telephone numbers for dialing overseas. The Sim cards that come with the various Blackberry devices such as the Bold or Tour are not even needed unless you were going to use the device connecting to GSM carriers overseas. So, you are correct. No information is stored on the Sim card, unless the user copies a telephone number to the card.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
