Ipad has no video

Ipad has not video

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

  • My Ipad has worked fine for a year and now it won't play music or videos

My Ipad has suddenly stopped playing music and videos??

Swipe your phone to unlock and enter your passcode.
You needed to enter a passcode before using the touch id.
If you touch id isn't working, then erase the old print and re do it.
I use two prints and have no issues using it.

  • So lately my ipad has been syncing my mom's music. I go on to itunes to make sure those albums have not been selected under my ipad and they AREN'T. Someone please help! How do I other music from syncing to my ipad?

My whole family shares the same MacBook and itunes library.
For awhile my ipad has been syncing other peoples music to my ipad, and when I check on itunes these albums aren't even selected.
Someone please help me!!!! How do I stop the unselected music from being synced to my ipad? (and for specific music, my ipad won't let me delete some music right from my music app)

My wife, daughter and I all shared one iTunes library on one Mac and synced 6 different devices and never had problems selecting exactly what we want to sync to each device.
Even though you do not have these particular songs or bums selected to sync, do you have "Sync only checked songs and Videos" in the Summary Tab of iTune? If you don't have that option selected, makes sure that you so check it before you sync again.
You should be able to swipe across songs in the songs tab of the music app - Swiping from Right to Left - and that will bring up the Red Delete Button. You cannot delete entire albums but holding down on the icon to bring up the X on the album icon. That doesn't work in iOS. 7.
If you are seeing songs in the Music app with the cloud icon on the right hand side, those songs are not on your iPad but are in iCloud and can be downloaded if you want to do so. If you do not want to see those songs, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Show All>Music>Off.

  • IPad to Composite Video (1 video jack not 3)

I have a DVD Player in my car. Has 3 RCA jacks. 2 for Audio and 1 for video. I purchased the Apple Component AV Cable. This cable has 2 audio (works) and 3 video connectors. I tried all 3. I can hear audio, cannot see anything. Is there a different cable/adapter combo I need to make this all work???
    Thanks in advance.

You want a composite cable not a component cable. Apple sells them. What your trying to do? The iPad will output video but you can't input video to the iPad via the 30-pin dock connector. If you were thinking about playing a DVD on the player and using the iPad's display that will not work.

  • Using ipad 1& component video cable to view hulu on the tv

Bought component video cables from apple, hooked up to tv & ipad. No video from hulu. Any ideas? Have i exceeded the capability of this?

Hulu has only activated their TV out through HDMI on iPad 2.
Hulu has not activated TV out for component or composite cables on either iPad1 or iPad2.
I sent an email to Hulu about this issue.
The reason they gave me was that they are still trying to secure content rights to stream content to mobile devices that can stream content out of them to any video device.
So, unless you have an iPad 2 using Apple HDMI connector to one of the new HDTV sets through HDMI, your, currently, out of luck.
This may change, but do not know when.
It's frustrating because Apple TV put works fine with NetFlix.
I am a Hulu+ subscriber and feel like this should, already be a feature if I am paying customer.
Hulu, right is like all the video apps from the networks.
They just won't allow outputting the iPad video stream to your TV.
All of the broadcast network apps do not have TV out capability so you can watch the content streamed through the iPad to whatever TV you own.
It's frustrating and stubbornness on the the part of the major networks.
I do not know they are not including this functionality?
The still run commercials on these apps like regular network broadcasts.
They should all just enable the TV out functionality.
Our family stop using cable, I end up watching network news and shows on my 10" iPad screen instead of the signal being allowed to output through my iPads cable connector to my TV for viewing.
    Ridiculous!

  • I have the Flickr account for my photos, hoping to free up space on my ipad. But the available storage on the iPad has not changed? What's up?

II've recently purchased Flickr app for my photos, hoping to freeup space on ipad. But the used/available on iPad has not changed. Why?

Read this Apple document about the iCloud Photo Library: iCloud Photo Library FAQ - Apple Support
The following is from that document:
Can I use iCloud Photo Library to save space on my device?
iCloud Photo Library automatically keeps all your photos and videos in the original, high-resolution version. Follow these steps to choose how you store your photos and videos on your device:
In iOS, tap Settings > iCloud > Photos or Settings > Photos & Camera, then select a storage setting.
In OS X, click Photos > Preferences > iCloud, then select a storage setting.
If you turn on Optimize [device] Storage, iCloud Photo Library will automatically manage the size of your library on your device, so you can make the most of your device's storage and access more photos than ever. All of your original, full-resolution photos and videos are stored in iCloud while device-size versions are kept on your device. You can download the original photos and videos over Wi-Fi or cellular when you need them
The bottom line is that you'll still have some copy of your photos on your hard drive but they can be smaller, optimized versions.

  • My iPad has no sound

    My iPad has no sound

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
Check your settings. The iPads have a small switch on the right edge. It can be used as a rotation lock to keep the screen from automatically reorienting itself as you move around, but you need to have the tablet’s settings configured properly. That same switch, right above the volume buttons, can also be set to function instead as a mute button to silence certain types of audio.
If the switch is set to work as a mute button, you can change its purpose to “screen-rotation lock” by tapping the Settings icon on the home screen. On the Settings screen, tap General on the left side, and on the right side of the screen flick down to “Use Side Switch to.” Tap to select Lock Rotation or Mute to set the button’s function. Even if you set the side switch for your preferred use, you can still mute the Mini or lock the screen. Just double-click the Home button, and when the panel of apps appears along the bottom edge of the screen, flick the row from left to right with your finger. Tap the icon on the far left side of the row to either lock the iPad’s screen or mute the iPad’s alerts, notifications and sound effects. Music, podcasts and video are not muted unless you turn the volume all the way down.

To solve some sound problems, just follow these simple steps
    1. Go to Settings
    2. Tap on General
    3. Tap on Reset
    4. Tap on Reset All Settings
What this effectively does is to reset some of your Settings to factory default. It’s not a complete removal of settings. It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do No Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy. It doesn’t affect your data. All of your email accounts will remain intact, as well as any SMS text or iMessages.

  • My ipad has just up and lost all movie playback and sound any ideas??

My ipad has lost all video playback, and has no sound.  I can't even listen to iTunes.  I have videos of my kids I can't watch, and my kids can't watch you tube on the ipad, what could be the problem.

    I also have this problem.
I downloaded all my purchased items from my phone to itunes.
I then upgraded my phone to the latest ios.
The ring tone appears in itunes and is showing on my phone when selected in itunes under devices BUT I cant find it anywhere on the iphone 4.
My son got an ipod for Christmas and it shows up on his!?
Anyone able to help with how I find the tone on my phone?

  • What is the procedures to free some space on my ipad to download videos?

What is the procedure to free some space on my ipad 2 so I can download videos?

Texas Mac Man, I'm having a similar problem with my kids' iPods!
I have reviewed the Usage on my son's iPod.  I added up the storage space of all the apps.  It is 2.1GB.  This is what the "Apps" category shows is being used.  The "Other" category shows it's using 2.3GB.  It is only an 8GB iPod, so this "Other" is eating up a ton of space.  He has no videos, only pictures he's taken (which isn't very many), apps (I keep those at a minimum), and music (which I also keep tight control over).  How do I find out what this "Other" is, and how do I get rid of it?  I've read other posts which say I have to perform a factory restore, which wipes everything out, then restore again from the latest backup, with no guarantee that the "Other" will go away.  I've also read horror stories about the factory restore causing problems with the basic function of an iPod.  I called Apple Support, and the young man I spoke to asked around said that the data while using an app (games like MyHorse and Angry Birds) is stored in the "Apps" category.  How can I be sure of this?  He has a game we've put a lot of time, energy, and some money into.  I do not want this to be lost. I'm assuming that backing up from the lastest backup of the iPod will prevent this, but how can I be sure that the game information isn't part of the "Other"?  I'm frustrated and confused by all the conflicting information I've read.  Can you help?

  • My ipad has completley frozen, I restored it, but still nothing, any idea what the problem could be ?

My ipad has completley frozen, I've restored it, but still nothing, any ideas ?

I think that maybe Gail is thinking about using a computer since there is no mouse to use with an iPad
What you describe is pretty typical of system sounds being muted, with the exception of the fact that you still have sound in FB videos, but take a look at this anyway. System sounds and screen lock use the same pair of settings. When one uses the side switch, the other is controlled with a software switch.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the control center if you are running iOS 7. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to get to control center . Tap on the bell icon and system sounds will return.
If you are running iOS 5 or iOS 6, the system sound control is in the task bar at the bottom. Double tap the home button and swipe all the way to the right in the task bar to get to the speaker icon on the left side. Tap on that and the sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock can be accessed in the same manner as described above.
This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

Yes, I filed police report, but there is nothing they can do until I get back to them on the tracking. It's been offline. I'm sure the whoever took it can find a way around breaking in the ipad..i really was hoping to get my pictures and videos of my kids back

  • IPad playing streamed videos.

My iPad has stopped playing videos on web sites. Any ideas how I can get it working again? Thanks

Have you tried rebooting the iPad or clearing Safari and restarting?
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • Can iPad 2 recorded video be uploaded directly on Facebook?

Want to start vlogging and thinking about using Facebook to keep my community abreast of what I'm doing.  Can IPad 2 recorded video be uploaded directly to Facebook without the use of an App?  If not, what App s best?

    Hello,
actually, video from your camera roll can be sent directly to YouTube, and cannot directly uploaded to Facebook without the use of an app.
Facebook actually has its own iPhone app you can use to send your camera roll video. iPad will run it anyway.

  • My iPad has suddenly lost all sound

My iPad has suddenly lost all sound.

All sounds are gone? Did you check the music or videos app for sound? If they have sound, system sounds are muted.
If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.
