IPad ID for Apple won't highlight

My wifes Apple ID is some how on my ipad instead of mine after downloading some music. It wont hightlight in order for me to change it to my own ID. Anyone have any suggestions

Check Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Changes>Accounts. If allowing changes is disabled, the Apple ID could be greyed out and inaccessible.
Or if you were using your own Apple ID on the iPad and switched to her ID in order to download music that was bought with her ID, you locked yourself out of your own ID for 90 days by doing so. An iOS device can only switch ID's every 90 days.

Update: An Apple rep called me today to update the status of my return. I was told that the replacements for the BLACK iPad 2's was still another 3 weeks out (at least) so they offered me a brand new WHITE 16GB iPad 2. I could have that or continue waiting. I opted to go ahead and accept the offer of a new white one. Worst case scenario if I don't like the white one I have buddy that just bought a 16GB black one that he would be willing to swap it.

IPhone connects to lapdock IPad Homerun for Apple

Anybody out there who agrees? The only reason that I haven't bought and IPad is that I don't want 2 monthly ISP payments to ATT. If Apple made an IPhone that could connect to an IPad with lap dock capability, like the new ATT 4G Attrix smartphone, it would definitely be another home run for Apple! Making it possible to run your IPhone & IPad with one ISP monthly payment instead of 2 is a no brainer!

i brought an ipad for my daughter 2 years ago i have had to restore this due to her entering the wrong passcode few times as she is only 8 i have done all that was asked now its asking me for the apple id and passcode i have entered all the ids and passwords i can think off the hint of id has gave me no clue at all i have been trying to do this all night its her birthday tomorrow and i need it unlocked i have recipt is there anny way at all thank you

Perhaps you have been given the incorrect user id deliberately.
If this is the case and the phone won't work, then you are stuffed and there is nothing you can do. You will never be able to use the phone again, so cut your losses and return it for a full refund and buy a new phone from a legitimate source next time.

unfortunately on the internet people tend to give you these rude or patronising answers if they don't like your question, you just have to sort of ignore them
to answer your question in a more friendly way my guess is they are probably not interested in giving discounts at the moment because they are still instantly selling out their stocks for full price.
what i mean is from a business point of view they probably don't want to deny the full price payers an ipad and sell it for discount instead. maybe in a few weeks when the supply catches up they will include it in the program

Ipad asking for apple id when app is launched

All of the sudden our ipads are asking for the Apple ID when a student tries to launch an app.

Having this exact same issue that literally popped up over night. I have 24 iPads in a classroom that I use Apple Configurator with. I've not had any problem up until the last couple days. Various apps, when opened will prompt for an apple id and password. If the student hits cancel, the app shuts down.

Apps are forever tied to the AppleID used to download them.
Either use the ID & passcode used to download the app when
updating the app, or delete the app and redownload using your
AppleID. If the app in question is not free, you will have to pay
for it again under your AppleID.

Ipad asks for icloud password

To clarify this issue:
I do have a different (few years old) Apple ID and created new iCloud ID when I purchased this iPad mini. My passwords for Apple ID and iCloud are different. Ipad asks for Apple ID whenever I want to purches any new App or music what seams to be correct.
iCloud Photo Stream works fine on PC as well as on iPad.
After Power on my iPad mini I have a popup asking for iCloud password. Regardles if I enter my pass or just click "Cancel" it goes away and everything including iCloud and iCloud email works fine. When there is no WiFi available It cannot verify entered password anyway and is keep asking until I click Cancel.
Process of pressing and holding Home button and Power button didn't change asking for password.
I went to Settings->iCloud->Delete Account and deleted it opting for remove and merge and leter I Signed to iCloud again. No change..
I chatted with Apple and they suggested to reset WiFi somewhere in Settings->General----..
This solved the problem for few hours. What I mean when I tried Power off and then Power on again while chatting with Apple the iPad didn't ask for password. After an hour or so it asked again and now is keep asking for iCloud password on power on again although not every time. It has nothing to do with WiFi because it did the same while I was connected to a few different WiFis or not connected at all. Since entering the iCloud password or Cancel does not make any difference until I power it off it means there is a bug somewhere in the Apple's software.
I do not have many Apps installed and in a mean time I removed King Photo because it was failing sometimes.
I'll chat with Apple again as soon as I have at least one hour free time during work hours.

IPad shows unknown Apple User ID's on updates or restore.

Bought a new iPad Air 128gb the other day and installed it from my icloud backup. Upon finishing the installation the ipad asks for Apple user ID (email) and password. However, despite installing my data from my icloud account the ipad offers Apple User ID's of emails i have never seen. A Chinese looking name from @123.com and another user on a @gmail.com account.
These have no association with my devices or icloud account. So where as the ipad found these emails from??
Any help would be gratefully received as I am worried about being hacked or my data being used.

Was your old iPad that was used to make the backup jailbroken, or had you used some other technique to install apps that were not downloaded from the App Store? If so, you have some stolen apps in your backup. The hacked apps are associated with someone else's Apple ID. If you did this, you should erase the iPad to factory settings and set it up as a new device. Do not try to restore it from that backup. Re-download any apps that you purchased legitimately from the App Store.
Alternately, it could be possible that you allowed two different people to install apps, purchased using their Apple IDs, on your old iPad. That seems less likely, though, as I would think you would recognize the addresses in that case.

I have the same problem - it is maddening. I rely on this iPad for work so this is not just an annoyance! The above solutions of changing the appleid on the device or on the website do not work.
The old email address no longer exists - I haven't used it in a year probably and I no longer have the account. I logged into the appleid website and there is no trace of the old email address so there is nothing that can be deleted or changed there. On the iPad there is no trace of the old email address so nothing can be deleted there either. I have updated the iPad software and the same problem comes right back. Every 2 seconds I am asked to log in using the old non-existent email. The device is currently useless.
The only recent change to anything was the addition of an Apple TV device, which was set up using the correct login and password.
Does anyone have any ideas? The iPad has been backed up to the iCloud so presumably it now won't recognize the current iCloud account? So restoring may notbe an option?

Out of curiosity, do you have 2 step verification enabled? It was recently extended to include iMessage & FaceTime & I'm wondering if it might be causing some of the issues that some users are experiencing.

The apple symbol shows up, then the screen turns all black and weird looking with a strange green color at the bottom, and just turns off. It keeps doing this over and over. What happened and is there a way to fix it? I also tried connecting it to itunes and that doesn't seem to be working. It detects an ipad but can't seem to read anything else. It tells me to try and restore it but I can't. HELP!!!

Try this. It worked for a few users after a drop.
Turn the iPad over and give it a very HARD slap on the back. May take several slaps.
