IPad II freezing in iTunes - NOT during synch

I'm on an iPad 2 running IOS 5.0.1, the most current, update and iTunes is completely frozen on a single screen. It's just a regular screen in iTunes. I am not in the middle of a synch. No amount of restarting or closing out of other applications is making a difference. Meanwhile, iTunes is running just fine on my iPhone and PowerMac so this is an iPad issue. All other applications are running correctly on my iPad, including Music and Safari. Suggestions?

1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

Try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank then power ON again in the normal way.] It is 'appsolutely' safe!

HT1386 My device is not seen in iTunes with the lightning cable that came with the iPad air. Is that not a synching cable?

my device doesn't seem to be recognized by iTunes with the cable provided with the brand-new iPad Air? I am unable to synch. Suggestions.? Is that cable in the box only for charging? It is a lightning cable and I did upload the latest Operating systems for both the iPad and iTunes.

It is a sync cable.
Try a different usb port.
reinstall itunes.
Turn the pc off/on.

I tried all the advices given in the forum but this Ipad keeps freezing when I do the OS update. Now after the latest update the IPad has frozen and it does not go in recovery mode at all. It's been 3 days since I tried to update OS and I can't use yet my IPad despite I have tried several times to put my IPda in recovery mode. Help me pls!

Freezing and itunes not found questions

I have two concerns/questions
1. why does my itunes application never work. I hit itunes try to see the store or when I'm using Panda it says itunes cannot be opened or some such message
2. my phone semi froze today (again but different this time).
I could call my phone and it would vibrate - but not ring and I could not answer it.
I couldn't shut it down to reopen. It was open to the phone page - couldn't get it back to the home/icon page.
I did do an update and that restored it but my concern is what can I do when I'm not near my computer (traveling etc). any ideas would be greatly appreciate.

I meant Shazam and I think the other person you referred to meant Pandora. Shazam is an application where you can put your phone up to a radio playing a song and it will identify it for you and then take you to itunes to purchase the song if you want.

IPad backup freezes my iTunes and won't allow New Software Update! HELP!

Okay... I am getting so frustrated. I am on a Windows 32bit XP and don't have any problems with my other iDevices.
I tried over and over, yet every time I connect my iPad it says that it is backing up and then just sits there until I finally get a "program not responding message." In addition, even if I "x" out of the backup part and allow it to finish the rest of the sync process, which it does fine, it isn't allowing me to update to the new version of the software.
When I click on the update software it verifies the iPad and then goes to backup the iPad and then same thing... it just sits and sits no bar, no nothing. If I hit the "x" it simply closes out of the process altogether.
What am I missing? Suggestions? Help?

My ipod is being slower and wont show any music. when I go into general settings it says the music and videos are loading..
It wont let me into settings all of the time either.
My applications and games have become slow or unresponsive.
The ipod keeps resetting itself, I have tried resetting it to no avail.
I tried plugging it into itunes but it freezes itunes and wont show up on my computer.
When I switch off the ipod it shows a spinning wheel until the battery dies, which could be nearly 2 hours!!
does anyone have any advice as to what to do?
currently ive reset it - nothing has happened
ive let the battery drain itself then recharged it to see if that would make a difference - no difference
Help ASAP needed

Try restoring the iPod via iTunes. First from backup and if problem persists, restore to factory defaults/new iPod.
If still problem make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If your iPod is with in the one-year warrranty, not abused and defective Apple will replace it.

Have you tried to reset it? Hold down the sleep and home keys for about 20 seconds and see if you can get it to reboot.

Option 1
Try force iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to 6 very closely.

Ipad will not complete synch in itunes

My iPad (4th gen) will not complete synch in iTunes. It just hangs on the last synch step. Using iOS 8.0.2 and iTunes 11.4 on MacBook Pro with OS X 10.9.5. Would appreciate any recommendations.

When I scroll down and view my AppleID (which I was already logged in) it makes me login again, I do and it says I can't access the iTunes store and that I can only do that in the Portugeuse store, then it wants to redirect me to that store.
Apparently someone set up this Apple ID to only work for Portugal, which is driving us crazy. I cam easily create her another AID to work in the US, but I don't know if this will then conflict with her iCloud storage, which is the "portuguese" one (LOL!)
She has numerous devices (2 iPhones, 1 Airbook, 1 iPad) all in a big mess of a jumble. I'm hoping to make these be able to sync contacts, photos, calendar, music, etc.
Her email is gmail so I can use IMAP for that.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

TS1369 My IPad is now showing as not Synching to Itunes, although it has done in the past no problrm.

Cannot get my IPad to snch to ITunes on my Computer, Not had a probelm previously.
Have gone into help and it is shown as not connected.

The track is probably corrupted in some way so won't play. This has happened to me and I just deleted the track and redownloaded (should be free if youve already paid for it... but check that you can do this before deleting it). This should help...
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If this doesn't work then report it to ITunes.
