Ipad imessage ios 7 mobile number
Hi,
there`re some tipps to be able to receive on an iPad imessages sent to tne mobile number. But they don't work with iOS 7.04. I would like to have conversations sent to my mobile phone number on the iPad as I have them on my iMac. Any solution?

Try to add my mobile number under setting but it will not accept it
Has the number been added to your AppleID?
And just to be clear, adding this as an address to Messages on the iPad will NOT allow you to receive SMS messages, just iMessages. -

So I upgraded to 10.8.2 on ML and IOS 6 on other devices. I notice on the iPhone that my iMessages can be received by default only to the mobile number.
I previously turned iMessage off because frankly it was a complete PITA and more trouble than it was worth. The mess created for recipients with messages coming from apple IDs when sent from the iPad and from a mobile number on the phone, then messages sent from one not showing on the other, replies not going from one device becase there was no internet available but the message had come to the apple ID and not the phone number etc etc. The woes went on. iMessage thus went off.
Now, the ability to use the phone number as the default across decvices did sound appealing and I THOUGHT that when I activated imessage on the Mac and iPad it would automatically show up with the option to use the mobile number on those devices. Instead I just get the email option and can see phone number at all.
Am I correct in assuming that I need to add the Apple ID so messages can be sent there BUT configure it somehow so that iMessages going out from those devices are sent as coming from my mobile and not an email address? last thing I want is the dog's breakfast that the last incarnation of iMessage brought and I would hope this time around that "It just works". I'm gettng more and more used to having to probe around with Apple though, to find ways to make it work.Finally got this to work, coincidence or not i'm not sure, maybe the system was just catching up. On the iPhone I ONLY had the telephone number enabled. I then added the Apple ID and all the test messages arrived, as did the mobile number verify message. I then went and turned the Apple ID email off as a 'receive at' source. After that the mobile number was verified on the Macbook and was available to add as an iPad 'email address'.

Couldn't Imessage on his mobile number

I am a new Iphone user,I got an Iphone4s in UK.I have added a contact of a friend of mine who also have an Iphone 4s and his contact have his mobile number and appleid. When trying to Imessage him.Its showing whether to send through number or appleid(his e-mail) and I picked his number,Its sending message as normal text instead of Imessage? Any idea why. I changed my apple id and everything works fine except message and facetime. I cannot reactivate imessage and facetime is using my email instead of my mobile number. How do I reactivated message and use my mobile number on both applications?

IMessage on mac can't use my mobile number
I was using my phone number as my send and receive for my iMessage on my mac, suddenly without me changing anything i'm now using my appleid email for my imessage and i cant switch it back to my number so that my iPhone/ipad/mac sync on the same imessage which would be my mobile number. how do i fix this and bring it back like it was?

To resolve this issue:
Ensure that you have an active Internet connection. You can complete activation using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. If you need help connecting to Wi-Fi, follow these steps.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Ensure that FaceTime hasn't been restricted: tap Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
Ensure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone: tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: If Set Automatically is on but the incorrect time zone appears, turn Set Automatically off and choose the correct time zone, date, and time.
Verify that you can send SMS messages. You need a valid SMS messaging plan to activate FaceTime and iMessage.
Contact your carrier to verify that there are no restrictions or blocks on text messages. Blocks on text messaging will prevent iMessage and FaceTime registration.
If "Waiting for Activation" still appears after you perform these steps, turn FaceTime and iMessage off and on inSettings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime. You may need to wait up to 24 hours to complete activation. Most attempts will take less than an hour, but some attempts may take up to 24 hours. If you've recently performed a remote wipe on your iPhone, wait 24 hours from the time you performed the remote wipe, and then turn iMessage off then back on.

Why won't my mobile number verify on my iMessages?
I had my iMessages working but turned off iMessage as not needed. Now can't get mobile number back or verified on iMessage or FaceTime, tried resetting networks & iPad no luck!!! Help!

I need to be able to use my mobile number in my iMessage but I will only let me use my email how do I fix it, because it lets me use it on my iPad but not my iPhone !
Then how do I unlink it then? I'm new to the Mac world..

I Know there is a feature which allows me to send iMessages from my iPad using my phone number, but am unable to find it.
The phone number must be an iPhone number. No other phone number will work.
Settings> Messages> Send & Receive> You can be reached by iMessages at. If the phone number appears in there, select it as your contact number. If the phone number does not appear, you most likely will have to start over again by turning messages off on your iPhone, enable it again, and then the number should be accessible to use on the iPad.

If you're refering to your uphone number thats set up to be used with imessage on your ipad, then that is associated with your apple id and has to be changed there first.
My Apple ID

Then on your ipad, sign out of messages. Go to settings/messages/tap on send and receive/tap on apple id/sign out
Then sign out of messages on phone and then back in.
