IPad iMessage not recognizing my wifi signal
When I try to send a text message on my iPad using wifi, it asks me to sign in. I get a message saying "could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again". I'am able to use the wifi signal through my iPad for other functions.
Sounds like it's not an issue with your Internet connection; most likely something going on with either the account or the server. Is it asking you to sign in with your Apple ID? Are you able to sign into the Manage function at appleid.apple.com ?

hello everyone. After 3 years of flawless performance, my iPad gave up. 2 days ago, it decided not to connnect to the wifi at home (or at work). Tried all the things I could think of. Reset network. Airplane mode. Power down. Restart. Unplug airport extreme. Restore. Backup. Backup and restore and everything! Am I completely out of luck?
From your description of the problem it does sound like it is a very real possibility that you PAD has a wi fi hardware problem. If the wifi on/off button is greyed out, that would even give you a stronger indication that it's a hardware issue.

Sorry, but you need iTunes 11 which requires OS 10.6 or higher and a Mac with an Intel processor. In other words, you need a newer Mac.

My iPad is not recognized by Finder or iTunes when it is plugged into the computer. i ran the Restore sequence and got an error message stating "The iPad could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1611). Can this be fixed?

I have done everything I can find online to solve my problem, but I still have the same problem. My 1st gen iPad is not recognized in iTunes! Cannot sync! Please, any suggestions from anyone? Anyone else having the same problem?

iPad is not recognized by iTunes or my computer. Running 10.6.7, restarted, removed and reinstalled iTunes, erased iPad, removed latest 3rd Party software, tried 3 different wires, nothing is working. Worked fine for months, then stopped. HELP!

iPad Mini not recognized by iTunes or iMac. Running 10.6.8 and iTunes 11.0.4.
The iPad mini does not even connect to the iMac. Im using the same wire that I charge it with but nothing is recognized.

Pages for iPad is not recognizing the password I assigned to a document. I included a hint, and I know I am entering the password associated with the hint. Is there anything I can do to access my document? i quite the Pages app and restarted it. Now I guess I'll reset the iPad and see if that helps. Thanks!

The Pages password protects the contents of the document. If there were a Finder password, it would protect what you might think of as the "file wrapper" ... the stuff around the file content.
Glad it's not vital. I have to say I only pasword protect those Pages documents that are, in fact, vital.

No, but cellular data will be used at whatever international roaming rate you carrier charges for data in whatever country.
Exchanging iMessages requires the same thing as email - an available internet connection. SMS/MMS is completely separate from iMessage. -
IPad OS7 not recognized by iTunes 11.1.5.5
I have switched to iOS7 on my iPad) and to 11.1.5.5 for iTunes on my PC (Windows 8).
iTunes and iPad work properly, however when connected to the PC my iPad is not recognized by iTunes anymore. The iPad is recognized by Wndows, i can see it as Apple iPad and not with the name of my Ipad. I have already reinstalled iTunes but still no connection.
Thanks for suggestions.Solution found: i removed all apple applications (config pannel + uninstall pgms) and reinstalled the old version of itunes again. Now the iPad was identified by Windows correctly as well as by iTunes. After that I reinstalled again iTunes 11.1.5.5 and everything is working well now.

I cannot communicate with my ipad anymore. It's indicating to be connected to itunes.If that is what the message on the screen is, you have no choice but to restore the iPad. If you don't have a backup, you will lose everything on the iPad. That's why you should always backup your important data and your camera roll photos.
You can read how to do it here. Pay attention to the last part of the article about using recovery mode. You might need to restore that way.

iPad is not recognized in iTunes. Just installed Mac OS X 10.6 and have a brand new iPad2. Tried all suggestions in the iPad manual without success.
Quit iTunes, restart your Mac and then restart the iPad and see if the iPad is recognized after that. If not, you can look through these articles.

If it's not an AirPrint model, then some manufacturers have their own apps in the iTunes app store, and there are also third-party apps such as Print Central For iPad and Print n Share which might work with it. -

The first thing I would check is to make sure that the router is using the recommended settings to get online. Another troubleshooting step is to create a new Network Location and then join your network to see if that changes things.

My ipod touch will not detect any wifi signals but others devices such as my laptops; do connect without a problem. I restored my ipod and updated it and still no wifi signals are being detected.
