IPad internet works on WIFI only????????????

If we are travelling some were and their WIFI facilities are not available. During that we required data card usability on iPad or sim card?

If you want to have access to the internet and there aren't any wifi networks that you can use then yes. If you don't have the 3G version of the iPad then you could use an iPhone (if your carrier supports it) as a personal hotspot for the iPad, or you could get a mifi device, which take a sim card and act as a mobile hotspot.

Mifi devices are usually quite small. Think Credit Card size, and maybe slightly thicker. So not really a big device you need to carry around.
In any case if you are still within the 14 day return period you may be able to return it to an Apple retail store. It needs to be an Apple Owned store, not sure Authorized Resellers will let you do it.
Other than that, bob points out, you may want to try to use the iPhone as a hotspot for the iPad. If your Carrier supports it. Like the Mifi device, the iPhone will share its cellular internet connection out to other devices over a Wireless network the iPad can use.

Apple shop changed my iphone 3gs today, got home and cannot join my wifi. both my mac and ipad is working on wifi. tried rebooting, resetting still doesnt hold the wifi, it's there for a sec then its not connected.help please?

Yes, they should be able to verify that WiFi is working properly. If I just got a new phone & it didn't work perfectly, right out of the box, before I started restoring or whatever, I'd be right back where I got the phone.

Will siri for the ipad 3 work over wifi? Or just 3G/4G?

Ipad doesnt work with WIFI

new Ipad 3 connects to wifi stays connected for about 3 to 15 minutes and then looses connection, constantly happens. other products connect just fine even both iphones on wifi stay connected
why cant apple fix this???? for me to take the device to them so they can replace for the second time invovles another 4 hour round trip and over 200km in the car.

Not sure what the answer is to your problem apart from suggesting a downgrade to iOS 5 - but that's not currently available because that would be too easy!
In the meantime I assume Apple are aware of these wifi issues and may well be bringing out an iOS 6 update, well enough people are posting on these official Apple discussion forums!

Why am I forced to be connected to internet in order to listen to purchased music with iTunes on iPad? I have wifi only iPad.

I tried listening to my music with my wi-fi only ipad on iTunes while driving my car. iTunes said I needed to be connected to the Internet in order to find the iTunes store. I don't want the iTunes store, I just want to listen to my music on iPad. Can I bypass the need to be connected and just get to the music? If not..... WHY NOT????

You don't need the internet to listen to your music. You're probably trying to access the iTunes store app, you need to go to the iPod app, and that is where your music will be if you have synced it over from your computer or purchased it directly.

IPad Internet access when WiFi and Cellular features are disabled

Local security policies require me to disable all wireless communications on devices operating within specific “Controlled Access” areas. Is there a specific lightning (cable) adapter I could use to connect an iPad device to a hardwired Ethernet cable (CAT-5 or 6) to facilitate wired internet communications in this situation? Alternately, can I use a standard Lightning-to-USB cable connected to a MacIntosh computer and somehow configure the MacIntosh to act as a router-like device for internet communications between the iPad and other intranet or internet endpoints that the MacIntosh is also able to interact with? Basically, I need to establish internet connectivity to/from the iPad without the use of wireless communications options, and I'm interested in the options I could pursue.

I'm going to try this approach out myself (just to verify that it works), but I'm really hoping that another - less encumbered, approach can be found for my end-goal. The larger-scale view of my need includes connecting multiple iPads (one per workstation area) to a local intranet. Since I can't use a WiFi or any other wireless communications solution for this installation, I might need a collection of adapter cables and powered USB hubs if I choose to implement the options detailed in these two videos on a large scale. Sure, that's all possible, but what I'm really hoping to find somewhere is an RJ-45 configured Ethernet-to-Lightning Adapter that will work with iOS devices.
From one perspective I can see why this type of adapter has not been built yet. However when you think about the wired adapter options that are available to connect the iPad/iPhone to a remote display (or overhead projector) - there is at least three different versions available through Apple, even through Apple sells wireless video display capabilities (I own two Apple TV devices myself), you wouldn't think that a wired network option for these mobile devices would be something out of the question...
BTW, I noted that Redpark (www.redpark.com) has some serial (RS-232) adapters for the older 30-pin iPads/iPhones and for the newer Lightning equipped iPads/iPhones that Apple has signed-off on. Redpark also has an RJ-45 to Lighting Adapter, but this particular implementation is built (i.e., wired) for the CISCO Console port, which is not compatible with your typical CAT-5 / CAT-6 wiring configuration.
If anyone else finds a Lightning Adapter providing both Ethernet-based Data (via an RJ-45 connector) and Power to keep the iPad devices charged (24/7) I would really like to hear about it... Thanks for your continued support!

1.4 Web Browser auto-search doesn't work on wifi only

This issue only started in 1.4 and it's a bit weird. If I'm in the web browser, at the start page and I type something and hit "enter" or choose google (they both ssearch on google) it will either run forever without ever loading google or take a VERY long time before finally loading. The weird part is that if I instead type www.google.com, it goes immeadiately (or any other website) AND if I'm not on wifi it works perfectly AND if I AM on wifi, all other apps connect immeadiately (for example, the twitter app connects immeadiately on wifi). I have no idea what the browser's doing differently on wifi with the auto-search but it does it every time.

Please allow me to clarify... How can you fix the search on the messages? I try to search one of my clients names (a new client that I don't yet have saved in my phone but I know her name) and I type in a name in the search bar and nothing comes up. Is there a way to solve this issue?

Cisco Linksys E2000 - SSDP does not work on Wifi, only on Ethernet. any solutions?

I bought a Sonos multiroom-system, and connected the first player to my E2000 router through Ethernet.
It then gets a dynamic address through DHCP, I can see the Sonos within the network when looking in the admintool of the router.
When I start the Sonos controllersoftware on my PC (XP), the software can not find the Sonos when my PC is connected through Wifi.
As soon as I connect PC to the router with ethernetcable the Sonos is found immediately and can be initialised.
After that, I can disconnect the cable and control the Sonos wirelessly. (as long as I don't close down the controllersoftware for too long)
From what I understood from the sonos.com website, the Sonos sends an UPnP multicast signal on port for SSDP on port 1900 for initial connection. Further communicationsport are described below.
Somehow, this multicast package seems not to be transferred into the wireless LAN, only into the wired LAN.
Does anybody know a possible reason - or even better - a solution or workaround?
Do I have to open some ports, filter some ports?Forward them?

So if have the port numbers with you for Sonos multiroom-system then you can do the port forwarding and follow the steps:-
First of all get your Device IP address for which you want to do the Port Forwarding...
Then open the router's setup page click on the Applications and Gaming Tab and then click on the sub tab Port Forwarding then open the ports that you want...

Then logout from your Router's setup page.. Unplug your Router from the power, wait 30 seconds. Then plug in the Router again.

In settings i have enabled both Cellular data and 3G, bot not working yet! (I am in Argentina, i have called my carrier and says everything is ok for them!)

Siri Doesn't work on wifi only 3G

I have just noticed that siri doesn't work on my wifi as of yesterday, worked perfect before, nothing has been changed.
Only works on 3G, I've reset my phone, reset my network, restored to factory settings, even called apple tech and they couldn't help.
Is anyone else having the same issues.

this may be caused by the network and it may not be strong see if somewhere else will work other wise its the network or the iphone

two days ago I restored my phone with itunes backup and now I can't use my internet without wifi. my cellular data is on, i have unlimited data,and i took it to the store and they didn't give me any help. any advice on what i can do to fix this?

My suggestion is to sign out of your Apple ID and sign in again, if that doesn't work I suggest going to an Apple Retail Store and talking to a specialist.
