IPad + iOS 6 + WiFi
Hi, I'm having problems with my new iPad (3). I've upgraded to iOS6 and I can't connect to Appstore, iTunes, Facebook, but it happens just in some places, in others, it works well. Why it's does happens? I've tried changing system date and time, switching to automatic proxy server, restoring network profiles, and nothing fixes the bug... Please, HELP ME! Additional things to try.
Try this first. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
Another thing to try - Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

My iPad 4 does not show up on my TV screen when in AirPlay mirroring mode using WiFi. The iPad displays AirPlay set to TV with the Mirroring On (green).
My iPad IOS software is 8.2 and my Apple TV software is at 7.1. The TV displays the Apple Menu. The “Settings” does however displays the General menu allowing me to see:
Apple software: 7.1 (7003)
Apple TV: Model No. A1464, Part No. MD199B/A
Signal Strength shows 5 circles.
It does not display the iPad screen but when I use the BT Sport App I can hear the sound but there is no video. I have searched the internet for a solution to no avail. The problem first arose when the IOS was at 8.1+ but it worked correctly briefly when I updated to IOS 8.2. Can you help please?Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
Restart your mobile device.

hi i rescently updated my ipad 4 in ios 7.0.4 and for resell purpose i want to restore my ipad via itunes but it got stuck at apple logo and progress bar of 45% completed i tried it 50 times but it stuck on that exact point for hours i cant able to restore it and had no errors it just like freezes at one point i also uses dfu mode but got stuck at same problem using windows 7 32 bits itunes 11.3.8 ipad 4 wifi please help
My iPhone 5 wouldn't start after I turned it off a few minutes after writing this. It went into recovery mode and I had no choice but to connect to iTunes on PC and restore.
I restored to factory setting first, just to validate my phone was okay. For a second consecutive iOS update, the iPhone 5 did not update smoothly while connected to PC and iTunes - I had to retry two times before the progress bar for the update showed. (The exact same problem with the restart occured when I updated to 7.0.4.)
The good news is that I was ultimately able to restore the iPhone 5 to factory settings while running iOS 7.0.6. I did have a backup from about a month ago lying around and was able to successfully restore with that as well, so the damage done is almost negligible since I had my contacts, notes, mail, etc. backed up to iCloud.
Once I completed both restores, the sync with iTunes worked fine. -

My iPad 2 Wifi with iOS 5.1.1 is stuck on the Apple logo. I didn't do anthing to it and this
is the first problem I've had since I bought it during the iPad 2 launch. I've tried a few things

I wonder if Apple is trying to force me to upgrade.In my opinion, iOS 6 is an immense down grade.
However, iOS 7 is being released tomorrow and it

Since upgrade to OS 10.9 and associated iTunes 11.1.3, I can no longer WiFi sync iPad (IOS 7.0.3) nor iPhone (IOS 6.1.3). USB connection is required. Formerly I could sync both devices without locating them physically (not necessarily charging). I have restarted both devices, turned off and on "Sync with this iPad/iPhone over WIFI" and restarted WiFi. WiFi is operating (iPad has no SIM). What next?
I'm also affected by this bug in exactly the same way as you.
Some users have had success by closing iTunes, enetering (on OS 10.9) settings --> network --> edit locations, then create a new location with the same wifi/network settings. Then restarting iTunes.
Others have had some success by editing settings --> iCloud --> de-selecting keychain
neither of these fixes have worked for me.
It appears that the iPad can "see" iTunes running on my iMac because when I open settings --> general --> 'iTunes wifi sync', "sync now" is greyed out if iTunes is not running. When iTunes is started, "sync now" is enabled but just doesn't work. Nor does the iPad appear in iTunes. -

i am at SAUDI ARABIA and the Service Provider is (STC) i found that the APN setting has to change from (jawalnet.com.sa ) to (afaqwireless.com).. NOW 3G OK

When I try to upgrade and install to iOS 5.1, error message prompt "operation stop running". I have tried several time but failed. Also, would like to know why always need to have wifi access in order to upgrade the version of iPad iOS, what is the purpose of 3G then? This is really nonsense using wifi + 3G iPad. need help ! The file is too large to download via 3G. There is a 20MB limit with 3G. The purpose of having 3G is that you have internet access everywhere and do not need to be near a WiFi hotspot or network.
Not every single thing that you do every single minute of the day on the iPad involves downloading files larger than 20MB. You can surf the internet all day long sitting out in a park somewhere with 3G - but not with a WiFi only iPad - unless you use a hotspot with it.
Try turning off your firewall and anti virus software while you try to download the iOS update. -
Personal Hotspot disappeared on my iPad 3 (wifi+cellular) after iOS 6
Personal hotspot was available and working on my iPad 3 (wifi+cellular). After upgrading to iOS 6, I cannot see anywhere personal hotspot option in the Settings application.
I also have an iPhone 3GS which is also running iOS 6; personal hotspot can be accessed from Settings app menu and working without any problems.

IPad 2 wifi disabled with ios 7
I have an disabled iPad 2 wifi , and I don't know why.
I tried to restore with iTunes, but I need to switch off "Find My Phone" but I don't know how, because is impossible to log in the iPad.
Anybody could help me?Just got an android tablet for less than $250. Less powerful processor, but what would you know? Runs VPN and the same streaming apps perfectly for some strange reason. Can AirPlay to my Apple TV and use it as a remote for the Apple TV. Internet works faster than my iPad 4 too. I wasn't going to wait months for an update/fix with not new functionality and only minor aesthetic differences (plus iOS in the car!).
Hasn't crashed once in 2 days. Haven't been able to say that about my iPad in nearly 6 months.

IPad 2 WiFi Connection Loss After Update To iOS 4.3.2
I've been watching with growing alarm the explosion of complaints of iPad 2 WiFi connectivity issues since the upgrade to iOS 4.3.2. My iPad is becoming almost unusable because of this issue, and this after flawless performance of the two iPad 2 32GB WiFi-only machines I bought 15 March 2011. All the suggested solutions I've read of do not solve the problem.
This is very disturbing, and I hope Apple addresses this soon.I also left feed back. I thought apple was also on this did not realize it was just user to user with change. Thanks Carolyn!

IPad 2 WIFI (ios 4.3) Safari+proxy problem
I have a problem with my new iPad 2 WIFI (4.3). With my iPhone 4 (4.1) I have no problem to connect to my authenticating proxy (squid) in my college. With my iPad, it's impossible... Safary is very slow and can't connect to websites. The settings are the same on both devices.
What's wrong ?

Thanks.Safari on my iPad2 is super slow. I use the iPhone 3GS right next to it, and the iPhone just zips. Both show two bars of signal strength. Both are running iOS 4.3.1. The iPad2 is a Verizon 3G with 64 gb.
I have noticed the problem in other apps too. In iTunes when I try to preview a song, the wheel on the song spins, but the wheel next to the wifi symbol showing the bars does not come on. I've noticed the same behavior in the Zite app as well.
Also, the bars showing wifi signal strength will sometimes show up as two bars in the wifi setup screen, but none at all in the upper left hand corner. -

I'm sorry, but Apple does not provide a downgrade path for iOS. Because downgrading is unsupported by Apple we cannot discuss it on these forums, but you can use Google to find information on how to install an older version of iOS on any iDevice.

The Apple Watch app requires iOS 8.2, see the release notes for confirmation…
