IPad iOS Roll back during download

I attempted an IOS upgrade on my wifes ipad without knowing she had never synced it with he mac.  It is at the stage of the upgrade when it asks to connect to iTunes.
Is there a way to rollback out of the upgrade path to restore previous settings and allow he to sync?

I also would like to know if there is anything I can do to rollback. I am very unsatisfied with the changes. I could make a pretty long list of changes that I don't like. I'm sure it's partly because I'm used to the way it was, but I'm unhappy. I really liked having the hardware screen lock and holding down on the volume was more than enough to mute the device. I have seen much worse battery life now that I have multitasking and when my kids use it there are tons of apps just sitting in the tray.
PLEASE let me rollback to clean, good iPad bliss.

  • ITunes 10.5 rolls back during installation

Whenever I try to install iTunes 10.5, it finishes with.
Sometimes it will install, but it says I need to download and install the 64 bit version, which I had installed?
My Laptop is a Compaq Presario, Windows 7 64 Bit

The backup to disc feature was removed in iTunes 10.4. Support documents should have been updated to reflect that by now. Do you have a link to the incorrect info?
To backup your iTunes library see this User Tip, use the general backup tools that you have bought or were supplied with your computer, or subscribe to iCloud.

  • HT4623 I tried to update my ipad air to IOS 7.1 but it shows error that "The software for the iphone was corrupted during download" How can I fix this problem ?

I tried to update my ipad air from IOS 7.0.4 to 7.1 on iTunes. I clicked download and update, it started to download normally but when download finished iTunes shows error that "The software for the iphone was corrupted during download".
How can I fix this error ?

I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):
    curl http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4521.20140310.D2Ydl/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Rest ore.ipsw >>~/Desktop/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Restore.ipsw
Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
    Quit and relaunch iTunes.
    Should now work for you.

  • How to Roll back my iPad2 to iOS 7.1

II've just upgraded to IOS 8.1.2. It became so slow. How can I roll it back to 7.1.1?

    Sorry.
There is no support for iOS downgrades and Apple no longer has iOS 7 on its download servers.
Before you did this upgrade you should have done a web search about  iOS 8 and iPad 2s.
iOS 8 on the iPAD 2 has been very problematic with no real good solutions from Apple, so far.
All IOS 8 update versions have been problems for many iPad 2 users.

  • I updated vietmobile remote files app. this app is broken on iOS 5.1.1 I do not have a backup of the previous version of the (paid) app, how can I roll back to the previous version? Is there a repository of previous versions? Am I boned?

I updated vietmobile remote files app. this app is broken on iOS 5.1.1 I do not have a backup of the previous version of the (paid) app, how can I roll back to the previous version? Is there a repository of previous versions? Am I boned?
Seems silly to not allow a rollback from a file repository of previous app versions.

    >All apps are tied to the account that downloaded it, so to be able to sync back the previous version you would need to still have your copy of that version
I'm not sure I follow, I have not sync'd the ipad with my computer. I just saw an update in the app store and took it.
I tried to del and install the app from the purchased tab in the app store, that reinstalled v2.1 of the app. This also fails to launch.
I have made two service requests to the developer, no response at this time.
Is there somewhere I can download and install Remote Files version 2 file? I can only find the new version 2.1 in the app store.

  • HT3209 how long does a rented movie last? and can i download it  in my pc, then to my ipad and then back to my pc?

how long does a rented movie last?
when i rent the movie in my pc, can i put it into my ipad and then back to my pc?

Yu can copy it to your iPad from your computer, but if you rent it directly on the iPad then you can't copy it off - from here :
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.
From when you rent a movie you have 30 days in which to watch it, but once you start watching it you have 48 hours to finish watching it (24 hours in the US) - you can watch it as many times as like within those 48 (or 24) hours.

  • IOS 5 Firmware update Corrupted during download

Everytime I try to update my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 I this get an error message.
"The software for the iPhone "iphone" was corrupted during download.
Disconnect and reconnect, then try again. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later."

I have been having the same problem - just very inconsistenly - two iPhones, one attached to Mac and the other to Windows updated just fine yesterday - today the iPad connected to the same Mac keeps saying corrupted - it is sayingonly 3 minutes to download - compared to about 10 or 12 minutes for the iPhones yesterday.
I restarted iTunes - and the download is now showing more like 10 or 12 minutes total. and then it worked. or at least it looked like it was going to - got the full 700MB or so download and THEN said it was corrupted.
this also happened when iOS 5 first came out - I just kept trying - might have rebooted my cable modem - but not really sure that anythign I did or did not do had any impact on it.
You would think that if the issue was on Apple's end that they would have some wya to detect multiple failed attempts to download and look into any network issues on their end that might be affecting this.
Download of iPod update on another mac on the same netwokr is saying 30 minutes to download - which seems odd since the file sisze is the same - but for some reason that download is only running at about 2Mb/sec comared to 10Mb/sec for the iPhone and iPad downloads on this Mac.
