Ipad/Iphone calendars missing events from exchange calendar

I have an Iphone and Ipad, both using iCal. They're set up to sync with Exchange 2010 server. Somehow both devices are missing random events from the calendar. I can see them  in the outlook 2010 calendar. I've already found a solution to fix this(Turn Calendar Syncing Off and On again to rebuild the calendar). What I'm looking for is a reason as to why this is occuring. Any Ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm using the most recent IOS on both devices.(6.0.1)

I seem to have fixed it myself. Sorry for adding to the digital clutter.
After dismounting my iPhone, the clear history button was enabled. It then synched well.

    Hi All,
We have a requirement of getting the calendar items from exchange server 2003 using web dav , jakarta slide
initially we made a connection and retrieve the mail items from server
we use search method of org.webdav.lib.httpclient.method.search method to search and retrieve the responses
can any one say how to build an XML request for retrieving calendar events from exchange and how to parse the search method response from and retrieving it.
it would be more helpful if any one throw some light on this

  • Moving events from one calendar to another

Is it possible to move events from one calendar to another?
    Here is our scenario:
User abc123 has set up a calendar abc123:boardroom for other users to book slots in the board room (he didn't know about resource calendars at the time and so didn't request one be created).
Now abc123 is leaving the company, so his calendars are going to disappear, along with all the bookings for the board room.
So my question is, can these events (and tasks) be moved to another calendar?
I've tried creating a resource calendar and exporting/importing the calendar data, but this appears to leave the organizer of each event set as abc123:boardroom, with the result that the owner of the new resource calendar cannot modify the imported events.
Maybe I'm missing something blindingly obvious here, but there doesn't seem to be any way to actually move events from one calendar to another. Does anyone have any advice as to how I might achieve this?
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Mike.

    here is one way:
Click on a meeting to get a Compose window. In the upper right Calendar box, click on the dropdown icon and select the calendar you want to move to from the list. Click on OK to save.
Of course, if you have a lot of meetings to move, this will be a pain, but it does work.
Note: before you do this, make sure you are an "owner" of the calendars(s) you want to move meetings to (or otherwise have access), and are subscribed to those calendars.

  • Copying Events from Subscribed Calendars

I'm making the switch from Google calendar to all iCloud. One thing I miss from Google is being able to select an event from a calendar that I'm subscribed to and then copy that to my default calendar. I subscribe to multiple calendars and I don't need all the events from those calendars on mine. So I would periodically check those calendars and copy the events that I needed back to my calendar and then hide the subscribed ones. Unless I'm missing it, I haven't found a way to do that. Any ideas?

Figured it out all on my own. The easiest way to do it is to select the event, click and drag it up to the "calendars" box at the top left of iCal and then drop it into the appropriate calendar. It looks like it won't copy repeats, so if it is a repeating event you will have to manually put that in there.

  • Can the ipad reminders app import tasks from the calendar app so I can enter items once?

Can the ipad reminders app import tasks from the calendar app so I can enter items once?

Depends on an account. The Tasks in Exchange will populate Reminders, and you can use Reminders in iCloud, but natively entering something in Calendar does not reflect in Reminders.

  • How do i display events from different calendars side by side and not on top of each other

I must have something set up wrong on one of my calendars on my macbook pro 10.7. On one of the calendars, the events do not make space for an event from another calendar so I can see both events sidi by side in a week or day view.
When I view from the web icloud, it looks right:

    Hi Hotch,
I have been having the exact same problem, however, I am not seeing your graphic. From your description, though, I can tell we have the same problem. This has only become a problem since migrating everything over to iCloud and since upgrading to Lion.
Can anyone help us out there?!?!?!?!?

  • How can i import my calendar events from google calendar to ical?

how can i import my calendar events from google calendar to ical?

To set up CalDAV support for Google Calendar in Apple's iCal, follow these steps:
Open Apple iCal, go to Preferences and then the Accounts tab.
Click on the + button to add an account.
In the box that pops up, enter a description for the account and your Google Account username and password.
Under Server Options, add the following URL:
    https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user//www.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user
Replace '[email protected]' with the email address that you use to log in to Calendar. Make sure to include the '@domain.com' portion (which is @gmail.com for Gmail users) in this section.
DO NOT substitute your username for 'user' at the end of the URL.
Leave the Use Kerberos v5 for authentication option unchecked.
    Click Add.
Under the Delegation tab, select the calendars you'd like to add to iCal by checking the boxes next to them. You may need to hit refresh to get the latest list of calendars.
Add your email address to your Address Book card by selecting Add Email. You'll be prompted to add your email address only if your address is not already in your Address Book.
You won't be able to invite or email guests to Google Calendar events within iCal if your address is not in your Address Book.
Your Google Calendar will now appear in iCal's list of calendars, and changes you make to your Google Calendar in iCal will be reflected when you sign in to Google Calendar.
Event information will automatically refresh every five minutes. You can change this interval by opening the iCal > Preferences > Accounts menu and selecting a new refresh interval under the 'Refresh calendars' drop-down. Keep in mind you can also force a refresh by selecting a calendar and pressing the Apple and R keys at the same time.
Calendars that are checked but disabled have already been added to iCal - you can remove them from within iCal.

  • Merging events from multiple calendars into one calendar

I am using iCal version 2.0.5 on Mac OS 10.4.11.
Right now, there are 3 separate calendars setup in iCal: Personal, Home and Unfiled. What I would like to do is merge all of the events from these calendars into the Personal calendar and then delete the other two calendars (Home and Unfiled). Is there any trick to easily doing this?
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    Andrew,
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Before you do anything else, use iCal>File>Back up Database..., and save the backup to your Desktop.
Then use iCal>File>Export... for the Calendars that you want to merge into "Personal", and then delete Home/Unfiled from your CALENDARS sources pane.
Next click on the exported copies on the Desktop and you will be presented with an "Add Events" window which will allow you to choose "Import" into the Personal Calendar.
If everything is working as desired use Back up Database... for the new setup.

  • Recover events from a Calendar on iPad to Mac

    Bonjour tout le monde,
I have jsut upgraded to the Mountain Lion and had some toubles with Reminders deleting all of my events in my calendar.  (see the discussion here https://discussions.apple.com/message/19228636#19228636). Now for some reason it has deleted them from my iCloud, my iPhone, and my MBP... but oddly enough, they are all there sitting on my iPad.  I want to know if I can get them off there somehow and put them back into my MBP.
I can't remember if I sync with wifi on my iPad, I think so... but I've not opended iTunes since because I'm scared it could actuvate an automatic sync and lose the info.
    Any help would be appricated.

Isn't the error message displayed by iTunes?  Can you check your Mac to see if there are actually duplicate files?
I'd recommend searching for an answer in the Apple Support Communities.

Please do let us know if the problem has started since the new update to Adobe Reader (version 11.3.0 or 11.3.1).  Thank you.

  • IPhone 2.2.1 and Exchange Calendar events no more???

    Dear all,
Is anyone having the same problem as me? Recently updated my iphone to 2.2.1, deleted my Exchange account on the iphone (as wanted to start fresh) and re-setup using the same details. Has downloaded my mail and contacts but none of my exchange calendar entries has appeared???? Any ideas?
    Cheers
    Paul

Thanks for the reply. I did turn off then on calendars on the iphone - this seemed to sync a new entry I placed in OWA, yet when I moved this to the following day, it hasn't updated.

  • ICal move events from one calendar to another with AppleScript

I made an AppleScript to clean up my calendars and thought I would share. My iMac had a calendar called "Home" and my iPhone had a default calendar "Calendar" so I ended up with all of my events spread across two calendars. Decide to clean up and move everything to one calendar.
This script is admittedly not very efficient. The nested repeat loops means it takes a while to run. Feel free to take this as a start point. I have it checking each property for missing value before adding it to avoid errors. I could have added a line to delete the old event after creating the copy, but I was just deleting the whole old calendar after the script ran.
I hope this is helpful to someone. Oh, this was created under Snow Leopard so if you are in Lion you might need to tweak things. I don't know how much the scripting library has changed.

So normally it should just tranfer that row from one table to another. But it doesn't !
Knowing that I cannot create a row in the table wouter_published_posts(I can just move rows from the add_post table to the wouter_published_posts table), It should be inpossible that twice the ID appears. But yet he keeps trowing errors...

  • How do I delete an event from my calendar?

I am having trouble deleting events off of my calendar

    Hi,
I was facing the same problem. In the calendars it will show an indication as from which calendar is it picking it from. For example, if you have synced 2 or more calendars in your iPhone or iPad, you can choose to indicate them through a different color dots that appear next to calendar name if you click on an event. From this you will get to know form where it is picking up the data from. If it is picking from iCloud, the solution is login to iCloud using your computer and delete the event in the iCloud. After doing this go to settings, iCloud. Under iCloud just turn off the calendar option. You will get an option to delete or keep. Select delete. Later turn it on again. Now the event that you deleted from iCloud will go away.
