IPad & iPhone share real time video?

Sort of the title says it all.  I'm trying to make video with the new iPad's rear camera but I can't really aim at myself.  I have iPhone4 so I kind of got thinking if there's any way to share what my iPad sees with my iPhone.  Are there any solution for this?  Thanks!

Thanks Jonathan for the idea
Sure.  Mirror would definitely work if I'm standing at the reach of the mirror & my iPad.  But sometimes I can't have the space to setup the mirror behind the iPad and see the whole screen.  I'm hoping someone has more effective solution than a mirror.

  • WVC80N real-time video streaming to TV

I am very happy with WVC80N camera. It is a great product! Just one thing I'm yet to figure out: Is there a way to view the real-time video feed from the camera directly on a TV? Or, through XBOX? (I don't want to hookup the computer to theTV)

Well the scenario that you explained, technically it is possible but it is not tested. Just it requires proper add-ons for the browser used in the T.V. Or in Xbox. It has the ability to view live video on your cell phones. The image isn’t amazing, but you can no doubt see whats going on. It’s all that much better with a bigger screen and makes watching over your home or office super quick and easy.

  • Streaming Real time video...

    Hi,
I'm now doing a project that requires me to stream real time video onto the web.. is this possible? Is there any simple solutions around.. or is there any web site where I can look for these informations?
    Thanks
    Justin

    Justin,
You will find your answer here:

This should definetly help you out
    Josh
    Good Luck
p.s. have you used multicasting before?

  • When I'm on an app, on iso7.1 it will now show the "iPad/iphone" sign the time and the battery whilst running in an app. does anyone know how to get rid of that as its effecting the games i play.

when I'm on an app, on iso7.1 it will now show the "iPad/iphone" sign - the time - and the battery whilst running in an app. does anyone know how to get rid of that as its effecting the games i play.

If you can hide the status bar, it would be an option inside the app. I have one or two apps where that is an option but in most apps it is not.

  • Real time video editing, is possible?

Hi to all, first of all thanks for reading this post.
I would want to know if it`s possible to apply some effects (mostly twixtor, some warp stabilizer, color correction) and see the result (maybe at lower resolution, 1/2,1/4 resolution) without rendering, but fluid (to verify the image goes accordingly with the audio, to see the speed change is adecuate with twixtor, etc...)
I have a laptop  that is supposed to be powerful: i7-4800mq, 16 GB of RAM, GTX765M, and (maybe it´s the reason I don´t see the expected result) a 7200rpm hard disk (SATA 3GB/s, with 64 GB SSD catching mSATA)
I use video primarily recorded from a gopro 3 black, and use premiere pro cs6, after effects. 1080, 60 fps.
I want to change my computer because I have to do a lot of editing of short videos, lot of twixtor, and can´t wait to renderize every time I change something and the bar goes from green/yellow to red.
    I would want to know:
-if this is normal, with my computer
-If you where to going to buy a computer, instead of asking which component you should buy (of course you can), what do you think about these two:
    option 1:
    i7-4790K 4.0Ghz
MSI GeForce GTX 980 Twin Frozr V OC 4GB GDDR5
Motherboard: MSI Z97 Gaming 9 ACK
    Hard disk:
    Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 3TB SATA3 64MB
    Samsung 840 Evo SSD Series 500GB SATA3 (250GB x2 in raid 0)
    Kingston HyperX Savage DDR3 2400 PC3-19200 16GB 2x8GB CL11
    price: around 2100 euro
    option 2:
    i7 4790K
    2x GTX760 2GB GDDR5
    Motherboard: GA-Z97X-SLI
    Hard disk:
    - 2x HDD 1TB 7200rpm Seagate ST1000DM003
    - 2x SSD 120GB Kingston V300
    16GB DDR3 1600MHz (2x8GB) HyperX Fury Blue Series HX316C10FK2/16
    price: around 1600 euro
I know I can use proxyes but I think proxyes with less resolution give problems with warp stabilizer and with less fps give problems with twixtor.
Do you think I will be capable to do real time video editing with these computers? Thank you very much!

....read about your laptop....the good, the bad, and the ugly.
...ugly first : you are right ...16 GB is the max memory that can go in your machine.....I believe that will hamper performance  with some heavy timelines, but, not sure. My laptop could take 32GB, but, 2 of the 4 slots are inaccessible, so I wound up with 24GB. I have seen the memory usage swing up to 20GB during certain tasks, but, not most of the time.
...good : your CPU and GPU are FINE.....even BETTER when you over clock the GPU "memory clock" with the free "MSI Afterburner " utility...I go "plus 903 Mhz"
...the BAD : its NOT hopeless, however. Your CURRENT storage configuration is a DISASTER !!!....a definite bottleneck which will cause huge problems with Premiere Pro.  The GOOD news is that it can be EASILY fixed. RIGHT NOW, you have a single 7200 rpm HDD with EVERYTHING on it and a SMALL mSATA SSD acting as a "Cache" for the hard drive, to help speed it up. That is effectively having just ONE drive, and that is below spec for PPro, which needs TWO separate drives as a minimum....( with the now way higher speeds of SSDs, some argue 2 drives are NOT really needed, if ONE is fast enough....but, thats not altogether true).
Easy solution : replace the current mSATA 64 GB SSD with a crucial M550 mSATA SSD, ( ONLY Samsung Pros or Crucial M550s are recommended for use in machines doing video editing...there are reasons for this.....the 550s are WAY cheaper and only SLIGHTLY behind in performance.....hardly noticeable. ( $150 for 256GB, $250 for 512GB at B and H )
If you have the Windows disk, you can do a fresh Windows install on the new, fast SSD. If no disk, just CLONE your existing HDD "image" onto the new SSD...( provided it will FIT !! ) . Now the new mSATA will be your FAST boot drive !!!.....reading and writing at over 500MB/sec instead of the SLOW HDD running at 120MB down to 60 MB/sec with all the LATENCY and FILL degradation !! On this mSATA, you would have OS,programs, and Windows page file ONLY....( although if you get the 512GB SSD, you can experiment using the extra space for all cache files, previews, and exports).
NEXT.....take out the 7200rpm drive...replace it with another 2.5 inch Crucial M550 SSD !!!.....go all the way up to 1TB if you want !!, ( $450), or, at least 512GB. Place ALL other files here
Using these two new SSDs will MASSIVELY improve your performance with PPro......but WAIT !!!.......THERE'S MORE !!!
You have OTHER storage options as well. If you really want to go nuts, you can REMOVE the DVD drive, and use THAT SATA port for a THIRD SSD drive. I have read where someone used an M.2 drive as the boot drive, then created a RAID 0 with the now TWO 2.5" SSDs in the machine....( your BIOS allows it,I think) That would give you a huge "D" drive volume running at OVER 1GB/sec. for serving up all your media. project files and all else. There are plenty of "how to" videos for YOUR machine on youtube, as well as forums like "notebook review" where owner's describe upgrades they've done.
Finally, you have a "mini-display port " AND a HDMI 1.4 socket. On MY laptop , I have the EXACT same mini-display port connector, but, it is called "Thunderbolt". I have read that with THIS connector, "Thunderbolt" and "mini-display port" are INTERCHANGEABLE !!! What it REALLY is , is a high speed data connection that is FULL-DUPLEX, ( UNLIKE SATA which cannot write while reading and vice-versa). Your version is probably 1.1...like mine. The newer 1.2 displayport connection can handle 4K .  The 1.1 speed is actually about 8Gbits/sec, ( or, 1 GB per second BOTH WAYS). This means it MAY be possible to connect a high speed thunderbolt storage device to that port....I am NOT sure....but I think you CAN because the HDMI 1.4 port handles my 2560x1440p IPS monitor at full resolution...yours should ,too. However, the mini-display port  may be configured for video screens only without a "Thunderbolt" driver....I am not sure. Thunderbolt storage is expensive and not well developed yet.
You may ALSO us the USB 3 external port to get a decent speed for external storage. What I do is use a cheap $30 USB3 dock, that has both 2.5" and 3.5" slots in it. THEN, you can plug SSDs,or,HDDs in to it....changing them like "cartridges"....you will get up to 220MB/sec using SSDs in that, and normal 100-120MB/sec with a 7200rpm HDD.Its great for putting previews, cache files on....those are all easily recreated by premiere if ever lost or erased.
So, SPEED up your storage configuration and you should be greatly improved. I found an AWESOME 27" IPS monitor on sale for only $299 that has the WQHD 2560x1440p resolution that would be KILLER hooked up to your laptop, which would EASILY drive it. The pixel density is AMAZING......1440p videos look like 4k on it !!...that's ANOTHER option you have.

  • IPhone NSDate real time accuracy

How close to real world time is NSDate on the iPhone?
More specifically if I want to co-ordinate applications on two iPhones based on real world times; e.g. start something at 13:00.00; what is the maximum difference in NSDate times that I could expect between any two iPhones..
The application I'm looking at is quite simple, a distributed stop watch, and requires that I can synchronize applications running on different iPhones to better than 10 milli-seconds.
Thanks in advance if anyone has any comments... or if you can suggest something more better to use than NSDate.
    [email protected]

My original thought for using the iPhone was hey it has GPS... so it should have a highly accurate idea of what the time is... I can therefore build a distributed stopwatch. (Useful if you want to time races where the start and finish and any intermediate timing points are not co-located or close.) I'm absolutely convinced that the iPhone is capable of this. But just not certain the appropriate info is available easily.
I haven't been able to confirm or deny if a time stamp of suitable accuracy is included in the CLLocationManager info. I'm sure that the GPS hardware knows it but is it delivering it up and if it is, then does CLLocationManager make it available. Most of the docs talk of accuracy appears to be WRT to location not time... I'm not sure that the library designers thought that an accurate time reference would be nice to have.
I asked about NSDate because the Apple documenation for it mentions NTP (Network Time Protocol.) But I can't find an specific mention of how NSDate is implemented on the iPhone.
If memory serves, I think that a reasonably accurate time reference is also available via GSM.. But again, can't find any mention if that is available anywhere..
And as a final note, any search with the term "accuracy" is almost useless as you get hundreds of hits for ".... TO THIS DOCUMENT, ITS QUALITY, ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, OR...." If they are going to put that in hundreds of documents, then perhaps they should teach their indexing engine to ignore it...

  • Ipad/iphone shifts calendar times +1hr after syncing with Outlook or ical

    Hi,
I am having a problem when I sync my (PC) outlook calendar to my iphone(OS4.1) or ipad.(And my wife is having exactly the same problem when she syncs her iphone/ipad with her macbook pro (she uses ical/snow leopard)).
I live in a time zone that is GMT +3hrs. There is no summer time change here. Both devices are set to GMT +3Hrs with no summer time changes / daylight savings.
Every month I upload a calendar electronically to Outlook (from a program called Roster2Outlook) and occasionally enter some data into it manually on my PC and on my iphone/ipad.
    The problem is this:-
When I sync my PC with my iphone/ipad the times on the iphone/ipad are always 1 hour later than displayed on my calendar in outlook on my PC. I then have to modify the times on my iphone and take off 1hour. If I enter an event on my iphone it appears in my calendar in Outlook 1 hour earlier (after a sync).
I get several monthly changes to my schedule and then when I update my outlook calender and sync it to my iphone again, all the times appear 1Hr later on my iphone and have to be manually adjusted.
This may seem trivial, but when one event is added on one device and it shows up at a different time on another device, it gets very confussing, as you never know which time is correct in your calendar, as it depends on which device you entered it and whether you synced it or not! I am tearing my hair out.
I also sync my calandar to my ipad, which appears to be doing the same thing.
So, to cut a long story short, any idea's why this is happening and how to fix it? (Please don't tell me I have the wrong time zone set on a device - because I haven't - they are all on the same time zone!)
I did have an idea that I could "shift" the calendar that I electronically upload to Outlook back by 1 Hour, so that the times would be 1Hr wrong in outlook but correct on my iphone and ipad (the devices that I predominantly use) but this still doesn't solve the problem of it being a bodge!
Any ideas / solutions much appreciated. Anyone else having this problem?
    Please help!
    Cheers,
    i eye.

I figured out my iPad sync issue. First of all, I swore up and down I had all my time zone preferences set correctly in both google calendar and on my iPad. I was wrong.
There are two places in google calendar that can cause an issue:
    (1) Settings>Calendar Settings>General
    (2) Settings>Calendar Settings>Calendars>[Individual Calendar]
There are two places on the iPad to check:
    (1) Settings>General>Date & Time (however I think this might not do anything because.....)
    (2) Settings>Mail, Contacts, Calendars>Calendars>Time Zone Support (this was the elusive one for me)
But It's fixed now and I'm happy.

  • Extract single colour plane in real-time video

I have used Extract Single Colour Plane VI to process a running video as shown below:
However the video freezes whenever I activate this case structure. Is there any way I can perform the single colour plane processing while the video is running?
    Attachments:
Extract Single Colour Plane.png ‏9 KB

The function "Extract Single Colour Pane" is not the reason why your video freezes. Even with an large image it just takes about 20ms (of course this is system dependent too) which would still enable you to play your video with rates of about 50 frames per second.
However, when "activating" this case structure your VI jumps into a untimed while loop and does the colour pane extraction for the same image as long as you "deactivate" the loop.
    You should reconsider your architecture!

  • Video screen capture of real-time iPhone activity

I'd like to be able to record my activities on the iPhone screen, real time, to be used in a video presentation. Is this possible?  Are there extra pieces of hardware that I need? Do I have to somehow connect it with my TV, or is there something simpler where I hook it up to my Mac?
For example, you know those Angry Birds walk-throughs on YouTube? How do I go about creating something like that, for whatever's onscreen on my iPhone?

  • Simulate real time recording...

    Hi,
I know with CP we can do real time video mode recording, but is there a good way of simulating a video demo?
For example, I may have a dynamically changing list of names etc when I am scrolling though the phonebook of a particular application,
I type a W, then a filter on the phonebook will start searching for names beginning with W and so on, so using still shots, is there a way to simulate that without using video demo mode??
    Any ideas?
And have I explained this clear enough?
    Cheers
    Rossco

You are probably looking for Full Motion Recording solution here. We have many such scenarios and I haven't seen FMR working in these cases (It works most consistently when we drag and drop an object from one part of the screen to another).
To simulate this, we record the real-time search results by pressing "Print Screen" on our keyboard.(basically force capture the screenshot).
