Ipad is not showing in itunes

Why won't my third generation Ipad show in itunes. I just purchased a new hardware for my macbook pro & also purchased some other items from the app store, now I want to sync them to my ipad & it wont show up in itunes. What to do?

Not trying to start any argument here, but if you would have checked the requirements for using an iPad with iTunes on a computer, you would have seen that Windows 8 is not supported.

It may have something to do with a conflict with any antivirus or security software that you may be running. I don't know if you've read this, but here is Apple's support article for Windows. You say you keep fixing the problem - I assume you mean by reinstalling iTunes?

My iPod nano and iPad are not showing on iTunes

Hi, I have an iPod nano 6g and an iPad that were working just finr a couple of days ago. Now my iTuns is not recognizing either of them ! I tried every solution possible in the Support section but nothing worked.
The thing I noticed while trying to fix this issue is that the "Apple Mobile Device Driver" in the Device Manager has a yellow triangle next to it. In this mode almost nothing happens when I plug in the iPod besides the ring tone, it does not appear neither in the iTunes nor in My computer. And nothing happens in my iPod itself as it doesn't show the "connecting" screen
When I choose "Update the driver" and I let it update automatically, it's title change from "Apple Mobile Device Driver" to "USB Mass Storage Device" and it will show a yellow mark too as soon as I oppen the iTunes. The iPod starts showing in My computer and the "connecting" screen appears in the iPod but my iTunes shows me this message:
And then automatically the "disconnecting" screen shows on my iPod.
When trying to change back to "Apple Mobile Device Driver" my windows tells that the driver is not digitally signed.
But even if I chose it it will go back to the state where my iPod will not show on my computer
The iPad however is not showing any sign of activity whatsoever, its almost like I didn't plug anything if not for the ring tone. It doesn't even show up on the Device manager !
I tried compleately removing then reinstalling iTunes several time but it didn't solve the issue. I Also tried dissabling all other programes to look for conflicts but that didn't help either :l

I tried every solution possible in the Support section but nothing worked.

IPad books not showing in iTunes wish list

Some time ago I added some iPad only books to my iTunes wish list, however they do not show up.
They are still included in the count of items in my wish list and the price to buy all but I can't see them at all.
Does anyone know how to either view them or clear my wish list?

Just want to bump this topic. I've got the same issue: added some books to my Wish List in the iTunes Store via the iTunes app on my MacBook, and they don't show up when I look at the Wish List. I then deleted every item in the Wish List, but the Wish List still lists two items even though the Wish List is empty. There doesn't appear to be any way to delete items in the Wish List if you can't see them. Weird!

My "Purchased on iPad" playlist is missing from the "Store" section on the left in iTunes. Is there a way to put it back?

I received a very helpful email response from leaonmichae (Thanks so much!) but it's not showing up for me when I view this thread. When I click the email link to view this discussion I get a message saying, "Unauthorized. It appears you're not allowed to view what you requested. You might contact your administrator if you think this is a mistake." Any idea what this is all about?
Let me clarify my problem, The response was about transferring sones from my iPod to my iTunes. These songs are not missing from iTunes. They are in iTunes -- they just aren't in this specific iTunes playlist anymore. but they are in this playlist on my iPod.
Given this new info, any thoughts on solving this problem? Thanks for any help.
(BTW, the info leaonmichae provided will really help me with a long standing problem, how to transfer my iTunes library from my Desktop to Notebook computer. Thanks again for that. :-). Also, after posting this I still only see my two messages with no other responses.

I tried to upgrade my ipad from 4.3.3 t o6.0 and now my ipad only shows anusb cable with an arrow to the itunes logo and my device does not appear in itunes when I connect it.

i had rated som song as one star in my iphone, so when i connect to itunes, the rating should show, [when i select the music of my iphone in itunes]
i used to have it in old release but now i dont know why does not show .
i even made smart list when all music with one star will go to the list
but i can see the list in iphone but not in itunes when i connect it, [smart List is empty].
can please someone tell me why ??!!!
i manage my music manually, i dont like to sync. [it work before so am sure there is a way]
so please tell me how to get the rating when i connect my iphone .

IPad does not show in iTunes devices

I wanted to install iOS 4.2 but cannot get my iPad recognized on iTunes.
When I plugged the iPad into the MBP I get an OK tone as usual.
It has been connected successfully in the past.
I have restarted both my MacBook Pro and iTunes in different orders.
My AppleTV shows up on devices every time.

I have tried everything and still iTunes will not recognize the iPad. From the other complaints it seems this is a big problem for many of us.
My problems started when the iTunes v10 was introduced. I still use 9.2.1. I am waiting because I have an AppleTV1 and wanted to see how it effects others with the first version. I really like my older AppleTV and have many items loaded.

After the last iTunes update my iPad and touch would not be recognized anymore in iTunes. I have tried all recommendations suggested. Not sure what happened? The only other thing I noticed was that neither the iPad or the touch were able to update the last time. This was before I updated iTunes.

Two very generic fixes/thoughts ..
Reboot your computer and reboot both devices and try again.
Disable antivirus software and try again.

Finally got itunes updated (after fixing the 2330 error) now my ipad is not showing in itunes...help!

I had registry issues which were not allowing itunes to update. Finally got that fixed and now have the most current version of itunes on my PC. Now a new issue...itunes is not recognizing that the ipad is pulled into the PC. Help!
