IPad is really lagging and slow to respond

Since I updated to the OS7.2 my iPad is so slow to respond to touching and swiping. Is anyone else having the problem?

reset all settings
settings-general-reset-reset all settings
now reconnect to wifi
settings- wifi- click network name- enter password - join
if issue persist back up and restore as new via iTunes

Not enough free space on the startup disk can slow the system down.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop.
Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

Starting up in Safe Mode deletes system caches that can help also. Keep in mind a Safe Mode boot takes longer then a normal boot so be patient. Once you see the Desktop, click the Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click Restart.
And disabling the resume feature can help.
Open System Preferences > General. Deselect: Reopen windows when quitting and re-opening apps

Lenovo a7000 Messaging app lagging and slowness issue

Hi friends , i do have Lenovo a7000 . since the 1st update i am facing a severe problem of messaging apps lagging and taking too much time to open the messaging app . I found out the Issue of this problem that since they introduced star marke near the name of the thread this problem started and since then this problem persists . so if any one if still facing this issue please do tell me . and lenovo JAMEZ Please provide a solution to this issue as it takes to much time to open banking secure sms which gives us very less time to enter authentication code. Lenovo team please remove that Star near messaging thread nad please help us out as now a days all the banks do send authentication codes with a limited time to enter it. so James and lenovo team please resolve the isse ASAP . and I request other users who have same problem to post here so that we can know how many people are affected.

Editing my library, lags and slows up the proccess

while editing my library I find that the system lags and it becomes very frustrating when I have to wait for the system to do what I need it to do. I have one of macs most recent and their more powerful units. I do have quite an extensive music library that I am always trying to work with and get as much info on it as possible. I am becoming disappointed with how things are going and even concidering finding another media format. this is not what I prefer, but if I am unable to come to a good resolution for this I don't see a choice. any answers would be greatly appreciated.

Since you can click on it to delete it give this a try: Try the following:
1 - launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
2 - Run Option #4, Rebuild Database, followed by Option #1 if needed.
If that doesn't fix the problem continue with:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button,
and select the library you want to add from those in the selection window.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the Library ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note 1: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments. However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. (This is the downside to the method but it should give you functioning library with no bad actors in it.)
Note 2: Your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.

HP officejet pro 8100 not printing documents when asked, and slow to respond.

My Officejet Pro 8100 has allways been used wireless. It allways had a lag when asked to print and producing the document. Often the unable to connect to printer message comes up, then shortly latter it started to print.
We have now switched to Vergin Media ISP. The printere was set up to the new network as before no problem. The router is lacated downstairs by by our TV where the cable enters the house. Our 2 pc's are now wireless due to this (one windows XP and one Windows 7). Then there's Ipads etc.
Conectivity is not a problem the pcs are located in our study with the printer upstairs. My Ipad works in the Garden so theres plenty of range. All devices are on the same conection.
The problem with slow printing is now worse. Ask to print and often nothing happens. Switch printer off/on and it may print the last comand of not. It may accept the next command to print or not. Indescrimnently it may print 'misssed prints' at any time.
Basically it cannot be relied on to print when asked to, really frustrating!! The printers wireless indicator is lit its conected to the network. Any ideas as this is a real pain. Remote printing from a phone is a no go as it probably wont happen.
We need to print and it happen.

I understand that this issue began with your original router and now is occuring with your new network. I am going to run you through some troubleshooting steps below to resolve this issue.
Step 1: Run Print and Scan Doctor:
To verify that your printer is properly detected on your Windows XP and Windows 7 computers I would like you to download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. This Tool will run on your computers and 'fix printing' issues for you. Should any driver, connection, or software conflict be found than the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool will attempt to resolve those conflicts for you.
Please click here to download the HP Print and Scan Doctor Tool. Please download this Tool on your Windows XP and Windows 7 computers.
Once the Tool has completed, please test printing again. Should the issue persist, please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Powercycle Network:
First, unplug the power cable to your Router
Once your Router is unplugged, turn off your printer
Next, shut down your computer
After 30 seconds to 1 minutes, plug your Router back in
Next, turn on your printer
Turn on the computer
After a few minutes the internet connection will return. Please check on your Windows computers and ensure that you're able to browse to websites before continuing. Once the network is up and running again please test printing to check the printing speeds.
Should the issue persist, please proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Update Firmware:
There is chance that corrupted programming in your printer could be causing the slow printing issue. Therefore, I am going to have you update the Firmware Version on your printer.
Please click here to download the latest programming on your printer. Once the website opens select the Download button on the top left. Follow any onscreen instructions to send the Firmware Update to the printer. This update can be run from either the Windows XP or Windows 7 computers.
Please test printing again to verify if everything is now working as it should be.

IOS 8.1.2 Ipad mini 2 Laging and slower screen rotation

I have just updated my brand new iPad mini 2 with IOS 8.1.2 and the screen rotation became slower ,at the lock screen it became more obvious it takes 1-5 seconds to rotate and the "slide to unlock" slider animation is freezing and lagging ,at the application screen takes 1-3 seconds ,the problem goes when I restart the device ,How Can I solve this problem .

Good morning , after updating in September my ipad to ios 8 , I have a device unusable.
Continuous blocks of the keyboard , slow applications , safari crash frequently.
Is not possible to have a similar bad situation.
I am very angry because is not possible go back to ios7.
I was go to an apple store but them was told that is not possible do anything.
I spent 400 € 1 year ago and now I have a device unusable.

When you say restore with iTunes do you mean "restore to Factory"? A simple restore does not replace the iOS image. A restore to Factory will reload the iOS software..
When you experience keyboard lags these are likely caused by a high priority system activity which is abnormally constantly running. This could be being provoked by some app you are using.

Why does my iPhone become so lag and slow after downloading iOS 8?

My iPhone 5S and iPad Mini Retina Display become so lag after after downloading iOS 8. When i open an app or press any button, it response very slow. For instance, opening a Facebook app take about 30s for it to load, answering a phone call take half a seconds to response. Not only that, my iPad keep restarting when I am FaceTime-ing about 3 minutes. This update has got me so frustrated! It is so unstable!

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Scrolling is really laggy and slow

For a week or so I've noticed that my scrolling is really slow and laggy on some sites. A site most often visited that makes my scrolling really slow is youtube. Has anyone found a solution to fix this? Was it maybe due to an update?

User Hakaitz of the Apple Support Communities has worked out a solution, that has helped me getting my old Mac performance back. It involves installing the graphics drivers from Snow Leopard in Lion.
This performance bug really annoyed me to no ends... Here's what user Hakaitz says in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3198002?start=45&tstart=0:

I just load with kext helper, the Snow Leopard Kexts from version 10.6.2 for the Radeon.
End of stutters on laggy animations on any version of lion. Works on 7.1 and 8.1 imacs (at least).

How to use ONLY RADEON 2600 USERS:
execute kext helper
drag and drop this files ONLY:
ATIFramebuffer.kext
ATISupport.kext
ATI2600Controller.kext
put your admin password and click on "easy install". I tooks a while to do the work. When finished, reboot (the kext helper aaaaalways hangs, its normal.
After that reboot your computer wont stutter anymore.

Did you try rebooting the iPad? You will need to have some battery power for this.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

My iPad 2 is jumpy and slow

After doing the os8 update, the closing of apps is looking stiff and jumpy, I don't have the patience to wait for pages to load or they just won't load. My iPad feels like has become a dinosaur and it isn't that old. wth.

eitehr is possible. You could have jarred something loose when you dropped it. or it could just be a coincidence.
What I would do, while it functions, do a full backup of your data or get anything off it you just can't lose. You then face the choice of buying an out of warranty replacement, which starts at 249 for an iPad 2. Or buy yourself a newer model.
It's probably just a matter of time before it dies totally

Windows 8 lagging and slow response but CPU never above 33%

Hello, I have an up-to-date windows 8.1 running on a dell inspiron 1520 laptop with a T7100 cpu with 4gb memory and an ssd hard drive. My computer frequently lags even with just browsing with IE11 - I can even out type it sometimes - however
when I look at the task manager during these periods the cpu utilization never exceeds 33% and the memory utilization never exceeds 66%. Disk and network utilization are always low. I suspect the bottleneck is the cpu and I wonder why the utilization seems
to max at 33% ?

What type of problems are you getting. I noticed performance issues in 8.1 but couldn't run repair as it claimed files were missing. Win10 update didn't work so had to do a clean install which seems to have improved things.

Xperia z gone really laggy and slow suddenly

Hi, ive been using my xperia z with kitkat for a while now and suddenly its become very slow and laggy. Even after complete reset twice, its still the same. As im typing this on the xperia z. The letters come on screen a second after i type. Thia happens in every app i use. Scrolling gone laggy as well.
Another thing i noticed is when i watch a youtube video which has been embedded in artical for example some articles on feedly. Video has gone laggy there as well, i have to put it to full screen for it to play smoothly. It was perfectly fine before.
In conclusion, tbe whole phone has gone slow and laggy and even a factory reset doesnt fix it. What cN i do?

Hello, I'm having the same problem. It's laggy, and booting takes a while, when my phone has booted it gives a black screen for 2 mins. or something like that, when I boot to safe mode I still have the problems, it's a little less than when not booting to safe mode but it's still slow and laggy even though I just did a clean install using Flashtool and XperiFirm. EDIT: I did a clean install using XperiFirm and Flashtool a couple of weeks ago, everything was fine, until last night. From one moment to another my phone was laggy, slow, and the apps crashed and took hours to open, if they did. Tried the same fresh install this morning, it's a little less laggy, but it's still laggy with the factory set apps. Before I did the fresh install I had my phone charged to 100% of battery, 6 hours later, the battery was at 37% even though I haven't used it at all.
