  • Ipad 2 stuck on home screen

My ipad 2 stuck on home screen. I've done a hard restart and connected through MacBook to iTunes but as I can't respond from ipad, not registering connection. Please help.

    Hello jopoppy68,
Thank you for providing the details of the issue you are experiencing with your iPad.
I recommend following the steps below for an issue like this (you can skip the steps you have already tried):
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

  • TS3992 iPad question stuck on the screen

"This iPad hasn't been backed up in 2 weeks.  Backups happen when this iPad is plugged in, locked , and connected to WiFi."
This box is stuck on my screen.  I can not do anything else.  Suggestions??
Can't tell you what IOS version either.
I can not shut the power down or anything.  Is there a manual way to power down and power up the iPad?
    Help

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.

  • Ipad mini stuck on white screen with apple logo

    No data will be lost.

  • Ipad upgrade stuck on restore screen

upgrade to iOS5 failed on the ipad.  iTunes shows the sycing and completes it but on the ipad, it requires configuring the system and gets stuck on the 'restore from backup' screen.  Connecting to iTunes and syncing is not recognized by the ipad. It is an endless loop of operations.  Result: the ipad never goes past the 'connect to iTunes'.
I am not inclined to configure it as a new ipad as I might not be able to access the apps I have backup up.
    My iphone4 upgraded fine.
    Any suggestions?
    Thank you!

You can recover all of your apps, music, etc. from iTunes assuming you've syced with it lately. However, you will loose all of the associated documents, preferences, and other settings for each App. I just went through this with my iPad 1.

  • IPad Air stuck in recovery screen after update. No reset possible

      Hello everyone,
I have searched the community for an answer but nothing fits really.
There are some threads regarding problems with the update to iOS 8.1 and screens stuck in recovery mode, but none of the suggested solutions work for me and I am really becoming desperate.
First of all, I backed up my iPad through iTunes (I have a PC).
Then I tried to update my iPad to IOS 8.1 through iTunes. During the update the message "an error has occured (3014)" appeared. I was prompted to set my iPad to recovery mode. So I clicked the butoon for this and after it was supposedly finished, the message "an error has occured (3014)" appeared.
So, i cannot update nor rest my iPad and the screen is stuck in "connected to iTunes" screen. I tried every possible reset (soft and hard) with no avail. I haven't used any thrird party software like tiny umbrella nor is my iPad jailbreaked or somesuch.
    Please help me
    Thanks in advance
    Luke

Connect your device to your computer, you will probably have to reset it there. You could then update it using your computer then try syncing everything back on to your device.

  • Ipad 2 stuck on help screen cycle (not apple logo)

After installing 7.0.3 my ipad2  has been stuck on the "Hello Screen" cycle. In other words the ipad synchs with no problem and when connected to the computer it shows the App's, music and pictures that it contains however, on the ipad itself it won't get past the welcome cycle. After the ipad synchs it goes back to the Hello screen then asked me about wifi and gps and then tells me that I need to set it up as a new ipad or run restore from icloud or my computer. When I restore from my computer (I don't use icloud) I end up back in the same place over and over and over.
I can set it up as a new ipad but as soon as I want to restore my files it goes back to the same pattern. Unfortunately I need to access the data stored in some of my app's. The crazy things is as stated above it looks like it is all on the ipad I just can't get past the Hello screen setup to get to it.
I have tried ever suggestion that is online
    Any ideas??????

  • HT4623 I clicked on an e-mail and now my IPad is stuck and the screen will not convert back to my e-mail list. How do I get the screen to go back to my original mail list?

My mail screen will not convert to the original mail listings. this happened when I clicked on an attachment sent with an e-mail. How can I get the mail screen unstuck?

    Hi donna Ifromwa,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If your iPad is unresponsive after clicking on an attachment and you cannot return to your email inbox, I recommend forcing the attachment and Mail app to close using this method:
    Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app's preview up to close it.
These steps come from this article:
iOS: Force an app to close
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137
If you still cannot access your email, restart your iPad next:
iOS: Turning off and on (restarting) and resetting

  • IPad 2 stuck in charging screen. Help Please.

I tried to restore my iPad 2 iOS 7.0.1 but while it was restoring the battery exhausted completely and now every time I tried to power it on it gets stuck in logo and then a loading sign appears and again the battery charging sign appears, Guys help plz get my iPad back to life.

You ignored the warning about making sure the iPad is connected to an external power source.
If an iPad (or any other device that contains user-updatable firmware) loses power during the update, the device is dead.  You can't fix this.  Only Apple can fix the problem by either  repairing (at your expense possibly if they find out what you did) or replacing the iPad.
    Jailbreaking voids your warranty.
