IPad lock screen renders wrong after reboot configurator 1.6

After much frustrating trial-and-error, I have finally got my iPads (20, ipad 2 and 3 mixed, for library checkout) to consistently restore properly. The only problem is that when you reboot the ipad the lock screen picture (installed through ocnfigurator) renders poorly. any ideas?

Similar problem here -- after a refresh the iPad wallpaper is crisp and centered, but then after rebooting the iPad the wallpaper is no longer centered and quite pixellated.

So your charger works on another device just not on your ipad?
if so, make an appointment at your local apple store and have them check it out.

Supervised iPad Lock Screen Picture

We have Supervised about 1000 iPads. They come with a green lock screen. The students have now put their own lock screen on the iPads, but when we connect the iPads back to the supervision computer (for updates, to add to apps, etc) the Lock Screen reverts to the Green one that was first added when the iPads were supervised.
Is there anyway of preventing the Lock Screen from reverting? We want the kids to put their picture with their name as the Lock Screen.

Lock screen sounds muted after Siri use?

I just discovered a weird thing that happens on the lock screen. I tested this on an iPhone 4S, iPod touch 5th gen and iPad 3rd gen, all giving the same results.
So here's the trick:
- Wake up device, then hold down home button to activate Siri
- Tap outside Siri area to close Siri
- Now, when you unlock your device, even with a passcode, the unlocking sounds won't sound. You can lock and unlock your device about 3-4 times after that and there will still be no sound. After a few goes, the sound suddenly returns.
It's just a little glitch I found. Help? Or tell Apple?

Yeah it does! Maybe you're not on iOS 6.1.3. I've also found it happens if you're typing, say in notes. The keyboard clicks don't sound, but eventually come back.
Are you speaking to Siri? Just activate it and tap out of it (not with home button) without saying anything.

I forgot my lock screen pass code and I can't get into my Ipad. I tried to restore my Ipad. It keeps asking me to turn off find my Iphone. I can't get into my Ipad to do that. Then I tried to get into my Iclouds account to erase my Ipad. But is not showing it says to add device. Please help.

Hi, what do you mean by "does not set password" ? and why are you experimenting with BB Protect... Flagging your device as stolen is a very serious thing (even by mistake)..Please clear few things:What OS you are on right now?..Did you recently upgraded your device software?..have you done the security wipe recently? 1. Set password for phone: Go to settings / Security and privacy / Device password / Set password for your device > scroll down to "Lock device after" option and set device lockout time. 2. do not enter lock screen: by that i think you mean phone is not locking itself,, first go to Settings / Advance Interaction / disable Hold to stay awake.... (i am not sure but you can try this) 3. turn on screen, camera icon will appears: "please provide the complete information"

Lock screen timeout issue after Lollipop upgrade - Galaxy S5

I have the S5, and a couple days before installing the Lollipop update I changed my screen timeout to 30 mins because I didn't want my screen to turn off while looking at pictures for long periods of time. I didn't end up changing the timeout back before the update, so after installing Lollipop, it applied the 30 min timeout to my lock screen and I am unable to change it to a lower setting. I've tried changing the timeout settings under display and all sorts of variations of settings in the phone, and it works when I am actually past the lock screen, but lock screen still doesn't turn off until 30 mins passes.
The main problem with this is when my phone gets notifications in the middle of the night, the phone stays on for the full 30 mins and drains my battery if it isn't plugged in. Is anyone else having this issue? I haven't tried reverting back to Kit Kat to see if I can fix the issue, but I was just curious if there was another way to get around it before going through all of that. It would be really helpful if they would just add a timeout feature specifically for the lock screen so that I could adjust it there...

This has been reported on some other blog sites I recall seeing and the quick fix was to disable your lock screen.

Is anyone else having issues getting screensavers and the lock screen to work after installing Mavericks?

I recently installed Mavericks and now my computer refuses to lock after sleep. Instead of a box that asks for a password to access the computer again, it just opens up back to where it was before sleep. In fact, I can't even get my screensaver to work. I have the screensaver set to one minute (to attempt to get it to work) and it wouldn't even come on. The sleep/lock screen is set to ask for password as soon as it's woken. Same goes for when I open my laptop after it's last use. No password, just instantly on. Is anyone else having this issue? If so, how can I fix it? Thanks!

Ipad lock screen and apple sign flashing back and forth.

When I went to use it this morning the white apple logo on a black screen is flashing back and forth with the lock screen. It won't turn off. I tired a hard reset and it didn't work either. I let it die completely and then plugged it back in. Nothing has worked. I am currently in the process of downloading iTunes onto my laptop but from there I'm not sure where to go.

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

My iPhone 5 lock screen is unresponsive after iOS 7 update.

It's weird because the new iOS worked for about a day then started to act laggy. When I restarted the phone the lock screen is totally unresponsive.

Oh, and yes, I have already done the hard reset trick of holding down power and home keys at same time.
Also tried to restore through iTunes but it won't let me because I have "find my phone" turned on and it tells me to turn it off before I can restore it. But it can't even get into the iPhone settings to make the changes.
I like the look and feel of iOS 7, but I wish it would actually work.

Why has my music controls in the locked screen stopped working after upgrading to ios. 7.0.2?

I cannot pause, advance track, etc with the in-control feature on ios 7. When my phone is locked and the music is playing, (ie. iTunes, podcasts or any other audio enabled app) the play controls do not work even when I access the in-control feature. I remember this working after I updated. Now it's not. Anyone else had this issues or know a fix?

This is an iPad user to user forum, so you are not addressing Apple. You probably forgot to connect something or damaged something.
Try this - Some iPad users have been able to revive their dropped iPad. Turn the iPad over and give it a HARD SLAP on the back. May take several slaps.

Screen is dim after reboot

I'm hoping someone can assist. I'm not the best at the Mac OS, but I'm having an issue where I had to reboot my Macbook Pro (2011). When it restarted, the screen is really dim and when I try to log in, I get some status bar at the bottom that only goes about 25% of the way, then the screen goes completely black. I have no idea what to do.

I have changed the the keyboard sleep button action to HIBERNATE. {control panel} {power options} {edit plan settings} {change advanced power settings} under {power buttons and lid}- select Sleep button action & set to Hibernate. I have also set the auto sleep timer to a longer time {1hour). So now when I use the keyboard sleep key, the computer hibernates instead of sleep. This requires a power button press to resume, but the screen brightness is normal and all is well. If an auto sleep has occured and the screen is dim--a hibernate cycle will restore brightness without rebooting. Hope this works for others".Source
