I BOUGHT IPAD 3 ON EBAY
SAID ITEM WAS FACTORY RESET
UPON DELIVERY I SET IT UP AND TESTED IT
WORKED AS EXPECTED,BUT THE DAMAGE TO CORNER WAS WORSE THAN PHOTO
I ERASED ALL DATA,AND RETURNED FOR A REFUND WHICH WAS ISSUED TO ME
SELLER EMAILED ME NEXT DAY SAYING.ASKING ME WHY I HAD LOCKED I PAD
I THOUGHT THAT BY ERASING ALL DATA IT WOULD BE CLEANED
THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME USING AN IPAD AND I AM UNSURE WHAT I MAY HAVE DONE
IS THERE A WAY TO FACTORY RESET IT

First, I am wondering how you erased all data. I hope it's not erasing all data manually. The correct way should be tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings. Confirm the action and let it to erase all data. During the process, you should choose to set your iPad as a new device when the corresponding prompt appears.
Second, are you sure that you've disabled 'Find My iPad'? Because if it's on, your iPad can be said is locked as well. You know, when 'Find My iPad' is on, nobody can do disable it except you. To disable 'Find My iPad', you should tap Settings > iCloud > swipe 'Find My iPad' to OFF.
Third, you're supposed to log out with your Apple ID. You know, when other people get your iPad, he or she is required to enter the right password to delete the account. You can do it easily when your Apple ID is kept logged in. Tap Settings > iCloud > scroll down and click 'Delete Account'.

I am having an issue with both Pages and Numbers on my iPad. Whenever I am at the document list page and use "edit" to make a copy of a document or delete it, the iPad locks up. Happens almost every time. Also happens on my iPhone but only once in a while. Thought of completely redoing the iPad, but if it happens on the phone as well, won't help. ???

You can turn Find My iPad 'off' by going to http://icloud.com and logging into your account, select the iPad from the device list in the 'Find My iPhone' section on that site, and 'remove from account'

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

If you restored the iPad to factory settings and the camera still locks up, you may have a hardware problem and it may be time to get Apple involved.
If it was just Skyoe, I would suggest deleting the app and reinstalling, but you can't delete FaceTime.
Can you use the camera otherwise - meaning to take photos and videos - front and back facing both work? -

Ipad locks while trying to delete aps
I have experienced this problem since the ios 8 update. The most recent update (8.1.2) did not correct the issue.
When I try to delete an app I press and hold until the x appears and all the apps start to wiggle, when I press on the app I wish to delete the ipad locks up, the aps keep wiggling but pressing on the x has no effect. about a third of the wiggling apps blink on and off of the screen and no other functions, buttons or swipes will work while this is happening. I have to reboot the ipad to get it working normally again. No issues otherwise, It is a 3rd generation model A1403, 16gb with cellular.Hey landscapr,
