IPad lost it's "touch" you can't turn it on because you can't slide the slider.  I did a simple reset, and then a full reinstall from iTunes - neither worked.  Any ideas?  We are a school so I can't even afford a "chat" with Apple.  So thank you.

Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. That will cost nothing and you will then know what the problem is and what alternatives you have for a fix.
