IPad mail: change font type?

Can I change the font type using mail on iPad 3?

Quite simply, no you cannot change the font. You can make the text bold, use italics or underline the text - but you cannot change the font.

  • How to change Font Type of the Title Text of a JFrame?

    Hi,
    I want to set a different Font Type for the Title text of the titlebar of my JFrame.
    Is it possible? Can anyone show me how if it is?
    Thanks.

    Michael,
    Thanks. It works!
    But there was a problem. I was not using the :-
    JFrame.setDefaultLookAndFeelDecorated(true);
    so I have to use it now.
    Is it possible to do it without the default decorated look and feel? Because the default LNF title bar has too much height and I am cramped for space.
    I know that's no excuse. I tried but it doesn't work.. I am using a extended JFrame like this:-
    class Testing extends JFrame
    public Testing()
    setSize(300,100);
    setLocation(400,200);
    Container container = getContentPane();
    /* add components to this container here */
    setVisible(true);
    When I use getComponent() for the container, I get an ArrayIndexOutOfBound Exception.
    When I set the argument to getComponent(0), the font in the title bar is not changed.
    What else should I do?
    Thanks.
    Niteen.

    Nothing's changed hardware-wise, I've been experiencing it since a re-install of Arch from the latest install media, both in Openbox and Xfce.
    I just found this thread, and I'm not sure if it's related, but it is similar since text that was not copied was pasted.  I've gone ahead and disabled TapButton 2 and 3.  I sure hope this is the solution
    If I experience it again I'll post, but in the meantime if anybody has had an issue very similar to this and has a solution other than to disable two and three finger tap, please post it.  Also, if you need config or log files, tell me.

  • How to change font type in java mail script?

    Hi,
    I wrote a bean shell script to send mail on particular event. I want mail message body text font style to be modified.
    Please provide help on this.
    Thanks,
    Saloni

    Hi Saloni ,
    You can add the text in the following way by using font tags for message body in your custom mail.
    Message msg = new MimeMessage(session);
    MimeMultipart mp = new MimeMultipart();
    MimeBodyPart mbp1= new MimeBodyPart();
    String htmlText = "<b> This is formatted</b>"+
    "<font size =\"5\" face=\"arial\" >This paragraph is in Arial, size 5</font>";
    mbp1.setContent(htmlText,"text/html");
    mp.addBodyPart(mbp1);
    msg.setContent(mp);
    It worked for me. Let me know if you face any issue.
    Regards,
    Uday.

  • Sending  Pages formatted document by apple mail changes font.

    I have an iMac 2.66 GHz, 4 GB RAM and using OS 10.6.2(SL) and iWork '09 & Apple's Mail App.
    A friend prepared a Pages document and sent it to me using Apple's Mail app.. He is using OS 10.5 and iWork '09. He told me that he used the Arial Font and all the Text & Images (using the Layout mode in Pages) looked fine on his computer (iMac). When I received his e-mail and opened his document, I notice that the document did not looked well. The text boxes were running into each other AND his original Arial Font had changed on my Desktop to Helvetica. BTW, I have used Helvetica in MY Pages documents in the past. I requested my friend to send me the same doc in PDF format.and it all came out just fine with proper spacings, etc. He also tried sending "compressing" the file via Finder menu: File>Compress(file name).pages,but results were as bad.
    Can you help explain why the changes?? Thanks, Bob

    I am not saying your friend is deceiving you or not to be trusted, just that +a lot+ passes people's notice. I could quickly check the document but have to go away to Sydney for a week or two and won't be able to get the email.
    Is there a chance this document started on a PC, either as a Word .doc or template, where the Arial MT font was used?
    I'd also check if you have a style "Normal" in the document, that is a dead give away that it came from MsWord.
    I just checked, and you should too, the Arial fonts installed on my Mac which are labeled Arial Regular, Italic, Bold and Bold Italic are in fact all ArialMT © Microsoft. You can get that information in Font Book, select the font and +Show Font Info+ (command i). I can't swear to the origin of my fonts though, a lot gets installed without my knowing, but they look like the Mac OSX fonts.
    If you do find these fonts with Font Book, turn them on and see what happens when you open the document.
    The Arial MT font may also be buried in the styles of the document or in Section templates that you may or may not have used. To clear the styles of the font you can force a new style over the existing ones by creating sample text and go to the Styles Drawer click on the arrow next to the style and go "Redefine Style from Selection".
    Once you have cleared out the document use the clean copy to share with your friend.

  • OS X Lion Mail change font of incoming messages?

    I'm setting up a new mac for a family member who has a bit of a problem viewing the incoming font for new messages, though everything else on the mac is fine with its current resolution and settings, its just they would like to change the Messages Font to size 18.
    This is not for composing, or the message list view, but the actual Email itself.
    Any ideas?
    thank you!

    On my machine it adjusts the font for the text in the body of the message, at least for the several I experimented with.
    I can imagine, however, that certain messages (e.g., HTML email) might force a non-default font.
    In any case, you can adjust the font size of any message with command= and command-  .  Or you can add a font-sizing button to the toolbar via "Customize toolbar..." in the View menu.

  • Can we change font size and font type in reports

    Hi All Technical/Functional Masters,
    We are developing some transactional reports in ISU. this report has 20 columns to be printed. On screen, display is not a problem but client has a requirement to download this report in PDF format and wants to print on A4-paper in Landscape. Although we have managed to accommodate all the columns on A4 paper but have to compromise with font size that are very small and not visible. If we download the report in excel format we are able to maintain the font size 8 and accommodate all columns after little format but same in PDF is a problem.
    Can anyone tell whether we can increase the font size and change font type(from SAP standard to 'Arial') before sending the output in PDF ? Is there any property or utility that can be changed or used for this purpose.

  • Changing preferred font types for each language separately in Safari

    Hi, I'm wondering in Safari->Preference->Appearance, you can change the default fonts for your main language, which is most likely English.
    However, if I want to change font types for each specific language, e.g. Japanese or Traditional Chinese, how could I do that? I assume that if I change in the Appearance menu, it's global to all languages (e.g. English)?
    Just to illustrate my question, in Firefox, I can go to Firefox->Preference->Content-> Fonts&Colors->Advanced, then I can change the font types for each language separately.
    How do I do similar things in Safari in Leopard? Thanks.

    But it seems very weird that for all the beautiful font types in Mac OS, the users are only stuck with the default font type only?
    Perhaps, but it's just an example of how different browsers and apps offer different features. You should use the browser that works best for you. While FireFox may be good for that feature, it can't display some languages, like Hindi, correctly at all.
    It is possible to change the font using a custom style sheet, which you can select via the advanced item in Safari preferences, but I don't think there is any way to do this on the basis of language.
    What language are you specifically interested in changing the default font for? If you are getting the wrong kind of font for CJK (for example, seeing Japanese character types instead of the Chinese ones in Chinese text), this might be fixable by changing the language order in system prefs/international/languages.

  • How to change Font size and alignment in Appraisal document - Font settings

    Dear Eperts,
    We are working on 360 Appraisal. Can Any body explain how to change the fornt size and allignment (text wrapping to wndow size) in Appraisal document.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Ajaykumar

    Hello Ajaykumar,
    if I am not completely mistaking the 360° Appraisal uses the Adobe Forms.
    In this case the font can be set in the Adobe Live Cycle Designer by selecting "Palettes" -> "Font".
    Here is a discussion which addresses this question, and also contains a link to how to handle Adobe Forms:
