IPad mail will not rotate
mail will not rotate. all other apps seem to rotate just fine. what's up with that and how do I fix it?
Have you tried closing the Mail app completely and seeing if it rotates when you re-open it ? From the home screen (i.e. not with Mail 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
If that doesn't work then you could try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

What have you tried, and what did Apple tell you ?
Is there a lock symbol at the top of the screen next to the battery indicator ? If there is, then depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (rotation lock or mute notifications), then you can lock/unlock the rotation by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). Closing apps in iOS 7 works like this. Drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
If that doesn't work, you might want to consider deleting the account and adding it back in - or going into your account on a computer - using webmail - and look for an email that has a large attachment that might be causing problems and causing the mail app to crash. -

IIn settings there is. Check mark by 'lock rotation' . Is thisreverting my screen from rotating? If so, how do I unlock it?
Do you see an icon in the upper right corner of your screen that looks like a small lock with a circular arrow around it? If so that icon is telling you that you have screen rotation locked and the screen will not rotate. To turn this off depends on the version of iOS that is on your iPad. The latest versions of iOS have the Control Center. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Control Center and look for that icon. Tap on it to turn it off or on.
Your iPad may also have the side switch set to lock rotation. This switch is on the side of the iPad. Toggle the switch and see if the icon for Rotation Lock disappears from your screen. -

The side switch is the key. Depending on your settings, it may affect the mute or it may affect the rotation lock. This support article from Apple provides detail.

In case you're wondering, here is the history. Originally, the mechanical switch affected only the rotation lock and the mute was a software switch elsewhere. In IOS-3, it was changed to be the mute switch and the rotation lock became a software switch. This was done to ensure consistency among IOS devices. Unfortunately, a large quantity of users complained loudly, alleging that they turned the rotation lock on and off several times every hour and the convenience of the mechanical switch is essential. In IOS-4, Apple bowed to the whiners and made the switch function selectable and now we're stuck with a mess.
There have been some problems accessing pages on the Apple web site. If the hyperlink gives you a "We're sorry" message, try again. -

Swipe up from the bottom on the screen to get to control centre...
The button on the right is the rotation lock... Turn it off.

Ios8 ipad mail will not print pdf it has opened automatically
Receiving pdfs sent as attachments to email. The ipad opens them and puts them on the page. But when I try to print the header and message prints but not the pdf.
If I go to the same email on the iphone ,also with ios 8, the file is an unopened attachment which prints easily.
To print directly from the ipad would please my partner immensely and perhaps save our marriage . . .

Are you trying to send the PDF as an attachment in an e-mail sent to the ePrint e-mail address of the printer or are you trying to print using the ePrint app?
Try sending the same PDF document to the printer's ePrint e-mail address and let us know if that works. If this works but using the ePrint app is not working, maybe the ePrint app is not working fine with this PDF document (it could be due to it's size or something else). Remember that you can always use the e-mail ePrint address of the printer to send PDF documents as the processing is happening at the HP servers and not in your iPad as when you try to send it using the ePrint app.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc. -

Is it only mail or other apps also? Make sure you not have rotation lock on by double clicking the home button, swipe to the right, and see that you do not have a lock for the circular arrow. If you do, click the lock.

I have an iPhone and new iPad. Epost mail will not open on my devices. Epost says Safari is not compatible with epost. Please address this issue. It is most annoying.
