IPad mail won't load

I recently tried to send a message with my comcast mail account on my iPad mini when ALL of my email disappeared -- everything! Should I delete my account from my iPad and somehow reinstall it? Will it wipe out my comcast account on my iPhone and Macbook Air?

Yes deleting your account and reinstalling will be the cleanest way to go
It will not affect either your emails or the account on your phone
I would do the following steps
Delete the account from iPad mini
Reset the device - no data loss incurred - Restart or reset your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Then re install the mail account
Please let us know what happens

    I've updated my operating system so that I could go on to upgrade to Lion, but in the interim my mail won't load - its telling me "an error occured while importing.  Make sure you have available space in your home folder and try again"...I can't even locate my "home" folder on my system...
    Any ideas how I can fix this?  And will upgrading to Lion without the mail box being fixed perhaps fix it?

    Sounds like something went pear-shaped somewhere along the line. I suggest reinstalling like this:
    * Go to [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?ref=logo Download Firefox 4.0] and download a fresh installation file to the desktop.
    * Then go to Add/Remove Programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (don't checkmark the box).
    * Then reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
    * Finally run the installation file you downloaded.
    After you complete the installation, go to the [http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ Plugins Check] page and update those if necessary.

    also happens to me, with Windows 7-64b, latest itunes installed and iPad updated to current iOS version (i achieved to sync once in 15 days after desabling antivirus NIS 2011, but never more achieved...)
    It is supposed that today's upgrade on iTunes version  was addressing this kind of problem, but not at all.
    It is funny, but my ipod nano it is synced perfectly, not any problem. but ipad  starts connecting, let's iTunes stuck for 4-5 minutes and later nothing into iTunes, no device.
    I have tried all solutions, including full uninstall of itunes and all the stuff related up to 9 times in the last days, but nothing to do.
    Do I need to pay for Apple care for a problem that have caused themselves? Are they going to do something to address this upsetting problem with the sync? Maybe it will be a solution to restore completely my ipad?
    Let's see if some on can find a workaround...

  • Ipad apps won't load when connected via Comcast wifi

    We are trying out Comcast for 30 days. We already had Uverse so right now we have both. When connect via Uverse everything works fine on my iPad as always has. Internet access, apps load etc. when I switch over to the Comcast wifi, I can access internet just fine. Sped test are all hella fast. But for some reason a few of my apps/games won't load. for example I have a price is right bingo game. It will not load when connected via Comcast. I get an error that say it won't connect and to check my internet access. and my internet access will be working fine.  If I switch back over to uverse the game will load.  There are a couple other apps doing the same thing. Anyone seen this before? I have an iPad Air 2 on iOS 8.1.2

    I understand that you are unable to use your internet based applications when connected to the Comcast network only.  I would recommend making sure that this Comcast network settings are updated to the recommend as outlined below.  Also make sure that all firewalls are disabled as well.

  • Ipad mail won't push on lock screen

    I have an outlook exchange account and a gmail account on my ipad mail with ios7. My mail doesn't show up while on lock screen and I have that selected in noticiation center. I have to start using my ipad (out of lock screen) to receive my emails. I would like it to work like my iphone. When an email arrives while on lock screen it appears as a notification. I checked all settings and they match that of my ipHone

    Each mail account can have different notifications.
    Be sure to check each account individually.
    Settings > Notification Center > Mail > you should see a list of all your mail accounts, check each one to make sure Show on Lock Screen is on.
    Also, make sure Do Not Disturb is off:
    Settings > Do Not Disturb > turn off both Manual & Scheduled

  • Aperture printed book in pdf (mail) won't load in iPad2

    Any one has an idea how to convert a book printed from Aperture to a pdf (mail) format so it will load in iPad
    The file resulting from my book of 100 pages was 541MB an it can be seen with Adobe Reader but when loaded to iPad goinf through  the recommended method of dropping it in iTuene and sync it with the iPad.
    Just loads the cover and 100 blank pages. If I open it it freezes the iPas and crash the app.
    Is there an application that can make smaller files from exiisting odf files?

    I just realized there was a step left out.  When you get to the Print window, first check "Selected Images in Sidebar" under Pages. Otherwise I think you just get another copy like the original.
    The revised process:
    Open the PDF in Preview.  Under View, be sure Thumbnails is checked, so you can see all pages next to the one you are reading.  Click on the first page thumbnail.  Under Edit, Select All.  Under File, select Print.  In the Print window, check "Selected Images in Sidebar" under Pages.  Then select PDF-Save as PDF, and give it a new name.
    This is a handy way to make a PDF out of several individual files.  Open one in Preview and check View-Thumbnails.  Then one-by-one, drag each file into the Thumbnail sidebar.  Drag them into the order you want.  Under Edit, Select All, et cetera.  It is possible to mix file types as long as each is compatible with Preview.

  • E-mail won't load... just 'Load More Messages...'

    My iPad 4 recently stopped updating it's e-mail whenever I run the e-mail app. The app starts up fine, but then acts like it's updating the mail, but then doesn't and only adds a "Load More Messages..." option.
    I've tried removing the account, load it again, in addition to restarting the device loads of times, but for naught.
    I just removed the e-mail account, restarted the device, added the e-mail account (double-checking the settings) and now the e-mail will only display the 'Load More Messages...' option. When I click on this it spends a few minutes thinking then does nothing.
    Is there a bug floating around out there or a recent glitch?

    Here was the problem I solved myself: My hosting service, Hostmonster, has a "convenient" application using a script that allegedly will set up your client Mail on a Mac for some standard email services, including iCloud. As long as the script was implemented, it was preventing my mailbox from connecting, not enabling it. The only way I know of to stop the Hostmonster script is to delete the account, and then manually reinstall it. That solved the problem.

  • Mail Won't load messages for viewing

    All of a sudden my email messages will not show. I checked with the connection doctor, everything is fine. As I "Get New Mail From Mailbox" it shows 128 messages but doesn't download them for viewing. If I "get account info" on the mailbox in question it shows all the new messages on the server, but still won't get them loaded on the viewer. I've deleted the mailbox and reconfigured from scratch...still nothing. Help

    Have you tried rebuilding the mailbox? Select the account in your Inbox, then choose Mailbox > Rebuild and wait for it to finish. Then restart Mail and see if the problem continues.

    Thank you everybody! But I have solved the problem on both iPad and iPhone by deleting the email account and then setting it up again. I had it on to display 200 emails and once it reached that I could not erase as mail would not stay open. Does anyone think that this is a glitch in the iPad??
    Once I deleted the account it got rid of all the emails and I am starting fresh again. Of corse all the emails are still on my computer!

  • Mac mail won't load old messages!

    I've been trying to set up my mail, but the account will only load up to 106 messages, though the 'incoming messages' bar says something around '506 of 628' messages incoming. Is there anyway to get them back? I've tried the rebuild option but it does absolutely nothing. I managed to get 400 to load, by fiddling with servers, and then clicked rebuild to get the rest and it took it back to 106! Please help, I'm not very good with tech language but I desperately need the old messages back!
    Also the mail I'm trying to recover is not a gmail/yahoo or anything, it is linked to my personal website which is hosted on TSO. I've tried using IMAP, POP, and turning off ssl but to no avail!

    I'm experiencing similar problems, inbox empties as soon as I open a message (I still can send/receives messages. Spent 1 hour with AT&T and Apple customer service; all the help they gave was "delete the account", which did not do anything...it reminded me (not in a good way) of the days of frequent MS Windows crashes and all the help MS would provide was "just restart your computer.." very frustrating so far.
    Anybody, please help! Thanks!! My yahoo mail works fine on Wifi or 3G, Safari does too, I tried my exchange email on wifi and 3G and get the same problem..
