My IPAD keeps restarting a few minutes after booting up. It keeps doing it again and again, after the same period of time. Grateful for any help!

If the above doesn't work, force iPad into Recovery Mode.
    1. Turn off iPad
    2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
    3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
    4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
    5. Release Home button.
    ON COMPUTER
    6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
    7. Select "Restore iPad"...
    Note:
    1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
    2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.

  • IPad 2 Restarts during Photo Sync via iTunes

    Version 5.0.1 (9A405)
    Model MC763LL
When I try to sync photos via iTunes (using iPhoto) my iPad keeps restarting. I have a single folder of around 400 photos taken on a Kodak Easyshare that I downloaded to my iPhoto Library on my Macbook but when I sync them to the iPad, it resets and continues to reset until I uncheck sync photos using iPhoto. I would like to sync my photos using iTunes any ideas?

Thanks for the suggestions. I haven't been able to sync any photos at all yet. I'm trying to sync a single folder, located within "My Documents / My Pictures"
What I meant by "including a folder of very small pictures" was this - I unclicked the "sync photos" box when the iPhone synced with iTunes, closed iTunes, resized the photos in another application to make them smaller, then reopened iTunes and tried to sync the folder containing the smaller photos, with no success at all.
I've tried deleting the iPod Photo Cache folder, then reopening iTunes and resyncing - no joy, iTunes re-creates the iPod Photo Cache folder then freezes.
I've also tried trying to sync a single photo - not one of the 300 I previously tried to sync. This doesn't work either.
    I'm completely stumped....

Could be the charger, cable or iPad. Plug the USB cable into your computer. It may say "Not Charging", however, it is charging slowly and will verify that the cable is good. If your computer/iTunes does not recognize the iPad, then the cable is probably bad.
Try this first -  Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.
How to Calibrate Your Mac, iPhone, or iPad Battery

At this link http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/galaxy-tab-android-tablet,3014-11.html , tests show that the iPad 2 battery (25 watt-hours) will charge to 90% in 3 hours 1 minute. It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. • Does my ipad make duplicates when i put photos in albums?!

    Hi,
Does my iPad make duplicates when i put them in albums? They apear on filmrol(photolist?) and when i try to delete it says: "delete everywhere?"
Another aspect (probably a bigger concern) of why this has my concern, is that it says i have 7.2 GB of photo's while i only have a 1000 or so photos on it! Even a digital illiterate like me knows 7.2MB per photo isnt normal. Most of them taken on a digital camera btw..
Can someone tell me whats going on and how i can solve/prevent this problem?
    Thanks in advace

    Is this information helpfull?
Yes. using the CCK, it transfers the compressed jpeg which should be about 2.5MB plus the raw file which according to your camera link is around 5MB.  So the math makes sense.
The following thread deals with the Raw portions of the images, and gives a few suggestions of how to get rid of them on the iPad.

  • HT201394 iPad air restarts frequently

My iPad air restarts frequently with a blue screen flash. This issue started after installing IOS 8.0. Any fix for this?

    (A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    (C) Setup as new
    Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

why is my ipad keep restarting almost every 5 minutes and also why is the screen not rotating.

Nobody here can answer a question like that. Try rebooting your iPad and see if that helps.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Have you tried resetting your iPad? I don't have a lot of confidence that it will work for you, but it's an easy thing to try and a good place to start.

If that doesn't help, you should probably restore the iOS software. You may even need to use recover mode. Both are covered in this in article.

In some folks' version of the world, you have plenty of ways. YOu have the aforementioned services, you have iCloud, all you need is an internet connection and you're good to go. And that works perfectly...if you always have the internet.
If you want more non-internet dependant ways, then the best way to let Apple know is to send them feedback. They don't monitor or respond to this forum (Beyond removing rule breaking posts) but they do at least log feedback. However, the lack of a file manager will always be an obstacle. There are some apps out there that have at least a pseudo file manager - as in the ability to move documents into multiple other apps. I have Readdle Docs which I can use to download and move things around with, but again, back to the internet or wireless.

  • Why does the iPad make the same noise when it connects to a charger that doesn't charge it as one that will charge it???

Why does the iPad make the same noise when it connects to a charger that doesn't charge it as one that will charge it???
I would expect that it would make an unusual noise if plugged into a generic USB charger that does not have enough oomph to charge a pad to alert you - otherwise, you might think the noise is reassuring that you are actually charging it.

I guess my question was actually more of a comment on the (lack of) design!  It is unusual that something like this would still be in an Apple product.  There are wall chargers that have a USB port on them that do not have the required oomph to charge the iPad.  I have one that has two USB ports, one for my iPhone  (it won't charge an iPad), and one for an iPad with greater amperage rating.  I accidentally used the wrong ones for a while yesterday, but noticed before being "surprised" the next morning by an uncharged iPad.  The iPad is smart enough to say "Not charging" by the battery icon when it is plugges in to one of these, so it "knows" - seems like it would be fairly simply to have the iPad make a different or additional noise  wehn it puts up the "Not charging" text icon.  Failsafe user experience?

  • After upgrading to IOS 7 my iPad keeps restarting - it is now unusable.

After upgrading to IOS 7 my iPad keeps restarting. I mostly use my iPad as an eBook reader and all I am trying to do is read a pdf in iBooks. I get about halfway down the page and the iPad screen goes black and I get the restart apple logo.
I have tried restoring the iPad back to factory settings and restoring my conent but issue keeps happening. My iPad has 57Gb capacity and 5Gb free space.
I need to get this fixed quickly as I rely on access to my pdf documents for work.

After upgrading to 7.1.2 (my Ipad had about 40% battery life left) my Ipad would constantly reboot.
I restored the Ipad back to factory setting and restored from back-up.
When this was done, much to my dismay, it still continued to reboot every 10-30 seconds.
I was pretty PO'd, so I plugged the Ipad into the wall and went to bed.
Next morning, the battery was fully charged and the Ipad no longer was rebooting !!!!
The only problem was that most of my APPs were grayed-out.  So, I deleted each of the apps and reinstall them.
The Ipad is working great ... I can't explain it !!!!  (only thing I can think of...I should have started to update with a full battery and/or with the charger plugged-in !
