    Hi
My iPad has some kind of mic issue.
I have called friends using Skype and Facetime and I can hear them fine but they cant hear me.  All they hear is a crackly / windy noise.
To test the mic I have used earphones with mic.  The same problem occurs.
    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
Note: Data will not be affected but settings for Wi-Fi, FaceTime, Message, Home Sharing will be reset

  • Ipad 2 mic problem

    1. My mic just suddenly has gone out of service. Only some scratching sound can be heard during video recording.
    2. I bought my iPad 2 in NY, March of 2011 - I am currenlty in Saudi Arabia,
         a. Is there any shop that can accommodate me to fix this mic problem?
          b. I have got only a scanned copy of the receipt from the Apple Store in Palisades - am I still covered with a warranty using this scanned copy?

Yes, hold a finger longways over most of the nozzle (if you have one) to confine the suction to a specific area. Also, do it for a prolonged period, and gently use a common pin to loosen any foreign matter that my be in it!

  • Mic problem of  windows 7 on a MacBookPro and wireless problem with macosx

recently, I installed windows 7 on my MacbookPro, it is MBP985(which has a sound card from Cirrus Logic).
everything works well but two things:
1)the first is about the microphone. The mic works, it even can be used with "windows speech recognition" which is complex use of the mic.I also can use the sound recorder and playback the sound.
but I just cant use the mic for skype or OICQ(a popular instant messenger in china), i dont know why but i'm sure this can be fix in some proper ways.
before that ,i try a lot, but just cant get it work.
    i need some help!
2)it is about the wireless (or wifi issues). I can access the network easily both macosx and win7 wiht my home wireless router, but with the macosx, it drops frequently, diagnostication always ask me to restart the router. I living in a house with 7 bedroom, that means i'm not the only one use the netwrok, so i cant restart the router so many times. So i'm dispported by macosx a little bit in this case(windows never give me this problem to me).i just dont know how to fix it.

another problem, when in college, it is another situation.
my college is Sheffield Hallam University. SHU provide wifi in various of area. \
Macosx can easily access the net but the windows not, so i'm so confused by these situation.
Fortunately,I'm lucky have two different lastest OS on my macbookpro, if one of them have some problem i can switch ot another quickly.
But I definitely need some help with those things, if some can give me some advice i do appreciate it!

  • Configure Mic for Skype

Sattellite P205 Webcam & Mic - I can configure the Webcam but the Mic doesn't seem to work.  Control Panel in Vista doesn't show an option for the Mic.  Skype has a test area and Webcam and Audio work byt Mic doesn't.  Suggestions?

I would try three things first.
    1) try to adjust sky and use it in different settings for example using the external mic or perhaps is a problem with the people you are talking to and not your device.
    2) it could be a problem with lollipop if so repairing the phone with Sony PC Companion can help.
    Sony PC Companion.
    http://support.sonymobile.com/us/tools/pc-companion/
    3) or if you would like try booting on safe mode before you repair with PCC to check if the problem is caused by a third-party app
How to boot on safe mode on Lolipop
    1. press and hold the power key
    2. once you get the pop up menu
    3. press and hold "power off"
    4. Boot on safe mode should become available

  • M-Audio 410 Firewire - Mic problems

    I have Windows i7 64bit, and a M-Audio 410 Firewire soundcard.
I can't get the mic to work in Skype, byt it works fine when I record with it in others audioprograms (Soundboth and Audition).
I can hear when people talk to me through Skype, but they can't hear me talking.
I have try to change set-up for mic in Skype funktions, but I can't make it work
Any idea of what I can do - I use a RØDE NTG-2 and Phantompower is on
When I speak in the mic I can hear it in my Headspeakers

I have the same problem, but on Mac and with a Yamaha n12 mixer or a Behringer usb - up until now I didn't find a way to solve this. I'm afraid it's a skype problem, our mixers have nothing to do with it...

  • Sound blaster zxr mic problem

    Hi,
I know this issue has been discussed, but still no solution.
Problem is that when i use mic on skype, my friends says my voice sounds damped and bass rich. It helps if i turn crystalizer off but then it gets static noise from somewhere(like fan humming).
Too pricy card to have this kind of issues unsolved.
    Software related?

Can you retry your ZXR microphone with Skype again but with the SBX ProStudio effects turned off? I think your noise cancellation wedge setting in the control panel may be too narrow, so you get the muffled voice sound instead of a light, airy sound.

  • 3GS Speaker Mic problem

I have a mic problem with 3GS 32GB running latest software v3.1.2. It works fine when making calls in standard mode, but the mic does not increase its sensitivity in speaker mode so that people can barely make out my voice. Speech is virtually inaudible speaking at it from just 30cm away. I tested it and there was no difference in mic volume between speaker and standard mode. The mic mesh is clean, and removing the phone cover made no difference, nor did restoring the iPhone or changing the SIM/carrier. I took it to the local Apple retailer and 3 other 3GS phones tested all had the same problem, but a 3G worked fine and calls were easily heard in speaker mode. Is this a problem with all 3GS phones?

I have found it myself. When Skype is running at the back plan, the app is routing sounds to ear speaker. Quitting app, solves the problem. This reply is for whom experience the same problem.

  • Help needed with HTC One regarding mic problem with noise cancellation

I picked up an HTC One last week, and so far I am loving the phone.  Great build quality, screen, sound - all as advertised.
However, there is one very annoying problem I am having.  When I am talking to someone, I can gear them great, but they keep telling me I sound muffled or robotic.  I performed some tests, and the problem appears to be something with the dual microphones and the HTC One's noise cancellation features.
Here are the tests I ran:
Typical phone call, with holding the phone as I normally do on the sides and to my ear.  Call result, pretty muffled voice.  I'd give the call quality a 5/10.
Help the phone as I typically do, but covered the mic hole on the back of the phone.  This definatelyimproved call quality.  Was louder and clearer, but not perfect.  I'd rate it at 8/10.
Help the phone towards the bottom, using my hand to kind of cup the bottom directing the sound to the bottom mic.  This was a further improvement in sound quality.  Rating would be 9/10.
Help phone as normal, but covered the bottom mic hole.  Very low volume and muffled sound.  Rating a 4/10.
Talked directly into the bottom of the phone into the bottom mic.  This gave perfect call quality and volume.  Rating a 10/10!
Talked directly into the mic on the back of the phone. Horrible quality, couldn't hear hardly anything. Rating 0/10.
Speaker phone on, held the phone up and moved it around as I would normally use a speaker phone.  Call quality was really nice.  Id give it 9/10.
Speaker phone on, covered back mic hole and used speaker phone as in #7.  Very bad quality, rating 1/10 for call quality.
Speaker phone on, covered bottom mic and help speaker phone in hand.  Really good quality, even an improvement over test #7.  Would give the call quality a 9.5/10.
Speaker phone on, placed face down on table.  Volume a bit low, a little muffled.  Call quality 6/10.
Speaker phone on, place face up on table.  A bit worse than test #10, low volume and a bit muffled.  Call quality is 5/10.
Based on these tests, I know this problem has nothing to do with the network CDMA connection.  It is obvious that the noise cancellation features are a bit too aggressive, or I have some hardware problem with one or both mics.
I question wether its really a hardware mic problem, because on non-speaker phone calls, talking directly into the bottom mic gives great quality.  And on Speaker phone, covering the bottom mic makes the speaker phone sound really good.  That's why I think there's something going on with the "Sense Sound" noise cancellation.
Is anyone else seeing the same issues?  I want to be able to hold the phone normal on a non speaker phone call and get good quality.
Looking for any tips and advice anyone can give.  Is it worth exchanging for a new one, as I am still in my 14 day window.
Thanks in advance for the help!

iPad sync problem - HELP!  I keep getting this message "...cannot be synced because there is not enough free space to hold all of the items in the iTunes library (additional ...space needed)"  and yet I seem to have plenty of space on the iPad.  This just started today.  I even tried deleting some things to make even more room, but it didn't help.  Any ideas???
I was thinking of restoring, but I've never done it...  should I?
    thank you!

  • Mic problems with all boards thread! What do we do to fix this or do we need a new boa

I have come the conclusion that this is not just a mic problem but a uni'versal line in problem since several devices can be connected thru my SoundBlaster Li've! 24-bit line in port. I'm assuming its a software problem and it seems to be a common problem. The second possibilty is that part of the board is either defected or assembled incorrectly. Either way everyone seems to have made sure that:
    A. there drivers are up to date.
    B. they have dissabled any other audio device in windows or in BIOS.
    C. there mic won't work no matter what port they attempt.
    D. creative software changes of audio devices and mixer still don't change anything.
I came on here for answers yet all i find is questions.
And all seem to be pretty similar. There are many other posts pertaining individual audio cards, yet they all have the same problem. If your having the same problem post here and keep this thread ali've, if you have an answer to your own problems you'd like to share post it here. Hoping for a Creative response to either my post or one of the many other posts on the same subject.Message Edited by syferus on 09-23-2005 0:30 AM

If you have a PCI-GPIB card, you needn't worry about the USB port or whether or not Windows ME supports 1394. All you need in NI-488.2 version 1.70 from National Instruments. Install this driver and then insert your card. Windows should detect the card and find the proper driver.
If this did not happen in the proper sequence, look in the device manager and see if the card was installed as an "other device". If this happens, remove the card in the device manager and have windows redetect it. If this is not a solution, you may consider the ask an engineer page at www.ni.com/ask. Provide as many details as possible.

  • Mic problem & warrenty issue .

    Hiii
I have iPhone 4S which is having mic problem i guess.During voice calls the call receiver at other end unable to hear my voice on handset mode but on speaker mode he can hear my voice.
Also wanted to know in which country my phones warrenty is valid .
    iPhone4S
    Model: MD241LL/A
    Serial No.: DNPHN0Z3DTD6

    Hi Alankar,
Make sure your iPhone case is not covering the mic. It is on the bottom to the right or left of the connector. Have you tried a call without a case on the phone?
Your Model Number indicates that this is a US phone, so the warranty would be valid in the US.
    Cheers,

hi, i just bought an ipad.my problems is the privious owner dont reset the apple id.i just reset the ipad.now i cant active the ipad with my apple id.what can i do?

You will have to contact the previous owner and ask him/her to remove the iPad from their account, he/she is the only person that can do it : Find My iPhone Activation Lock: Removing a device from a previous owner’s account - you won't be able to use the iPad until they do so.
