Ipad min problem with Safari connection

I recently bought an ipad mini.  Whilst away from home I tried to access the internet via Safari and "no internet connection" came up.  What am I doing wrong?

    My ipad mini was working fine before the 6.1.3 upgrade, immediately after updating, the wifi stopped working. Restore the iPad to its factory settings as deleting both my data and to reintroduce the network, was still not working.

    Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Some other things to try:
    1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
    2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

    4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
    5.  Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)

        •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

    Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.

    Yes, I've got too much time on my hands.  I didn't buy any of those $32M, I earned it all racing.  Represents a lot of time on all the tracks and I don't seem to get tired of racing.  I just wish the Firemonkeys were more generous with their game $ and gold helmets.

    I'm italian user.
    I have iPad 2 wi-fi + 3G. When I turn-on 3G connection it's impossible to connect on internet.
    If I cancel and rewrite APN the connection start again. But it's impossible to do this every time.... My firmware is 4.3.1 and I already restored.... Solutions????

    I have the same problem (well, similar). UK iPad 2 32Gb Wifi+3G.
    Normally I have the 3G turned off unless I need it as when i'm at home it uses Wifi.
    However, if I disable Wifi and then enable 3G, although the 3G comes up, the IP connection doesn't. I have to restart the iPad with the wifi disabled and 3G enabled to get the 3G to work.
    I would suggest the issue is with their implementation of the IP stack and it not clearing out routes properly (or letting go of DHCP possibly) if you enable Cellular data whilst the iPad is on. The IP stack doesn't seem to be routing out through the 3G in that case and therefore nothing thinks it can see the Internet?
    The only way we can conclusively test that is for someone to jailbreak the device to get to the command line and take a snapshot of the routing tables for each configuration. That will show where the error is.
    But the simple answer is you're not alone, and it'll need Apple to fix it (it can't be carrier specific as I'm on Orange Uk and you're not!)

    Reset the device:
    Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
    If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
    You may have to re enter your Wi-Fi password.

    OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
    After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
    Switching it on had no effect
    resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
    after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
    switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
    On IOS 7 no problems
    The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options

  • Possible BUG? A problem with Safari on IPhone & IPad

    Hi all...
    I have a problem with safari on Iphone & Ipad, my animations are not working
    This is what the code does...
    Upon load an event fires and and the "ready" animation starts (its a box that gets bigger and smaller), but the animation will not work on IPhone & IPad when i have an SVG or PNG file anywhere within my composition..
    I know this sounds crazy so i have attached the sample code

    If you try deleting the "theProblem" (which is an SVG file) from the composition and then re-run it on Iphone & Ipad and you will see that it animates..
    This problem does NOT occur on any other browser
    With my limited knowledge i can only assume that it is something basic i have missed..

    I started thinking that maybe my home webserver was causing the issues..

    1. Power off the router. Unplug it from the wall. Wait a while.
        Plug it back to the wall. Power the router on. Wait until all the lights are lit properly. It will take a while.
        Restart the computer.
        Start up in Safe Mode.

        Close all windows and quit all applications.
        Hold "option" key down and click "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
        Select "Library" from the dropdown.

        Close windows and relaunch Safari.
    3. Empty Caches
        Safari > Preference > Advanced
        Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
        Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
        Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
    4. Delete Cookies
        Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies and other website data:
        Click “Remove All Website Data”.

    After updating my daughters iPad Mini retina display, safari crashes as soon as anything is entered in the search box. This started after IOS 8.0.2 update.
    I have rebooted and reset the iPad. I have cleared the history and website data, but nothing has helped.

    Try some basic troubleshooting:
    (A) Try reset iPad
    Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
    (B) Try reset all settings
    Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
    (C) Setup as new (data will be lost if you do not have backup)

    The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W).     HI and welcome...
    Remove that particular desktop wallpaper. That's probably what's causing your to lose History and TopSites.
    Open a Finder window. Now open the Library folder then the Safari folder. See if that wallpaper is hiding in the Safari folder. Mine does that also. If it's there, move it to the Trash but don't empty the Trash.
    Quit Safari (Command + Q) Now relaunch Safari. If History and TopSites are ok, then empty the Trash. It's that image causing the problem.

    I too, am having problem with SAFARI.
    I have been unable to log in my Flickr account. I did succeed the first day and then...it just idle and no connection with site.
    The ZOOM problem has occurred to me in a couple occasions. I did close the browser and re-opening it did fix it. Miracle or need a fix??
