IPad Mini and the Power PC Mac

Is there a method of connecting an iPad Mini - OS 6.1.3 to iTunes 10.6.3 on a G5 Power PC Mac running  OSX 10.5.8. - as is it requires iTunes 10.7, which is not available for a Power PC Mac. Is there a fix for this problem??

According to the specs and requirements listed on the box and the Apple website:
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later
There is nothing to fix or work around, the ipad is working as intended.

How can I import all my gmail contacts into iPad? I use iPad mini and the solutions available on the web are not compatible.

Hello and thanks for the answer.
I meant by "not compatible" that all the solutions that I found on the web did not work, especially the "Microsoft exchange" one.
Fortunately I found on the comments of the first website you mentioned the right answer for me, which I copy below:
Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CardDav Account.
Enter the following information in the fields:
    Server: google.com
User Name: Enter your full Google email address
    Password: Your Google account password
Select Next at the top of the screen to complete the setup.
After you have completed the setup, open the Contacts app on your device. Syncing should begin automatically.
    Additional Information
Note: Make sure that SSL is enabled (under Advanced settings), and that the port is 443.
If you are using application based special password go to https://accounts.google.com/Se... and instead of your password put that special code and u r done.

Try this First... No Data will be Lost...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
    Release the Buttons..

SIM card has nothing to do with your Apple ID or apps.
IOS devices do not store anything on the SIM card.
    BAckup everything on the iPads.
REstore tbe ipad from the backup of the other iPad.
    REpeat for the other one.

  • I have an ipad mini and the updates tab on appstore is not showing anything once i open it. It shows that there are three updates available but when i open it there is nothing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

My ipad mini is showing nothing when i open the updates tab on appstore whereas it continously shows three updates available on homescreen.

There are a number of other threads from people reporting a problem with a blank Updates tab in the App Store app - it looks like there is a problem at Apple's end which they need to fix.
Some posts are suggesting that you if you go into the Purchased tab in the App Store app you might be able to update the apps from there, though you will need to scroll through the list to find those with updates and individually update them.

  • I got an ipad mini and the previous owner will not remove ipad from his icloud.

My boyfriend bought an Ipad mini from his friend, who got it from someone else.  After I reset the Mini and inputed my Itunes information, the previous owner was able to view my information.  He called and texted me for a few days.  I was wondering if there were anyway for me to remove my Mini from the previous owners icloud or account, so that he wont be able to view my account information.

If the iPad was totally erased before you got it, or if you erased it and set it up again, there is no way he can access any of your information on it. I don't see how he could access anything in your account on the iPad anyway, remotely that is.
Did you erase the device first in Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings and then activate it again as a new device?

  • Just bought an ipad 3 and the power lead has been damaged - please advise replacement details

Need a new ipad 3 power lead - please advise what the replacement part is called?
    Thanks

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • Ipad mini and the cloud

I want to sign in to iCloud on my mini.
My system is updated. All I get is the "set up account"window when I go to iCloud.com
Even though it is (the iCloud) marketed as being accessible on all devices I am reading on various forums that it is not, is this true?
I am also reading that I need to download a different browser (other than safari) to sign in to iCloud to on my mini is this correct?
Can I have two browsers on my mini?
Which other one would be recommended.
I am travelling and need to work on some documents.
    Thank you all

iCloud.com is not accessible from iDevices.
You can use a computer to access iCloud.com or Use an App on your iPad to access a specific iCloud feature.
All features in iCloud have an app that accesses them on the iDevice.
So to access anything on iCloud.com use the relevant App on the iPad.  If you want to view Pages documents you can use Pages. If you need to access your contacts use the Contacts App etc...

  • I bought a second hand ipad mini and the owner forgot his apple id password i have reset the ipad but i cant deactivate it because its asking for the apple id password i have try to reset the password but its asking security questions what should i do?

Please help? How can i activate second hand ipad if its asking the old apple id password?

Take it back. The activation lock is an anti-theft measure and there is no way to bypass it. The seller should have wiped it clean for you and if they can't then it's a very real possibility that the device wasn't theirs to sell in the first place.
You bought a device that can never function so get your money back.
