Ipad mini auto lock question

I put the auto lock to 10 mins but when my ipad mini is turned off and i turn it on with the little apple on the screen the screens seems to automatically turn off right after the lock screen appears. Is it normal?? I once had a samsung tab and it was doing that all the time and i realized it was messed up.
Thank you. Have a nice day.

My 32 GB iPad 2 has a capacity of 28.3 GB.
It should be approximately the same for any 32 GB iPad.

    for ipad,
    if you go to settings-General
You can select between using the side switch to lock rotation or mute.  If you select one mute, then the lock rotation icon will show up in the control center.  If you select lock rotation, then the mute will show up.  THe side switch is then used for the other option.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Hi my husbands ipad mini is locked on a betting app he made a bet received a receipt and thats all that is on the screen. We have turned it off start agin and there it is took out card still there can't access any keys on screen ??

Hi my husbands ipad mini is locked on a betting app. he put a bet on got a receipt and its stuck on the screen. We cant access the ipad at all. Have turned off taken out sim card to no avail Can anyone help us. first time users!

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off button at the same time for approximately 10-15 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons and await restart. No content will be affected.

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

You can't, and Apple won't unlock that device for you; the activation lock is an anti-theft measure. Take it to the police, or if you found it in a facility, the people running the facility.

A lot of computers don't provide enough power to their USB ports to charge the iPad at a sufficient rate - it may still be charging slowly, and should be a bit quicker if the iPad's screen is off (if you leave it for a while and then disconnect it from your computer you may find that it's battery percentage has gone up). The wall charger is usually the most efficient way to charge the iPad.

  • My iPad Mini was locked up today (for the first time) on a boot screen, with a Debugger Message: Panic. Should I bother trying to fix, or return to store?

My iPad Mini locked up for the first time today. A boot screen, with among many other things, a Debugger Message: Panic. Is there a fix for this even though I can't seem to even get it to reboot past this error, or am I wasting my time and need to return it?

if it is still within the return period, return it.  Why try and fix a new iPad.

  • My apple Ipad mini has locked me out it wont take my password how do I change for password?? only goes to put password in

i forgot my pass code to get into my ipad mini how do i get in to change it and or take it off
it wont let me get i to my homescreen to go to settings it takes me to the front page and then when I swipe it to go to the homescreen it takes me to my pass code and then if i try it locks it

Unfortunately, you will need to restore the device to factory settings. Plug it into iTunes on your computer and hit restore.
If that does not work for any reason, try recovery mode. Unplug the iPad from the computer; hold down the home button; and plug it into iTunes with the home button still held.
If you get an air while trying to restore, plug it into the computer; make sure the device is off; press and hold the sleep button for about five seconds; while still holding the sleep button, press and hold the home button at the same time for about 15 seconds; now release the sleep button, but continue holding the home button for additional approximately 10 seconds.
Your devices showld now be in DFU mode and you can restore it with iTunes.

  • My ipad mini is locked on language selection in start up

I have just taken my ipad mini out of the box, turned it on and it locked up on language selection. I can't get past selecting english.

    Hi OcelotC,
From your post I understand that your iPad is currently locked due to entering in the incorrect password too many times, due to not being able to pull up the Russian keyboard when entering the passcode.  Given that time has passed, you should be able to tap on the globe icon next to the space bar on the keyboard to change which keyboard language is shown on the device.
    Change the language
If more than one keyboard is on, you can change the language while typing with two methods:
Tap the Next Keyboard  key to choose the next language. The chosen language shows on the Space bar.
Touch and hold  to display a menu of the enabled keyboards.
Drag to choose a new keyboard.
In iOS 6 and later, the language of the keyboard determines the language of the dictionary, if one is available for the language. To get the definition of a word, select the word and tap Define (if it's available).

  • Ipad min magnetic lock

Hello I have the ipad 2 ,,, this evening we brought our son a ipad mini  and a case ,,, not the apple Smart Cover ,,,but we notice it doesn't shut of until the time stated of 2 minutes ,,,, has anyone else found this ???

Are you sure you got a cover that supports the feature?  Not all covers have magnets in them and in which case they don't support the auto sleep feature.  Make sure the case you have supports that feature if it doesn't then that is why, if it does then you might want to check and see if it works on other iPads and if it does then you'll want to take that mini in to an Apple store and have them look at it while it is still under warranty.  I would pretty much figure that the case doesn't support that feature before going straight to a hardware problem
