Ipad mini battery closed down. recharged overnight. will not boot up.

How to re-boot after battery complete discharge. Unit shut down owing to flat battery. Re-charged overnight. Will not boot up. What next?

A reset may help. Tap and hold the Home button and the On/Off buttons for approximately 15-20 seconds, until the Apple logo reappears. When the logo appears, release both buttons.

    Try this:
    1. Close all inactive apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
    2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo.

  • Battery Error 601 and Notebook will not boot

My notebook will not bootup anymore.  It was running fine then I just closed the screen and went to class.  Usually this just puts it to sleep.  When I opened it back up, it would not start...  It was totally dead.  When I plug it into the charger, I see a "Pimrary Battery Error" 601 displayed for a few seconds and then it starts to bootup.  It never fully boots-up, it shuts off totally before I get past the little HP splash.
When I plug the charger into the notebook, I see the charging orange LED for a little while, but then it switches to white and then back to orange and then totally off.   I have tried multiple chargers and it always does the same thing.
Since the notebook will not boot even when plugged in, I am suspecting something in the charging system/main board more than the battery.  Is there anyway to tell which components are bad?
This is an almost 2 year old Envy 4-1215dx, Product ID: D1A99UA#ABA
It's been a great notebook upto now...  Any ideas on what to check and how?

Here's a link with an explaination and troubleshooting steps for the error you are experiencing.
    HP Battery Alert
You can also try a Hard Reset in order to get you PC to boot long enough to run a diagnostics.
    Hard Reset
You may also try with the battery removed and just the AC Adapter.
If nothing seems to work you can always try a new main battery since they usually are fairly inexpensive. Just Google the Part# shown on your battery.

  • IMac hard drive keeps going down and now will not boot up.

This is my first post here so I hope I am in the correct area. I recently purchased a iMac 24" Intel Core 2 Duo Processor, 2.16GHz, 2GB RAM. It ran well at first but now I keep getting errors that say "There has been a problem with your system, you must turn off the computer by pressing and holding the power button on the back of the panel". This has been happening more and more often.
I took it to a local Apple auth repair shop. The guy looked at it for 10 minutes, said everything is fine and sent me home.
Now when I turn the computer on all I get is a blank white screen that never changes.
I just switched from PCs to Macs, I have to say that I am more then a little frustrated with how poor the computer has been. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do now. I do have the Applecare for another 26 months. Thank you.

"There has been a problem with your system, you must turn off the computer by pressing and holding the power button on the back of the panel".
This means Mac OS has crashed. Mac OS shouldn't crash too often. You should give applecare a call. They'll probably tell you to re-install the OS.

put 1 stick of RAM in each slot
All same results.  Lock up at loading CD Rom driver
Put in Kingston ValueRam (Kingston recommended for this board)

AMD agreed, RMA'd proc with AMD
    Got "new" processor back
    Same exact thing

I high level formatted one of my SATA in ~ 10 minutes. Discovered I had bad XP install disk  , but rig with K8T will boot off the CD Rom with no issues.
Is this a nForce 3 issue I am seeing or a flaky board?
I have RMA with NewEgg, but any help appreciated if I can get this fixed before I box it all up......
    jbe

Yes.  I suspected the cables as well and put in a set of known working ones from my 2200+
I want to make it clear that when I put in the NEO FISR2 the only thing I changed was the motherboard and it booted.
I was hoping that I had overlooked a BIOS setting, but when it would not boot after clearing CMOS and flashing to 1.25 with "fail safe" defaults I gave up.
Board is on its way back to New Egg for exchange.
    Thanks for the replies.....

  • My iPad mini battery dies super quick

Anyone have a. Solution to solving this issues with my iPad mini battery?

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
The quickest way (and really the only way) to charge your iPad is with the included 10W or 12W (5W on Mini) USB Power Adapter. iPad will also charge, although more slowly, when attached to a computer with a high-power USB port (many recent Mac computers) or with an iPhone Power Adapter (5W). When attached to a computer via a standard USB port (2.5W, most PCs or older Mac computers) iPad will charge very slowly (but iPad indicates not charging). Make sure your computer is on while charging iPad via USB. If iPad is connected to a computer that’s turned off or is in sleep or standby mode, the iPad battery will continue to drain.
Apple recommends that once a month you let the iPad fully discharge & then recharge to 100%.

It will charge to 100% in 4 hours 2 minutes. The new iPad has a larger capacity battery (42 watt-hours), so using the 10W charger will obviously take longer. If you are using your iPad while charging, it will take even longer. It's best to turn your new iPad OFF and charge over night. What kind of ipad mini / ipad 2 you got?
    AFAIK,
    1. ipads drain battery with 3g/4g on (regardless on wifi or not) 1% overnight.. so for 7 days .. 65 is about correct.
    2. Are your ipads setup to receive remote push notification? (more push = more battery drain.. as the screen lit up)
    3. With iOS 6 vs iOS 4 .. there are more stuff running in the background and more toggles.. that could also contribute to battery drain.

Do you mean that you did a soft-reset ?
Try clearing Safari's cache : Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies And Data and also Clear History
If that doesn't fix it then try closing Safari via the iPad's multitaskingbar and see if it works when you re-open it :double-click the home button to open the taskbar and then swipe or drag the Safari app's 'screen' up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
After trying the above you could also do a soft-reset (even if this is what you've already done it might be worth trying after clearing Safari's cache and closing the app via the taskbar) : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
