Ipad mini bluetooth wont pair
I have a ipad mini w/retina. Suddenly it won't pair on bluetooth with my keyboard. I've cold started and tried several different keyboards. I see a message that lasts less than a half second giving the digit code but then a message overwrites that ballon with the unable to connect message. Thoughts?
Hello AMSUSIE,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
From your post I understand you're having issues connecting your Apple Wireless Keyboard to your iPad mini. Have you tried unpairing the wireless keyboard, and then pairing it again?
Use an Apple Wireless Keyboard
You can use an Apple Wireless Keyboard (available separately) to enter text on your iPad. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth, so you must first pair it with iPad.
Pair an Apple Wireless Keyboard with iPad. Turn on the keyboard, go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth, then tap the keyboard when it appears in the Devices list.
Once it’s paired, the keyboard reconnects to iPad whenever it’s in range—up to about 30 feet (10 meters). When it’s connected, the onscreen keyboard doesn’t appear.
Save your batteries. Turn off Bluetooth and the wireless keyboard when not in use. You can turn off Bluetooth in Control Center. To turn off the keyboard, hold down the On/off switch until the green light goes off.
Unpair a wireless keyboard. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, tap next to the keyboard name, then tap “Forget this Device.”
See Bluetooth devices.

Hi guys, I'm having a really annoying problem with my iPad mini (1st gen). I have a bluetooth receiver for my speakers at my place, and my iPad is having issues connecting to the amp. At a range of about 10 feet the audio keeps breaking up and the music is unlistenable. for a comparison, my iPhone 6 can play music at around 30 feet through two walls.
my iPad wasn't always like this. It used to perform relatively well. Any advice?I was just trying to connect a wireless keyboard via the Bluetooth app on my ipad mini and was just seeing the search circle go round and round with no luck.
I then went into the main Settings and clicked on the Bluetooth icon under the WiFi one and lo and behold the keyboard showed up, I clicked on it and received the pairing code. Success! -
I just bought two iPad minis and the Bluetooth has been working great to sync purchased apps until today. Now it just spins and says searching under devices. I've tried turning wifi off on both and restarting several times. Can anyone help??
Hi CarrieL,
Welcome to the Support Communities!
If I understand your question ... you are trying to update both of your iPad minis when you make a purchase on one of them. Is that correct? The simple solution is to change your settings in the iTunes & App Store to automatically download purchases to each device.
Purchase, rent, or redeem - iPad User Guide
http://help.apple.com/ipad/7/#/iPaddd072760
Bought something on another device? Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store to set up automatic downloads to your iPad. To see your purchased music, movies, and TV shows, in iTunes Store, tap Purchased.
I hope this information helps ....
Happy Holidays!

Is there a problem with the new operating system on the iPad that keeps the Apple bluetooth keyboard from pairing?
I have the same issue after todays upgrade.
Solved by using third party bluetooth dongle
Definitely a yosemite software issue. -
My plantronics paired with ipad and now wont pair with phone
I have tried pairing and it just keeps saying that there is no blue tooth to connect to, it worked fine til I got my new ipad, it paired to it and lost the connection to my phone, I had a jabra head set and it connected, so I know the phone is working. but it keeps actinng like the plantronics doesn't exist. . I turned off the blue tooth on the ipad thinking that would help but it still will not connect to my phone. Help!
Check this support document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1664 and make sure you are putting both of the devices into pairing mode. If it connected in the past, you may need to remove it from the list on the phone to get ready to pair again.

I cant export my photos from my mac to my ipad , bluetooth wont se
i cant export my photos from my mac - osx - 10.6.8 to my ipad air , bluetooth wont recognise it
That's because Bluetooth is not supported out of the box for the transfer of photos to the iPad from your Mac. There are third party apps that let you transfer over WiFi or Bluetooth. I use this one. There are others in the App Store that you can check out.
Wireless Transfer App - Share, sync & backup photos, pictures ...
You can also sync photos from the Mac to the iPad using iTunes.

i have just recieved my ipad mini. it wont sync with the computer as me Itunes is only version 6 the Ipad says it needs version 7. have done an update and downloaded the Itunes again but its still 6. How can i make my pad work with my compter - (christmas pressie for the kids - need it up and running before wrapping it up!!) Thanks K.
You need a much later version than iTunes 7 so I'm not sure what you are talking about. If the iPad is running iOS 6 I'm quite sure that you need iTunes 10.7 - unless that is what you mean.
Here are the iPad technical specifications. You must meet theses requirements in order to use an iPad with iTunes on a computer.
Perhaps your computer doesn't meet the requirements for iTunes 10.7. Click on the link below to download the latest iTunes.
Apple ID (required for some features)
Internet access6
Syncing with iTunes on a Mac or PC requires:
Mac: OS X v10.6.8 or later
PC: Windows 7; Windows Vista; or Windows XP Home or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later

I've read posts and tried resetting ipad, bluetooth, peripherals, etc
